These are some SAT centers in Nigeria and 3 of them are close to you. SAT has her official practice test and answers and they are 7 in number which you can get on collegboard anytime.

Since you applied for computer science, explain to the V.O the course you applied for which is computer science and say its under liberal arts and science college. Go with your admission letter too. University of Wisconsin-Madison is a very good school, you will get your visa.

I am just seeing your profile n saw your moniker is "point guard," which means u wish to play basketball at Duke, if I am not wrong.

Duke has one of the best basketball program at college level n most of their players are good enough to enter the NBA straight from high school. In short, u basically want to go to Duke to contest with NBA quality players, n I don't think u can acheive that except u hv a special feature like a 7feet height.

Why not put more effort in SAT n get in like any other undergraduate with a scholarship, when u get to Duke or any other program with great basketball teams, u can go do their trials afterwards.

Going to Duke on a basketball ticket AS A POINTGUARD looks a lot more impossible than possible.

Set a more realistic goal, get a good SAT scores n use your basketball to brush up your application.

I think it is very wrong to make this statement without knowing the qualities of the person in question. Have you seen the video of the poster? Do you know if he is NBA quality already? Even if he is not as good as other applicants, some times (in fact, a lot of times), luck plays a big part in these decisions.

Mr. Poster, don't let anyone limit your goal. Apply to whatever program you want to and if you get rejected, activate a plan B or retry again.

Hi, I don't think you should be bothered by this.

Go to the interview well prepared. And yes, tell the VO your real course. Give very solid answers to every question you are asked. Look confident. If the VO raises questions about what is written on the i20, tell the VO that "my program is Computer Science and under the SEVIS(or whatever) classification in my school, it is categorized as liberal arts and sciences. Feel free to make further inquiries from my school if you need further clarification". This way, you are putting the ball in the VO's court and the VO will not need to make further clarification cos he/she knows you know what you are saying.

In summary, I don't think this is an issue. Your school is UW-Madison which is a solid school, especially in CS. You have nothing to worry about.

Guys gotta hustle. The time will come when priority shifts, when coming here will no longer be a priority on the list of our to-dos. I don't know what is happening with these guys, but I have a feeling they got a lot and better things to do and the time is so short. I know they are doing great. America life no easy, and you self know.

The focus should not just be about getting admission and securing scholarships. Do work on your confidence for the interview too. You could get funding and still be refused if you refuse to do your homework.

Besides, I personally know a guy who got into a Tennessee University from 200level in a Nigerian University based on basketball ALONE, dude was a freak. That's another possibility. Loads of other guys r also drafted to go play highschool basketball, n then switch to college basketball. U can also try the basketball camps like Ejike's camp, u can get exposure to foreign coaches. Between me n bracelum, u can deduce d person who knows what he is saying. This is not some phantom motivational quote.

You can always play professional basketball, but don't hang so tight onto this Duke's ticket.

Why r we even having this argument when he can actually try?

To Op, prepare a video, cc all the coaches in Duke, n send it. What are d coaches will be looking for?
1. They want to see actual games footage not the weekend 3v3.
2. Ball handling
3. Ball Distribution n vison
4. They want to see d follow through on your shots.
5. If u have steals.
6. Transition from defense to attack n vice versa.
7. How well do u protect the ball when bouncing?
It also has a lot to do with the fundamentals. Don't do the fancy.
8. Shooting accuracy especially under pressure.
9. Communication
10. Your ability to play right according to instructions is very important.

But If u r 7 feet, u don't really need any of the above listed 10 points. Your most important quality at that height is your passion n drive.

I have been down this route of trying to get noticed by coaches, I pulled out for reasons best known to me n my mother.

The way a coach sees a game is 100% different from d way a fan sees the same game. 100%. Bracelum clearly knows a lot about basketball but d only tiny bit of problem is that he is a fan of d game, n fans don't recruit players.
