They were energetic in Ole’s First 5 games or so. You could see the incisive passing and runs into spaces to receive the ball during that period.

I think OGS managed them today. Most of them were half fit or a couple of tackles from an injury.

Since the night in Paris the play has been this way. I do hope they pick up the pace soon though. We play Wolves on Tuesday and I won’t be surprised to see a similar setup. I won’t mind though, as long as we win. There are still lots of matches to play.
I have written off this season already. We need at least two midfielders and two wingers by summer. Failure to get all four players will most likely spell doom for the club next season.

We need midfielders and attackers that are skillful and hungry for success

I agree. Not expecting much this season.

Hopefully OGS can bring in his targets early enough for next season. We really need good players. Mata, Herrera, Matic, Young shouldn’t be starting majority of our matches next season else na trouble.

The majority of the squad will fail Ole. If he isn't ruthless enough and brings in 6 players he wont last 2 years. These players will not compete for major honours in the next few years.

As if you were in my head!! Left to me, no new contract for Herrera and Mata. Offload Darmian, Valencia (out of contract), Sanchez and Bailly. Buy a solid CB, rugged CDM, midfield controller, Right Winger and a Right Back.

If De Gea does not extend his contract, sell him. If Pogba does not commit to a 5 years contract, sell him and get a replacement. No time for long thing.

elampiro was quick to come online to slate Shaw for failing to cover for his CBs against Wolves but he wont come to say anything today that Shaw had a man of the match performance.

Always disappearing when Shaw has a good game and re-appearing when he doesn't

He did his job today.

Lol. We need to relax. Yes these set of players are underperforming and should not be starting but that does not mean we should sell them. They are still good squad players who can make a difference coming off the bench and also deputise for the regular starting 11 in cup games. Besides we need a big squad if we are to play in 4 competitions next season.

Herrera can stay. Mata, Sanchez, Darmian, Rojo & Matic should gedifok out. I also wont shed a tear if we sell one of Jones or Bailly.

However, we need 6 to 8 new players. Whether we sell one of Bailly or Jones or not, we still need a Vidic-like CB. We also need a RB.
In Midfield, we need Matic Replacement and someone better & more consistent to keep Herrera on the bench.
In Attack, doesn't seem like Martial is going anywhere and we dont seem to be in the market for a CF but we sure as hell need a RW. How that position hasn't been a priority in the last 5+ years is mind boggling.

New signings, plus the squad players, and the yoot players should be fine for next season.

Abi na. As nice as it is to not concede, we are not competing for golden glove so CS na just added bonus. We should be looking to get the job done on the other end of the pitch

Of course because the season is almost done..

I fear that the 2 remaining UCL slots might come to goals difference...

I think you are missing the point to my earlier post... We have been way back in goals difference wen compared to our direct competitors e.g spurs and assnal so games likes this where we create little, not conceding would surely boost our GD thereby closing the gaps as it may come to play in this final stages..

The added bonus in not conceding is closing in on other people's goals difference.

It is all about the goal difference. Conceding cheap goals might prove costly esp in this top 4 race in which 4 teams are trying to squeeze into 2 positions.

There's this slim chance that goal difference might determine the top 4 tussle..
2 goals from our forwards today..

Also we are the only team with 4 forward players scoring 10+ league goals this season.. Yet our GD looks awkward..

CS no be added bonus but na big psychological boost.. If say we get better GD over Spuds we would be sitting 3rd right now -- which would have been a good look no matter how shortlived it'll be..

Our defensive output this season has been atrocious tbh.. But I won't pin it on the defenders and DDG alone..
There's a sort of laziness around the whole team.. They just seem to enjoy faffing around rather than be professionals..

The only thing I regret was not saying what I thought about Ole earlier. That guy is fucking smart and intelligent. He's the kind of guy you'd want to take with you to close business deals..Ole is a defensive coach just like mourinho that's the fact. We were all calling for the head of mourinho majorly for his style of play and Ole knew what to say to get praises from the United fans. Funny thing he talks attack attack all the time but we play a different thing on the pitch.
Some people would still disagree with me and mention the results we had in our first few matches under Ole but we forget Man Utd was playing attacking football also at the beginning of last season under mourinho up till we played Liverpool . Mourinho was really looking to try attacking football then but once you're for a particular style of play it's difficult to change it, same as Ole. Our midfield was awful today but it's also due to our approach to the match.. I saw the signs from the beginning of the match the way Rashford drew back when the ball got to the opposition at the very beginning of the match..
I still believe Ole might become a success if he's supported with funds at the summer. There are some special things about him I'm still trying to figure out like how he got the team to be so clinical although we play really defensively.. So I'm not condemning Ole but what I'm saying is if you are elated about Ole's appointment cuz you think we'll play an attacking brand of football, be ready to be dissapointed.

Fans...... LMAO!

First Game of Ole as a Permanent Manager, 3 Points in the bag, though the performance is bad - but kinda early prophesizing the Future of Ole.

Some are already Predicting he won't last long........ Fans?! What's the meaning of all these for God's sake?! Ole talked about Pre-Season, kinda Players he wants and style of play he's gonna come up with next Season in his first Presser as a Permanent Manager.

He's simply steadying the Ship that nearly capsized to reach the promised Land (Top 4) safely at the moment. Let's be patient with him, besides it's too early judging him based on this Season.

How does that match being his first match as a permanent manager affect anything. And you say it's too early to judge lol. Yesterday's match was our 14th EPL match. That's enough time to have your team playing your tactics. I've been saying this what's the difference in tactics that you've seen??

The thing is United fans love Ole. One would need to be a sadist to hate him. But ever since Ferguson's departure we've made 3 mistakes back to back in the appointment of a manager. The respect for United is gone. The gap between us and Manchester City is widening every season. Liverpool is also starting to maintain wide a gap in quality between us. We cannot afford to make another mistake in appointing a manager. We just can't.
We already appointed Ole as a permanent manager but there are still fears everywhere. I'm sure Woodward sef is not 100% in support of that appointment.

Easy?! Read again to fully understand my stance. OGS was an Interim Manager prior to the Match, hence he has nothing to lose if at the End of the Season, United could not make it to UCL.

Guess what?! He has everything to lose now..... Coz United is bigger than Europa League and to attract bigger Players you need to be a Regular in the Competition - UCL!

Finally, OGS didn't add to the present Squad, rather working with what he inherited from Mou. The Squad has Mou Stamp all over it, it's definitely gonna take time to erase the Stamp completely.

Players like Rojo, Darmian, Matic, Mata, even Young must leave. United must invest heavily in the Summer to get world class Players in the following Positions; RW, DM, and LB to deputise for Shaw.

Double standards in here mehn, no difference in tactics (Mou vs Ole), but we should not talk about it. The truth is, he got some energy from the players because the atmosphere was a bit better, now we are almost back to square 1 (boring pack the bus footie).

Small time, someone will say he is conserving the players' energy, for FA cup and Carling cup games coming up Abi?

Ole should please save us the motivational talks and get the team to play good football jare.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 6:51am On Mar 31, 2019
The team has been struggling for form lately, but it will be naive to judge Ole based on just that.

Until Ole has a transfer window to bring in some additional players of his own choosing and a full preseason with the players i am not going to judge him.

This is a team that was built by a defensive coach and that has played reactive football for several seasons now, so expecting Ole to change everything in 3 months is naive.

I swear I'll take a break from football last last.. They'll continue to make excuses for him and that's what is frustrating.. How difficult is it to change from a defensive play to attacking play after 14 games. We need new players yes but we shouldn't be making that excuse against Watford.. We were really lucky yesterday, we could have been really embarrassed at Old Trafford if those guys were more clinical.. How can you make an excuse for playing that kind of defensive game against Watford at Old Trafford..
