Before you submit your application, please make sure you have fulfilled the financial support requirements. Make sure you have tuition fee + 10,000cad in your account or in your sponsor's account. Or maybe pay a part of the tuition and have the rest in your account or you sponsor's. I'm emphasising on this because a loan promissory note from a bank won't work at all, especially if that's the only proof of finance you'll be submitting. I'm sure someone will reach out to assist you with the online application. Good luck. Tjkeyzzz: |

imade1: Getting your uncle to transfer your LE into your personal account will definitely pull through especially after paying for your tuition deposit. This will go a long way to show your uncle's commitment likewise the road to a show of financial strength BUT YET there are other endeavours from the part of your uncle as a third party sponsor that will question his family composition, business strength/source of funds, personal necessities/expenses outside your sponsorship. Also, help yourself/application with a recommendable SOP/LOE likewise your uncle's LETTER OF SPONSORSHIP that holds convincing words that best reflects your situation. Also include your personal SOA likewise his, and any relevant documentation that concerns his/your source of funds. If you have any challenges/questions regarding your application, I will be open to guide you to the best of my knowledge. 1 Like |

Tjkeyzzz: Not at all, if its relevant/gives credibility to show a connection/link to your adaptation to your prospect course/work experience/previous course or as an educational merit to your application/to fill up a study gap, you can include it. If its actually included to tell a story about your application/situation to the VO, endeavour to cite it in your SOP/LOE. Including it or other documents in your reapplication tells the VO that/how your case have changed. It might only ooze out a negative effect if certain information/document provided in your first application changed/omitted spontaneously without a tangible/convincing reason to back such decision/reason. Good luck! |

gatsbym4: ...to be capable of or collected a loan?. After collecting the loan, how is he going to show the other sponsorship proof of funds(sufficient closing balance)? Instead of collecting a loan letter, why not transferred the funds into his commercial/regular bank account then get a document of sales of property i.e. landed property then pay your tuition fees while also addressed in your SOP likewise his sponsorship letter - in my opinion this would quench certain doubt than the loan letter. The interest from a micro finance bank should also be taken into consideration because these VOs knows that the higher percentage charges with loans is excessive. The VO might use four eyes to scrutinize your financial capacity/capability (especially) based on your family composition same as the source of funds of your father. 1 Like |

Hello e-Fam. So remember the condition that I may work as an international student wasn't stated on my study. I went to the international services office in my school and they told me how to amend it. It is almost same with what Naijaforeigner did. Just a few differences, which I think is because I am an undergraduate. So it is basically applying for a new study permit. I have to fill the "Request to Amend the Record of Landing, Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Valid Temporary Resident documents [IMM 1436]" form, then mail it alongside the following documents, to their office in Ottawa; 1. Letter of explanation, 2. Proof of finance of over $10,000, can be a bank statement from your account here in Canada, or a scholarship offer....., 3. Passport photo page, 4. Study permit, 5. All entrance visas to Canada, 6. All entrance stamps to Canada, 7. Unofficial transcripts from the school, 8. Confirmation of enrolment from the school, 9. Admission letter, 10. Passport photo. Will be applying soon. 4 Likes |

Emmyirab: Aww, they are making you do a study permit all over again or study permit extension. Are you sure you wont pay for this application? The process I told you was simply study permit amendment and it is free. Its all good, just do what your school says. |

Good evening house, it's a privilege to be a part of this wonderful platform. I have been a silent follower of this thread for quite a while now. Now intend to take a step forward and begin my application. I intend going for a PhD in Political Science with the hope of getting a scholarship or some form of funding. Completed my Msc in 2016. Please guys, which academic window (Fall or Spring) do you think I should look forward to and what are my chances of getting substantial funding for my intending program. Please PhD hopefuls and other gurus in the house, kindly come to my aid |

Good evening house and gurus.please I want ur sincere advice on this issue. I will appreciate all ur input.. firstly am a Registered Nurse /midwife.(NRN/NRM... This what I have in mind, just that am confused on which to take... 1.... first option is sit for IELTS, and CBT , then contact an agency (I have some of them contact at hand) then go to the UK and work den sit for osce over there n become UkRN. 2..... second option is to study there, as in my bsc while schooling I will be working..... 3.....third option is to go to Canada, and do a PGD or so for like 1 year(11 months) before applying for bsc which I is 2 years... which one can still work and safe for the bsc...then one visa will be increased to 3 years.(so I heard) then I can now apply for Resident permit when I may have stayed up to 3 years there. (so I heard) please gurus in the house , pls put me tru which is the best, and the advantages.. 4....... pls help me include cheap\ less expensive university I can apply to. (for university option) thank u. |

samplay9:Hi there, this are my preliminary observations and hopefully others add their inputs: 1. You did not mention your co-sponsors dependents. If he has 2 or more kids then I am sorry that might be tricky. Also on the contrary for this to work try and pay your tuition from his account and he can state that he has paid your tuition. He can then state it in a LOS that he has made his personal contribution to your studies. That way he isn't making promises that the VO might not believe. 2. You have to provide a detailed timeline of your study gap and also a detailed SOP on why you chose the program and why it took you so long to apply for an academic program. 3. If you are talking of your dads retirement benefit which is probably all that he has. What's the guarantee that a VO will believe he will use that to sponsor you on a program that can gulp 6-9mill yearly. 4. Fathers dependents also matters. 5. You need a damn good explanation on why you chose the program and what you intend to do with it in Nigeria because you have no experience in the field to begin with. This like I said are my preliminary observations. 1 Like |
