Nalizzzy If she removes the fixed deposit account, how much would she be submitting in her Statement of Account (SOA)? If it's just the 50K, I'll advise she waits till the fixed deposit matures to apply or look for someone else with much better SOA to sponsor her.

Sorry your application has taken so long. You should read a couple pages back, some members whose applications have taken similar length have been able to speed it up. Granted your application is different, their knowledge might work for you.

You asked if someone can apply for college with a 2:1 and the answer to that question is Yes.

Then the follow up was if that would guarantee a visa application success, and I said ‘with visa applications there is nothing guaranteed’.

You can do everything right and still get rejected. We’ve seen it here countless times, all we can do is put out our best and hope it all works in our favour.

Is your wife in Russia with you?

The area you’d need to tackle is home ties, if your family is in Russia as well then that might pose a challenge.

Another option is to come back to Nigeria and apply from here, if you can. The odds would be higher that way.

Good luck.

Good evening everyone and thanks for keeping it real. Its so encouraging to read through genuine Nigerians' willingness to assistance.

This is my case.. I'm an Msc graduate from a Russian University. I reside presently in Russia.

I'll like to know my chances for student visa approval as I finished my Msc in 2017, but I'll like to go study Msc also in Canada (I got my Bsc in 2015 same from Russia),my wife finished her Bsc in Nigeria (2009).

My issue now is that, what are my chances of visa approval based on my study gap and that of my wife's.

Are my ties to Nigeria sufficient enough as I'm gonna be the major sponsor, I've got a registered business since 2017, I've got sufficient fund for living expenses. Statement of account is good for my wife and myself.

I understand my statement of purpose has to be on point. But I'll really appreciate from the experts what my chances are and what loop holes need to be tied.

Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

How do I order for gcms notes please.. I searched the Google, it's saying i have to have someone In Canada to order it for .me..
And how much is it please..

If you have anyone in Canada who’s a PR / Citizen, that person can make an ATIP request on your behalf in order to access your immigration records.
This is essentially what you do to get the GCMS note. The cost is $5 CAD.

The application itself is done on an online portal. Thereafter you fill and attach the consent form (This essentially allows IRCC to release the information to the person applying on your behalf). This is the last thing you would do before submitting the application.

I would be able to offer you more application specific help regarding completing the ATIP request if you go this route.

However, you can also use other sites on the internet if you don’t have anyone in Canada. Unfortunately, I haven’t used them so I can’t provide good advice regarding the process. Other members familiar with them would be of better help.

Okay you have enough time while waiting for your GCMS note to read through this thread to discover other documents that can support your application.
You can also PM me your SOP so I can review it, I will also advise you to PM other people you discover while reading through the thread who have offered similar SOP review help.

Hope this helps

It’s a 1 and half year course I’ll be going for, and school fees is 9100 can dollars, about 2.5m with the 10000 living expenses that’s like 2.7m... about 10m is in the RSA account, and he is still currently working, with salary of like 500k..if I wanna get a co-sponsor how much should he have in his account....
Thank you..

Hi, there isn't a specific amount that needs to be in your father, or co-sponsors account because the wat VOs analyse your financial buoyancy differs. For example your sponsors DEPENDENCY level matters. Perhaps your dad owns a decent retirement savings and also a high salary in this current economy but what if he had 2,3-5 kids under him. Do you think a VO will buy the idea of him sponsoring you?. Getting a co-sponsor is a good move perhaps a relative or seeking study loans at the extreme.

Your Financial portfolio should look like this:
1 fathers retirement savings- 10mill.

2. Current account balance with good inflow and balance

3. 1st semester tuition fees or one year tuition if you have the means***

4. Co-sponsor savings account- ,10mill upwards and you could pay your tuition through your co-sponsors account and have him/her specify this in a separate letter of sponsor and a receipt to prove that. If your co-* also has an history of sponsoring you then provide evidence

5. Sponsors family tree. A VO needs to understand his dependency levels.

6. Property documents and investments of your father

7. Fathers employment letter.

I must restate that finace is just one of the many things to cover. Good luck in your trv application.

In replied to my mail msg. Read what they said below. That is 2nd time of replying to my msg

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please refer to the following website relating to the service standard for Temporary Resident Visa applications received outside Canada: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/service-declaration/service-standards/new-visitor-visa-outside-canada.html

As indicated on our website, the processing times provided are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all applications during that time period and are subject to change. As these processing times refer to 80 percent of applications, some applications will fall outside of these timeframes. In addition, as they are an average, there will be some fluctuations in processing times at peak periods during the course of the year.

That being said, please be assured that your application has been received and is currently in process. As soon as processing has been completed, or if additional information is required, you will be notified via your online account.

Kind Regards,

Guy,

If you or your wife have prior work experience, please go through express entry and get your PR straight from here. That is what I did anyway and my COPR is already in the bag.

Meanwhile search through Nairaland for the thread and learn more.

Hello, dont let agents feed on your naivety and eagerness. The whole process can be tedious yet simple. If you need a list of schools to apply try using GOOGLE to research for schools. That's the least you can do for yourself. After that if you need anything then you can come back and ask on this platform. Lastly, some agents look for people that they can twist and exploit. So be careful if you do your home work well and the help of this platform then you don't need any agent. All the best.
