We both know we got so low during the final period of mourinho's regime because of the players were down and weren't really ready to play. We knew all what mourinho achieved before this particular season with these same players.

He's played a bit defensively for a long while like after the first 7 matches or so.. Just that we've been really deadly in attack when going forward and we've been winning comfortably....The only reason people are complaining now is because it's really obvious now and the scrappy play against Wolves and Watford. Most of you guys equate defensive game play to packing the bus but it's far from each other...
From what I've seen Ole has not really trained the team on maintaining continuous pressure during a game. But I've seen our transition play improve far more better than it was before. It's been almost perfect before that arsenal game. Which means he's been hammering more on our transition play which means he's building the team to play crazy counter attacking football.
Those first few games we played that we played mad attacking football there was no way Ole could have imprinted his tactics on the team. It was too early.. He said it himself, he told them to go enjoy themselves. So I feel his tactics are just starting to come into play. I hope I'm wrong.

Top 4 battle will be tough and close, and it fit go anyhow but we are still in it.

1) Arsenal have the easiest fixtures on paper, but 5 are away and their away form is poor.

2) Spurs on paper have an ok fixture list especially with 5 games at home, but their current form is quite poor with 4 losses in the last 5 games.

3) United have the toughest fixtures, but it is still doable. 3 points is a must against Chelsea, otherwise we likely miss out.

4) Chelsea's fixture list is next toughest to ours and they have the least points currently but if they can avoid defeat to Liverpool and beat us they stand a chance.

Any 2 of these teams can make the top 4 and any 2 can miss out.

After the first 7 games or so was when we had that crazy run - Tottenham, Arsenal, PSG, Liverpool and Chelsea.

You can’t blame him for playing counter attacking football in those games to grind out results.

After then we lost key players to injury and lack of fitness- the result is what we’ve seen in recent games.

I’m not happy with the performances either, but I think it’s premature to term OGS defensive, what with the condition of the squad.

This match just got a whole lot more difficult.

Three midfielders that were big up from the championship last season were Madison, Neves and Grealish, two have had no problems in their acclimatization into the EPL, which means Grealish who was actually the biggest talent of them all wouldn't look out of place in our team. Grealish continues to be the best midfielder in the championship even as we speak now.

If Pogba wants to leave for Madrid, good riddance to him. Would sell him for £200mil and use it to fund Rodri Hernandez, Grealish and Maddison. Get in Zagodou and Sancho too and we can say bye garri to this summer transfer window. Get in quality English players who won't leave us when they reach their prime.

Deadwoods such as Matic, Mata, Herrera, Young, Jones, Sanchez should be let go as quick as possible.

You say what? What exactly is their job that can't be replaced? Average players that shouldn't even be in our squad in the first place. Didn't Chelsea flog Matic off their team. How we became a second fiddle club for useless players is something I can't comprehend today?

Rodrigo Hernandez is three times the midfielder Matic is, considering he's a quality defensive holding midfielder. The only problem is Atletico may not want to sell. If Atletico won't sell, then I would love us to go for Van De beek who's more of a playmaking holding midfielder but that means we would require a box-box defensive midfielder such as Ndidi or Lemina alongside him. One of Maddison and Grealish would have to be left out if Van De Beek was to be brought in, especially if Pogba eventually left for Madrid.

Personally, I would love a 3-man midfied of:

Maddison - Rodrigo - Grealish

OR

Van De Beek;
Lemina/Ndidi - Grealish.
