Hello,

If you have completed your ACCA exams (including professional level), you will get the desired WES assessment of "a Canadian 4-year equivalent" degree. This you will get irrespective of whether you claimed exemptions using ICAN or not.

I personally claimed exemptions using ICAN for f1 to f4, and did only the professional level. My ACCA transcript was assessed as equivalent to "a Canadian 4-year Bachelor's degree".

So fear not.

CC: Realone2012

You got exemptions from f1 - f4 or f1-f9?

You see what I am saying grin cheesy

Will correct appropriately cheesy

johnnybravo1990:

Punctuation is not so good here. Remove the comma after ‘loopholes’. Use a fullstop, or a semicolon, and let the rest of the sentence stand like an independent clause. Also, ‘although’ and ‘but’ are doing the same function; you can’t use both. Use only one of them. Finally, put a comma after ‘again’, and then, you have a grammatically correct sentence.

*Edited* Also, you can’t say, ‘I am better than I was’. Instead, say, ‘I am better than how I was’.

You are doing well.

Good evening fellow Countrymen, brothers and Sisters.

Please, i need help deciding which NOC fits best for my job description.

Although , employment letter reads News Editor 2 and promotion letter is News Editor

job description basically remained the same after promotion from Editor 2 to Editor.

should i choose NOC 5123---Journalists or ,
should i choose NOC 5122--- Editors

Job Description ;

• Daily responsibilities include receiving assignments for stories, evaluating leads and pitching compelling story ideas to editors, revising and editing work for editorial approval, and collaborating with other reporters, editors, and production staff
• Gather information for newsworthy stories through observation, interviews, investigation, and research
• Build a network of sources for interviews and develop relationships within the community
• Travel to various locations to find current, relevant details about newsworthy events in real-time and after the fact

• Assist in Preparing work schedule and deadlines and encourage team members to meet targets to facilitate timely publication.
• Coordinate with colleagues in the newsroom and other departments to define priorities for same.
• Evaluate all new for authenticity and check with sources to ensure correctness of published article to avoid conflicts.

personal view; JD matches 5123 Journalist, even though my employment/job tittle is news editor (pls, i need opinions on this)

lastly,
when getting reference letter , how do i combine the two different tittles ( employment letter/tittle (News Editor2) and
promotion letter/tittle (News Editor)
which both basically have the same Job Descriptions.

Thank you all for your help.

someone kindly help out.

Wow!

This was indeed hope mixed with a large teaspoonful of Patience.

Thank God it has finally ended in praise. Thank you for sharing your PPR script with us.

I can imagine the relief you currently have considering all the stress that came with the process.

I would have rated your script 8/10 for a job well done. However, due to delayed submission of your PPR script, i will be deducting 1 mark.

SO your final score is 7/10 grin grin grin

Go to your new land and prosper.

Welcome to the Hall of Fame Part 7

Hi. I see you're yet to get a reply on this. So I just checked NOC 5122/5123 and indeed, your JD seems to fit more in 5123 (Journalists). Here, job titles don't mean much. The most important is to ensure that your job duties outlined in your reference letter correlate at a substantial degree with your preferred NOC.

Your JD shows investigative reporting, research, interpreting and communicating news via online/radio, media etc which I can see are all found in the lead statement and main duties of NOC 5123. Most of your duties are listed in that NOC so you're absolutely fine.

Since they both have the same JDs, you can write the job title as "News Editor" and list all the duties without repetition.

AzariahYaa:
Finally, ICES came through!! grin grin

Registered 7th January,2019

Transcript was sent from my School to them on 14th January, 2019 and was received same day

Evaluation was completed 1st April,2019.

I received an email from them on 3rd April,2019(this was after I had bombarded them with emails asking for updates on the evaluation of my transcript).

Got an email from UPS that it would be delivered today, 8th April,2019 and Yes!!it did...Hallelujah!! Another hurdle crossed!

In all, it took approximately 11weeks for ICES to evaluate my transcript.

Meanwhile, my hubby registered same day he did mine, and his evaluation was completed and sent back to Naija within 3weeks! We believe it is because his transcript was from a UK University.

Now we are sitting gallantly in the pool with CRS 453... May the next draw favour us all!
