forgiveness: If he is not up to the mark then sorry we cannot feature him. No automatic shirt for any Nigerian player whether home born or foreign born. |

Icon4s: I heard he didn't train with the team from the onset. If true, this is enough to believe there was a premeditated plan to drop him even before kicking a ball. Perhaps, he trained with the team and he saw he is better than some players taken ahead of him due to the Nigerian factor he witnessed with his two eyes in the camp. If he's not good enough, I don't think America will want him in their team. |

Earthquake2: Your statement was misleading that is the reason you should be corrected. It's as simple as that. |

DrLikita12: Kelechi Nwakali did not make it in Iheanacho's U17 set. In the next one, he not only made it but came out the best player of the tournament. Our hearts go out to him for his distraught but he needs to work hard to prove that he has what it takes to become a big part of our football. 2 Likes 1 Share |

forgiveness: So you think the American U17 is stronger than ours. Lateef will surely make the cut in the American team because it is a weaker side. 1 Like 1 Share |

forgiveness: Nope, he trained with the team before they went for their Turkish tour and was invited to join training camp after. I heard from reliable sources that Lateef was not performing well in training, well before the final list was released. 2 Likes |

Earthquake2: Do not say that. That is a kid with a burning and passionate desire to play for us. He has worked hard and showed his dedication to us. It is heartbreaking to lose a place in the team. He needs consolation, not ridicule. 1 Like |

forgiveness: What is your own definition of "onset"? Do you know when Manu started preparing his team? Lateef was never part of the Eaglets. He was part of the U15 and even took part in that tournament late last year. If i am not mistaking he was drafted into the team after we booked the CAF U17 ticket. You are now talking as if he was purposely kept out of training. He was simply not up to par. After all Adrian Akande joined the team a couple of weeks ago and he is in. Lateef should take this as a learning curve and continue his development. If he is good enough for the next U17 team he will be considered. 1 Like |

Danielnino00: This nonchalant attitude of, I don't care will not lead us to anywhere. We will be keep being brain drained if we don't try hard to do everything in our capacity to retain and attract our best brains home and abroad. Even if he doesn't make the cut there is a way you can still pass the message to make him realise he is still needed and you care. All these soldier go soldier come barrack remain has not done us any good until now. You are only breading mediocres. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: We heard the same thing. The English U -20 team is weaker side but they won the trophy. The English U-17 team is weaker but they won the world cup trophy. The English national is weaker side but went ahead of Nigeria's 'stronger' team to finish fourth place. Nigerians are just too arrogant but empty. I am sorry to say this. 2 Likes |

tbaba1234: Exactly my point. If they really wanted to see his ability and take him to the competition, they should have taken him on tour to Turkey but they just used him as training material when they never had plan for him. I don't think it was about performance. |

Look at this team some people here mocked me for because of my judgement about their pedigree then when Peter Olayinka joined but here we are today seeing a team dominate Chelsea and even kicked current Europa champion out of the tournament. Is Bordeaux better than this Slavia Prague team from Czech? |

oga, olayinka's move to slavia prague is a no no to me. its normal to have surprises in european club competitions so even if slavia knocks out chelsea from the europa league it doesn't turn them to one of the finest in europe forgiveness: |
