So my spirit has been down because of this. Team 450. Two months in the pool. So indecisive about my current bills, it's making everything scattered one kine but I'm keeping faith. Surrendering to God's ways and not mine. Thanks Johnnybravo1990 for this. Congratulations to everyone smashing one hurdle or the other. johnnybravo1990: 6 Likes |

iaatmguy:Personally, I don't want to learn anything about electriciy at all.. That's why I came here to ask for opinions. It has crossed my mind but I'm not even giving it a second thought.. Unless I can learn the electrical aspect on telecommunications but how many companies can teach that in Nigeria? |

DonTee07:Just like I wasted that 5 years. I thought I'll be taught practicals, even not much but at least, handle something but no, theory upon theory. It was during my IT I was actually seeing how some electrical components work. All I do in the uni is just to read and pass.. I don't understand most of them. The only thing I know I got right and I truly understand was engineering mathematics, other courses? So much imagination in mind.. Nothing to explain it. That's why I came to ask for opinions here.. I don't want to learn networking and find out later that it doesn't have reasonable income in Canada, I don't want to learn how to drive fork lift and find out later that there are few industries that uses them, I don't want to learn plumbing and notice that Canadian government has provided provision for her people 3 Likes |

Vancouver4: Sorry, it happens. Human errors occur all the time. I had a spelling error in my attestation of birth document which I submitted with an LOE. You can write an LOE about this to keep your mind at ease. 1 Like |

Belemz: Full PPR gist Long gist alert from a silent reader. So it all started in 2017 when i got married. I did my masters in Canada finished in May 2017 and i went ahead to seek immigration advice(we have free immigration consultation for students) as to how to bring my husband( then fiancee) over here. Anyways, they recommended that he should come for my grad with visiting visa and afterwards we file for post grad work permit together inland. My dear it didn’t work o! Thats how they refused him visa but not only that, the gave him 5 year ban for misrepresentation. Imagine how devastated we were, we had to get a lawyer involved which means a lot of monies were spent. It was a tough time for us (bare in mind that this ban wasn’t his fault, it was because they said he had been to US and he didn’t declare it Meanwhile, my husband has never been to US even up until now.) to cut the long story short we won the case and they asked him to submit updated information regarding the visitors visa for free and removed the ban but at that point we decided to do Express entry so we told them my grad was already over and we were not interested. So from Jan 2018 we gathered money and saved up to apply in August 2018. At this point we were still doing long distance marriage and trust me this process lead to a lot of issues AOR August 4th 2018 I know many people will say i should have been the PA but i didn’t have a lot of canadian experience and you require at least one year to qualify for the CEC stream and i didn’t even have complete 2 years for express entry, i think i had about 8 months at that point for CEC so i just told him he could be( i didn’t know accra had its plans i should have just waited if i knew it was gonna take this long) Also my husband maxed out his IELT scores at once meanwhile, your girl had 6.5 in writing( we both did IELT only once)so i was just like lets just apply given that it may come the same time if we wait for 4months. The wait After submitting, we started waiting and by the first week of September( i don’t remember the day exactly) we got the medical passed update which triggered biometrics. He did the biometric on the 11th of September and on that same day it was updated on cic. After this there was silence, well except we moved to the supposed “IP2” which from my understanding doesn’t mean anything. I called CIC from here in canada and that was when i discovered our application was in AVO and the struggle became real. ADR After waiting for 7 months we finally got the famous 5 ADR on March 9th 2019. We were excited but, we had moved the POF into an investment account so we were worried that it was because of the movement that the ADR was triggered. Now we know we were worried for nothing, because they gave a bunch of people. Anyways, we left the money there and used a LOE to explain why it is there and we submitted on the 18th. PPR I had hoped that it will only take them a few days to get back to us. I kept checking every single day o. But AVO took their time and on the 18th of April, we saw ghost update i was so excited that it would come that night but i guess because of the Easter break it didn’t. On the 23rd of April we woke up to the mail. I never knew the power a mail had until yesterday. My parents were just singing and every family member of my family was happy. Now, i am thinking of getting a new apartment because the husband is coming. I am happy but to be honest AVO makes you have mixed feelings because of the wait. We are still thankful and i am thankful for this platform and the PPR stories shared here, the stories gave me hope when i was down and that's why i am sharing mine. Wishing everyone a speedy timeline. 78 Likes 1 Share |

Please has anyone been in a situation where your school says they have sent the verification email to WES; whereas WES is claiming they have not received anything? That is my current situation for my school and my wife's (Uniben and Unilag respectively). Both schools insist they have sent the verification emails almost 3 weeks ago; yet WES still says they haven't received any verification from both schools. Please how do you advise I resolve this? |
