thanks bro,i didnt, noun is useless,i did not know i wud still have to do another exam registration; is it online too or at the study center? is it the same as the exam clearance?

Noun is not useless. Why blame the school for your own negligence or lack if due diligence? All these nonsenses and insults on the school should stop and be frowned at. Stop giving the school a bad name!

Seriously!i don't really blame the guy esp if he's a new student, the way noun academics is being run is different from other universities.
I almost missed the exams/course registration cos I didn't know you have to logically pay for them separately if not I checked online and its not like that in other universities, when you see your course mates at lectures to interact with and ask questions.
You have to ask people and the people here is not every time they respond to questions most of the student in noun are working class and busy and that's what the school is made for so you can learn while you work, they should always try to carry the student along.

I understand you brother. I also believe in development and there are stages to it. I am not a defender of noun. But I know the school is growing and trying out many things right now. Over the last 3years there's been serious changes, all geared towards improving the system. Don't forget that it is the first if its kind in Nigeria.

My point exactly is that we should cease from calling the school names esp online just to express every disappointment. No school can achieve the status of prestigious if the its students keep publishing its challenges. The OAUs, UIs, UNNs, of this world , which have existed long before even the conceiver of the idea of noun was born, have their challenges but you don't see or hear people coming online to say this things. You only see and hear about the positives. Believe me sir there are many positives with noun but you hardly see it published.

I am a graduate of Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a Fed. University in this country. Despite all the challenges we faced while in school, we still go about branding our names with our call-sign. I tell you my brother what I have faced in noun is not up to half my travails while in school. Although things are far better now with better infrastructures and facilities but it didn't happen one day.

In essence, kindly note that the prestige of the school lies in your hand. What you push out there is the way this school will be perceived. How you present your school is the way your certificate will be viewed. How you make people see your school is the way employers will see you. It is simply called "BRANDING".

As for me I am a #GREATMAKURDIAN and a proud #NOUNITE.

There are whatsapp groups. There's a study centre and faculty to get answers from. There's ICT at every study centre for ICT related issues. There are little business centres at every Study centre guiding people on what to do next and how to go about it. There are groups on nairaland discussing noun related issues and developments and providing real time information as they unfold with the likes of MishaCares, Mac Anthony, etc. There are groups on telegram, etc. If only you had even gone through the nairaland comments of like a month back...

My brother if did not use any if this options and you are still looking for someone to blame, I suggest you try looking in the mirror.

Dear children of Nobodies, don't be deceived by your certificate thinking you will have a flashy Job. Nigeria is equitable not equally for all of us. NNPC, NCC, NPA, CBN, FIRS and 82 other juicy places are not for you and me; except if your name is "Lucky or Destined". “We" and "Them" only have few things in common, such as identity cards, Voters Card, BVN and National Anthem, but even our schools, hospitals, all services and everything is entirely different.

Kindly accept any work and appreciate it with all your heart to serve your father's land with all strength or better still kindly start any business today, because no one knows tomorrow. Instead of a contemplative dreaming to be in a flashy office, why not you start selling Firewood, Kuli Kuli, shoe polish, wheel barrow, cutting nails and other simple works. It all depend on your instinct, style and capability to grow or transform the business. Don’t be like other lazy youth who are physically and psychologically lazy.

Bill Gates, Dangote, Mark Zuckerberg and others couldn't have make it, if they waited for the Government or private employers. They believed in themselves, took the risk, the starting steps and today they are shaking the world.

Thanks a great deal for addressing this. People tend to propagate a one sided story of their bad individual experience, thereby tarnishing the image of this university. I did a first degree at a renowned federal university and sincerely can't compare the experience to how smooth my NOUN experience was.
There is room for improvement as the school is young and is trying to standardize, but this advancement can only be initiated by constructive feedback and not demeaning slander.

Rather "punch" a fellow student for voicing his reservations..Please look at TMAs for EDU724:GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING...especially TMA 3; questions are wrong answers are wrong. Who do you complain to... NOUN needs help and urgently too if we must be honest

There is no TMA for the course, only what you going to do is write a business plan on any business you know and you we have to present it either online or through your study center. you can visit the counselor in your study center for better explanation.
