Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by onegentleguy: 5:02pm On Mar 29, 2019 |
DeRuggedProf: Welcome back my dear !! But unfortunately, the link failed to give the needed clarity on what is indeed the ACTUAL amount declared by the bank. While I agree that the 11k pay is now the likely of the 2, the content of the heading; "clarification on dividend information for 2018 financial year" is at best a misfit with information dessimination. Needles to say that the banks company Secretary needs to get some tutorial on proper and effective journalism. In summary, the write up simply told us that the 11k which was put out this morning is less than the 22k which was declared last night. ...without categorically pointing to which one of the 2 should indeed be expected. It's just like telling a student that X is less than Y after supplying him with valuations stipulating that X= 11 and Y= 22. I think it's only a blind student who needs to be told that !! Like I said before; It's not a good sign. ...given that it sends all the wrong coperate governance signals with it, whether it was indeed deliberate or not. Since the direct source for both values was from the bank, they will have to answer to some questions on this during the conference call on Monday. Even if nothing eventually changes, at least they'll be more careful next time. Regards. 1 Like |
