If Atiku and pdp can pursue this case to the logical end I can bet it history us about to be make. Buhari govt and his apc boyscouts has offended the judiciary so much that every judge in Nigeria are ready to disgrace Buhari and apc in any election petition before them. Pdp will thrash Buhari in this case the evidence of rigging by apc is too appalling and too visible. I stand with Atiku and pdp. Election rigging, looting, intimidation and harrassement must stop and I pray Buhari will be the sample case if even pdp lost this case it will still stand as warning to future rigging. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Omonoba1:APC will crush PDP if PDP tries to make this case an APC vs PDP thing. But if they focus on INEC and on the weaknesses of their process, then it will be easier. "The use of card reader in elections is foreign to our law" is a PDP argument that led to a precedence at the Supreme court but PDP can try to over turn this by basing their argument on Chapter 1 of the electoral act and the 2019 INEC election guidelines. This is the reason we need Ikpeazu, this falls in his area of strength. If that precedence is overturned, it is over for APC, because I am sure APC is building their cases on some electoral precedences. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

IamaNigerianGuy:Just like PDP is making mistake including Buhari's certificate in the Tribunal, it will be struck out. That case is already in court as a pre-election matter and as a separate civil case and no court has jurisdiction to hear a case that is already in another court. Unless of course, they are approaching the matter from a different angle. 1 Like 2 Shares |

senatordave1: That's my greatest fear for Atiku if they rely on card reader and Inec saver. Our electoral law don't recognize any of the devices. In reality, there's so much gap between the NIGERIA PRESENT DAY ELECTION and the NIGERIA ELECTORAL LAW. Meaning that, new method has been introduced lately to the conduct of our election to checkmate irregularities like rigging. But the institution failed to back these newly introduced methods with the electoral law. The law only recognizes the ancient method that's why voters register is the most POWERFUL in the tribunal. Except the new electoral ACT is signed, it would be difficult to win a case without good evidence from other sources recognized by the present electoral law. 1 Like |

“An order directing the 1st Respondent to issue Certificate of Return to the 1st Petitioner as the duly elected President of Nigeria. “That it may be determined that the 2nd Respondent was at the time of the election not qualified to contest the said election. “That it may be determined that the 2nd Respondent submitted to the Commission affidavit containing false information of a fundamental nature in aid of his qualification for the said election”. In the alternative, the petitioners prayed the tribunal to nullify the February 23 presidential election and order a fresh poll. If PDP have a strong case as they claim with 400 witnesses they will not putting up such alternatives, especially alternatives 2, 3 and 4. This just shows they are just trying to put up for media trials and nothing more. All these INEC server, finger print forensic expert, etc, etc, are just a funny way to put up a case. Is there any correlation between the INEC server and finger print gotten from the card readers to authentication/validation of votes as claimed by PDP? It appears most of these fellows did not vote and are only trying to make fool of the populace. 1 Like |

ChristianNorth:Before ikpeazu won that case for inec, apc already set that precedence when the supreme court dismissed the argument of agbaje's team arguing base on section 1 of the electoral law.that was the first guber case judged by the supreme court in 2015.it set the stage for other polls to be upheld.until the card reader is directly inserted in our electoral act,its a waste.buhari didnt sign the electoral act for a reason.so bury this card reader issue. 2 Likes |
