Pope Francis who addressed celebrities who visited him, stated that anyone who discards Gay people doesn’t have a human heart. The Catholic leader whose speech moved British comedian Stephen K. Amos to tears, also urged him and other visiting celebrities to pray for him so he can do his job better.

In today's episode of the BBC2 series Pilgrimage: The Road To Rome, Pope Francis who met with celebrities said that giving more importance to the adjective [gay] rather than the noun [man] is not good, and anyone who discards gay people doesn't have a human heart. 

Stephen told the Pope: “I lost my mother, three months ago I buried my twin sister, who were both very religious. So me coming on this pilgrimage, being non-religious, I was looking for answers and faith. But as a gay man, I don’t feel accepted.”

Francis replied carefully: “Giving more importance to the adjective [gay] rather than the noun [man], this is not good. We are all human beings and have dignity. It does not matter who you are, or how you live your life – you do not lose your dignity.There are people that prefer to select or discard people because of the adjective. These people don’t have a human heart. For those of you who are believers, pray for me. For those of you who do not believe, could you wish me a good journey, so I do not let anyone down.”

Hating gay people or wishing them harm is not going to improve your life. How is it Christian to be so judgemental towards people? Kindly explain that one to me? Where is the compassion that you preach?

I am not a Roman Catholic but I think the answer the Pope gave would have been similar to what Jesus Christ would have said. When the woman caught in adultery was brought to him to Judge,he said him without sin should throw the first stone. Nigerian politicians do more harm to the people than these gay people yet we sing praises of politicians. I know a gay guy who in terms of being good to people is better than the so called straight. His only fault is just his sexual orientation. He helped me got a job then without asking for anything in return. And I had to question myself of my condemation of him after that .A gay man will tell you that is how he was created and that there is no attraction to females.I now chose to allow God be the judge ,not me.

The Bible condemns homosexuality as well as all forms of fornication and immorality.

However, nowhere in the Christian Greek Scriptures does the Bible encourage us to engage in any acts of homophobia towards gay people.

Rather, Jesus urged his followers to apply the golden rule when dealing with others (Matthew 7:12).

Selectively picking on vulnerable gays is simply bullying and height of hypocrisy. Why not pick on your womanising friends?

Why not tell them the truth that the act is abominable in the sight of God according to the bible

Hmn! If God hates homosexuality, who am I to approve of it. .Gay people are disobedient people who refuse to change their ways. Rather than approve of this practice the pope should have condemn the act in its entirety. Maybe he reads a different bible .

Some souls can be saved but those who practice sodomy can never be saved. I hope this pope is not an Antichrist. The other day he defended Muslims and now gays.

Don't look to the pope or Pastor or anyone for the growth of your faith.
Rather, look to Jesus Christ who's the author and perfecter of our faith .
