The truth is that enugu is failed state, no business lasts there, genesis came and shut down almost immediately, this one will record low patronage and close just like Presidential hotel and Nike lake hotels have all closed shop because enugu state is state filled with poor class and worthless people. Enugu is generally unfriendly due to harsh climate like northern states, also insecurity, cultism, general unfriendly harsh economy due to high level of poverty. enugu state is cursed. Rgade: 1 Like

Enugu state is a useless, worthless, hopeless and good for nothing state. The state does not offer anything to even their own people. The state is classless with nothing to its name except that it is hosting the largest population of the poorest illiterates from Enugu state. Enugu is not known for industry, it is not known for commerce, it is not known for education, it is not known for oil and gas, it is just a useless state as far as Igbo land is concerned. Everytime WAEC, JAMB, NECO or any external academic exercise is done, Enugu state is always last, always struggling with northerners in education. Enugu state is cursed. 1 Like

Please what is the cursed Enugu state known for abeg, absolutely nothing. The state should be sold out to herdsmen for cattle ranch because it is useless and backward. Digitron: Good news. However, I thought that Bishp Shanaham hospital is a state owned hospital and it would've been cheaper if the hospital is upgraded. Except if there's no space for expansion. Please we need more pictures of infrastructural development in the state or is Gburugburu on break |
Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Digitron: 9:22am On Apr 22, 2019 |
signz: Bishop Shanahan Hospital is owned by the Catholic diocese of Nsukka. There is no government owned secondary or tertiary health care facility anywhere in Nsukka zone. As for Gburugburu, there hasn't been much proberbly due to the election, we expect him more from him now that the elections are over |

MXrap: Always have this at the back of your mind.... The name of the state derives from its capital city, Enugu. The word "Enugu" (from Enu Ugwu) means "the top of the hill". The first European settlers arrived in the area in 1909, led by a British mining engineer named Albert Kitson. In his quest for silver, he discovered coal in the Udi Ridge. The Colonial Governor of Nigeria Frederick Lugard took a keen interest in the discovery, and by 1914 the first shipment of coal was made to Britain. As mining activities increased in the area, a permanent cosmopolitan settlement emerged, supported by a railway system. Enugu acquired township status in 1917 and became strategic to British interests. Foreign businesses began to move into Enugu, the most notable of which were John Holt, Kingsway Stores, the British Bank of West Africa and the United Africa Company. From Enugu the British administration was able to spread its influence over the Southern Province of Nigeria. The colonial past of Enugu is today evidenced by the Georgian building types and meandering narrow roads within the residential area originally reserved for the whites, an area which is today called the Government Reserved Area (GRA). From being the capital of the Southern Provinces, Enugu became the capital of the Eastern Region (now divided into nine States), the capital of now defunct Federal Republic of Biafra, thereafter, the capital of East Central State, Anambra State, (old) Enugu State, and now the capital of the present Enugu State through a process of state creation and diffusion of administrative authority. Wiki ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Try and respect these people. Nobody has run down your state like you are doing. You are first class Igbo, but the early white colonialist didn't find you so...Please! 2 Likes 1 Share |

MXrap: MXrap...you need to be loved badly. How else can you be helped? You have killed Pan-igbo thread, slow down Enugu thread, tried to kill Imo thread...you step on Abians, call Ebony people okada riders, just to feel good. How else would one describe extreme low self-esteem? Americans don't need to run Nigeria down to show they are better? Shame! Why not do this in your own Anambra thread? You go to Enugu and Ebony states. Take a local bike call, Okada, to their remotest villages to take pictures. What if you were crushed to death on your way to to take pictures? Just to feel good on Nairaland? Try and change your ways. GHM!! 3 Likes 1 Share |
