For your type of contract, you qualify.

The contract staff is mainly an issue with CEC applicants where there is your type of contract (which is eligible for EE) and the "independent contractor" contract (ineligibile). The latter is not common in Naija.

Read more here https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/urgent-help-cec-experience-contract-job.603925/

Since you were on the direct payroll of your company, you are good to go.

dorothy0324:
Hello all! I just got my reference letter and it entailed the following details; I was a contract staff seconded to xyz company. I worked 40hours a week, my annual salary, department, end of employment, duties and responsibilities. I’m particularly concerned about the “contract staff” they mentioned. Please has anyone successfully applied with a contract staff reference letter?? cry cry There wasn’t any difference between myself and a permanent staff in terms of work but then I can’t explain that to IRCC.

It's just my flesh that is not there yet. Everyone who landed Toronto airport must have seen me at the lounge waiting. I think I said hi to some sef.

Ild be 36yrs in May, have only BSc in Civil Engineering but work experience of 2.5yrs in IT. Been a baker for some years and been doing my own business.

My husband will be 37 yrs this April, BSc in Petroleum Engineering and about 10yrs work experience in same industry.

You can if you really want to.

Start by knowing your current score using the CRS tool if either of you max IELTS (8.5,8,7.5,7.5). Then decide who should be the Principal Applicant (the person with the higher score). To boost your points, consider sitting for the French Exam (TEF), get more degree/Diploma (e.g. PgD- NOUN, MSc, IT Diploma- BCS, CIMA, ACCA, etc.). Alternative is that you go the PNP route - please be ready to do some research in this journey. All the best!

indeed the Golden mail has landed. This Canada waka started in 2017 when hubby wrote ielts in December shortly before I had my first son. I wrote mine in March L7R8W6S7.5. Crs 380. Come October 13th I smashed L8R7.5S7.5W7 . We couldn’t ask for refund because the result came out a day before the next exam. I went in for the oct27 and I waved goodbye to ielts in style L8.5R8.5W7S7.5 . With a good ielts score+below 30+masters+3yrs work experience, crs 474. We dived into the pool in Nov and here is the timeline.
Ita Nov 15.
Aor Dec 20.
Biometrics Jan 30.
March 12, I Put to bed.
March 14 I raised cse for newborn. It wasn’t up to 24hrs, I got double ADR. They requested more info of the company I referenced, my pay slips( I had 7 days to submit this)The second adr was for my baby. I submitted the first adr. Tackled the second within 2weeks( baby’s passport, medical and payment and updated Pof) I submitted these documents on 31st March and my ppr landed on 4th April. Whoops!!!! This journey was indeed an emotional roller coaster but God came through for us. Our VO is Ottawa.

Hello guys

Pls how long does Waec processing takes?
its been 2weeks already and my result hasnt been sent

It takes two weeks for waec to process. Sometimes more.
Another three to four days to be sorted at courier.
Courier takes five to six days to get to wes.

If you have a contact. He or she can help you monitor the movement and whether its been worked on.

The voluminous daily applications hasn't made it any easier.

That was why I suggested anyone using wes to hurry up before WAEC exam starts. The waiting times then could be frustrating.

Ok. Thanks for the information. We have checked our best possible score with and current academic qualifications and highest band in ielts...it's 408.
If any of us commences an MSc program now by the time we finish, scores will reduce because age would have increased.
