Good evening house,

to beging with, i want to appreciate the effort that everyone is putting to ensure that peoples dream becomes a reality.

i was once a semi full member in this forum, but when things became a lil difficult, i had to go back to the drawing board.

was gonna Be the primary applicant but, age and increase in crs resulted in spouse been the primary applicant. Fast forward last week she cleared ielts with clb 9.

pls i would need the help of the Elders, the proffs and anyone who has any info on the few questions that i might need help with.

My question is this. will i need to get my Original degree certificate post ITA, or can i use statement of result since am not the PA. getting original certifcate from school will set me back by 50k and am trying to avoid such expenses unless its very important to include the original.

thanks in advance
No need, your statement of result is fine

Please house help my cousin:

ECA - April 2 BSc
IELTS - LRWS - 7.5/7.0/7.5/7.5
CRS - 357
AGE - 34
RELATIVE IN CAN- Yes(Not Manitoba)

Please he is confused. What is your suggestion and which PNP is best NOC is IT.

Cc Ifeo.ma77
And others

First of all, he needs to rewrite IELTS and get 8 in listening, that will shoot up his CRS to above 400.
Then he needs something else to support that BSc. BSc alone won't give enough points to get ITA. Since he is an IT person, he should consider doing the BCS certificate in IT and then evaluate it with WES to get 2 or more certificates.
Doing these two things is enough for him to get high enough scores for ITA.
Is he married? Another option is to check if the spouse can be the PA.
PS. Hope the relative is a sibling not Aunt/uncle.

However, if he insists on following the PNP road, he can choose pretty much any province but he should consider going for OINP, jobsin IT are plentier in Ontario

Good morning All, Please has anyone experienced one certificate been evaluated as against the two requested for, because the other certificate hasn't been received. I Am using WES for my evaluation, my MSC is yet to be sent by my institution and WES went along with the final evaluation using the BSC. Please what can I do, though I have sent them a mail.

I'm a newbie but I know you tongue Read all your chats and "ijogbon" in previous parts. You stood out with your monika and PM sign off grin

Congrats on your PPR. It was indeed a long journey for you. Great that you persevered and can now testify. I am very happy and priviledged to mark your script grin

Thank you for your elaborate script. It really deserves a 9. But why did you abandon us when we needed you the most? cry You just went incommunicado and we missed you sad For that, you lose, 1.2 marks.

But since you have returned to give back and giving us newbies advice, your score has been upgraded to 8.4. May you succeed in Canada and satisfy your desires. Congrats again.

I meant that, it's not difficult to fulfill the WAEC requirements. The process is very straightforward and actually quite easy

Yeah, the additional cost is something tho, ehmm...the process is still having to get a verified result from WAEC yaba, attaching a scratch card and sending by courier to wes right? or has anything changed?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by ladymarshall: 8:20am On Apr 03, 2019
Thank you for this. Personally, I keep my mind open for 8 months post submission. If it is less, glory be to God, if it is more, oh well. But it must sha come las las as long as all documents are complete. If you are fortunate to be engaged in other activities you enjoy during the waiting period, fantastic, enjoy it. If not, learn something new (a side skill, another trade, read a new book etc) or spend more relaxed time with family, your boo, and just enjoy life, party hard, eat all our native food, Breathe!!! Because post-PPR until settling, the stress, anxiety ehn and for first-time immigrants, the psychological, cultural shock, chai grin

Also dear parents, while you are psychologically preparing for your new life, prepare your kids too especially those above 5, read up the additional parenting skills you will need. It will be tough (or easier perhaps) for them to adjust as it is for you.

All the best to us as we keep waiting to tranverse the "road" to the Wild Wild West grin

On processing timelines - Part I

It has become increasingly clear since last year that IRCC is becoming overwhelmed by the number of express entry applications to be processed. I remember a discussion on earlier thread with @Tojued and others. In the face of overwhelming anecdotal evidence, I took the position that since IRCC maintains the 6 months processing timeline on its website it must still be true. I posited that applications are still being processed on time, maybe we are just not hearing about it. With my own 6-months timeline in sight, I've done further research and I'm re-evaluating my position.

If you check the current processing timeline (here), it states 6 months for Express Entry (EE). However, looking at the fine print reveals a different picture.

Below the "6 months" caption, on the lower textbox, it states: "We are committed to processing most complete applications within the above time."

Under the Question (here): "Why do some application processing times change and others do not?", see this response:
"The number of applications we receive for each program can affect processing times................Some posted processing times are a service commitment. Since the commitment applies, these times will not change.". Meaning the notice is a target and not an actual reality.

Does it mean that the service standard has not been met before? No. The most recent data online are from April 1, 2017 - March 31, 2018 (here):

"Federal Skilled Worker Program (via Express Entry)
Our service standard: process electronic applications within 6 months
Our target: meet the standard for at least 80% of submitted applications (within the approved annual immigration levels plan)
Our performance in 2017-2018: processed 93% of applications within the standard
We introduced

To be continued....

A wait that is really worrisome. After sending mail to CPD, prof and raised a CSE, I wonder why this is taking them this long o. Called again yesterday and was only assured it will be sent soon. CSE reply also came back advising we chill and check back if we didn't see anything till Apr. 28th(can u imagine shocked). Judging from the silent experience of Prof Raph and Boss Ifeoma, it's now i truly believe the wait is CONTAGIOUS grin

Hallooo my people. Now i think my APPLICATION is having this same issue with Vivi o!

Wifey called IRCC agent this afternoon, the lady told us that our file has been approved since March 7th and PPR mail already sent.

But we didn't get any mail(not even in my spam & the likes). The lady had to put us on hold for like 3 mins again to confirm very well, she came back affirming her earlier information to us and even requested for my mail id again for confirmation.

Las Las, she said she will contact the officer in charge to send us another PPR mail. Na Prayer we dey since o grin while we have tried to send some mails as advised here earlier. Thanks famz

Haha @ bolded. Don't you believe in miracles grin tongue

beloved80:
Going by the trend of rounds of ITA slots, I predict that there will be three rounds this month. In the last quarter, the ITAs given were larger t by about a round size (3900 usually) when compared to q1 2018. The third draw in January contributed to this, making sure few high scoring candidates entered as new and allowing long waiters to get in. Also, the long 21 day break from the regular draw days in February ensured that many new and higher scoring candidates could populate the draw, so it wont't stay as low as 438. Hence the increase in CRS points till date. With their set target in mind and the likelihood of same rounds of invitation like the first quarter, this month of April will possibly witness 3 rounds. With that comes lower CRS points even from tomorrow.

Don't exercise fears about the increasing intending applicants. Canada is willing to take more people. There will also be friction getting into the pull. Especially getting an ECA. The more people are seeking ECA, the more time it provides for people in the pool to get ITA. Even the almighty WES is now overwhelmed. IRCC is not likely to add more organization to provide ECA services.

SO keep your fingers, pray for your ITA to come and dont take me too seriously.....

We must all reach Canada las las (that's if you are not coming here to ask whats ECA tongue and stop spamming the pool when you know you dont have POF shocked).
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by ladymarshall: 8:30am On Apr 03, 2019
If the SoR was what you used for ECA, you can use it post-ITA. People have gotten PPR using SoR

Can IRCC find out this information anywhere else in relation to you? If they google your name, will this membership come out? Is your membership on your social media accounts? Have you stated this information on Linkedin, in your cv while applying to any of the English "5" for visa? If yes, then raise a CSE and explain.

If not, no need to worry.

Thanks boss, I just want to avoid WAEC and verification involve with WES. Also my HND is in Lagos while my ND is in Enugu state and I live here in Lagos.

Ok. Also note that ICES's TIMELINE is now 12-14 weeks, while i gathered WES's now 7 weeks from 20 working days
You'll pay only $200 for all credentials to be evaluated with WES, while you $200 for each credential with ICES
ICES also said the evaluation of credentials from Africa might take longer as they may need to verify due to the high rate of credential "forgery" or so
