Hello I have some info I thot is worth sharing, the electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at MIT , does not require GRE for admission ...might be useful for someone who did computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering like me ...Cheers!!! Modified Please also note that applications for this year fall has passed....its for fall 2020 upward...there is also no spring application accepted...thanks 1 Like 1 Share |

Kendrix69: Focus more on the GRE now. Focus more on getting a stellar score. You can make a decision on your school a few weeks to your exam. If you spend a ton of time researching on schools now, it might distract you from getting a stellar score. From my discussion with a lot of candidates, too much of time spent on school search limits their study time which affects their scores. This is assuming that getting a stellar score is a priority for you. |

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by tactmayor: 6:53pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
Kendrix69: Just have/search 2 or 3 schools each in these three ranks- Top ranked, Average ranked and Low ranked. Write the school codes in a paper which you would be allowed to take into the exam hall. Then the score outcome of your GRE will enable you trim the 9 schools you have listed into four schools that you will report your score to. |

You don't need to find the school you are going on Nairaland! In fact, I think that should be a good reason to go for such school. Any school that carry "State" is a good school; at least, not a private school some students here would tag as red flag. Ranking doesn't matter here, too; your confidence and preparation for a successful visa interview is what matters. I have a student in Dickinson State. Not sure if he out of status or almost done. Good luck! DavidN6: 1 Like |

Yes, you can use your uncle's statement, but note that you must chose YES to "Do you have any relatives in the US." In addition, I don't really recommend the idea of using a sponsor in the US, because most VO would see you as a potential immigrant. But with God all things are possible. So, try and see. Wish you the best amb001: |

Hello all, I want to confirm, if is true that if you don't use your US visa, you will be refused next time you apply for visa. I have a valid B1/B2 visa which will expire by March 2020 and I am planning to apply for F1 student visa - will I be refused F1 student visa for not using the other visiting visa first issued to me? |
