By Daniel Anderson “Go Nigerian Army! For over two years the California National Guard and Army Aviation has been assisting the Nigerian Army start an Aviation Branch equipped to provide Helicopter support to their ground forces and people. Through the State Partnership program we’ve held several exchanges and visits to share our Army Aviation experiences, lessons, and way of doing business. In July of 2018 I went to Nigeria to provide training to their Aviation leadership and pilots. Just this week their leadership came here and I had the privilege to assist in hosting and providing training again. What an honor it is to assist them in starting a program from ground zero and to engage in all areas of helicopter aviation management, maintenance, training, and doctrine development.”

Nice pictures.
For the NA to really kick start these Aviation arm they need help from the federal government/Mr president. It's now how many years now since arm was created and what the army could only squeeze out was ongoing part payment for 3 LUH AS350 helicopters, Our military budget is way to tight !
We can do more better than these; if it means finding other alternatives of funding our military and various ongoing conflicts.

You cannot even figure out peak strength of Boko Haram? We ordinary folks have more sense than you who claim military knowledge.

I don't post anything without first reading lots of facts and asking those who know better, ¾ of my posts need you to do research before you can say my facts are wrong. Am no genius, but I do my homework before I write.

Yes, Boko Haram I called 40,000 fighters at peak era, I am 100% correct, na you be born mumu.

You don't know science of estimates, your brain needs full upgrade like alpha jet for you to think at that level, I need to find web info sources all the time to educate you adults with brains like Fulani cow gringringrin

1. First, how can BHT withstand NA, NAF, NN 30,000 troops if Boko Haram is not ± 40,000 fighters?

2. Second, 2014, how can Boko Haram firmly hold Nigerian lands big as size of Belgium with permanent caliphate garrison 24/7 impregnable to DHQ for months, and still have thousands of fighters based in camps in Cameroon, Niger Rep, Chad, added to 14 big local governments in Nigeria, and still have enough additional mobile guerilla forces that overrun our FOBs, if it has men not near 40,000 strength?

So your half empty skull cannot do basic quadrant mapping calculations of these four countries per square kilometre of BHT caliphate size to estimate total of how many men Shekau will need as roaming guerillas and occupying huge swaths of land?

Na your mumu type full dis Africa till we miss road to progress. Kikikikikiki gringringrin Now, find another fault in that my comment so I can squeeze more pepper inside eyeballs of you five adult mumus gringringrin

I had doubts but i have confirmation now that this guy is high on something. DOn't you know the meaning of estimation in your shallow brain. IF BH had 40k fighters it would have been something else. What BH is good at is hit and run tactics or guerrilar warfare which suits better little mobile units. At it height in 2014 Boko Haram had as many as 30,000 active fighters. They needed that many to hold territory the size of Costa Rica. Holding territory meant to had to engage the might of the Nigerian army in a traditional conventional mode of fighting. According to the BBC, engaging the Nigerian army head on was a fight they could not hope to win. They lost so many men..by 2015 half their fighters had been killed, it's commanders targeted. The majority of their casualties came from artillery bombardment. Realizing their mistake they abandoned the idea of holding territory and have reverted back to their cowardly hit and run tactics. Today the group numbers less than 5,000 active fighters, but in 2014 they numbered 25-30k fighters. These are generally miscreants and youths who little or no training. They stood no chance. Most of them are in hell now screaming.

Shame, most Nigerians remain people who hate factual correction, never agree they are wrong even if proved wrong with dozen facts.

They don't know it kills value of this thread, sensible guys don't want to invest time, too much insincerity here.

Attitude of I own your rights on this thread, is same thing those in big positions use to cheat weaker Nigerians. Hatred of what is right keeps this country a laughing stock to the world, yet we don't see reason to change, like national curse!

Dude where are you getting your figures from
Have you ever been to Borno or Northern part of Borno before ?

Even during the dark days(especially 2015) the total strength of BH will be between 8000-1000 at most. Dude have been in places like Baga, Bama, Monguno & Mallam fatori e.t.c.... Not to talk of God forsaken places like Kekeno my place of Operation, Mafa and parts of Sambisa. Note these "8000 to 1000" figures where not only in Nigeria, they spread across countries like Chad, Cameron etc.
Dude i av seen things with my eyes in Northern part of Nigeria, I spent almost six good years in Borno state and its environs between 2009 - 2015. You can just come here and start quoting figures from no where undecided

Chad as been a good breathing ground for terrorist, we all know that but your figures of terrorist you quoted is outrageous.

If you have solid education you will know that for planning purposes estimates are made where accurate census is impossible.

Nobody has accurate numbers, so sources say 5,000 to 50,000 BHT. Anybody can choose any number in-between estimate range, I chose a number different from your choice does not make me wrong. That is the cow brain understanding you display here and you cannot be corrected, you feel too big in your ignorance.

Your own sources Amnesty International or USA military entered Sambisa to do census?

You are perfectly bidexiii .Still wondering how some one would believe the BH at its peeked numbered 30,000 fighters lol. Some people are really inhaling some strong stuff in this forum. Even ISIS at it's peek never reached such numbers. EVen when a military force numbers 50,000, you have a maximum fighting forces of 20,000 to 30,000 men the rest are either administrative, logistics and pther supporting elements which permit the fighting force to be effective.
THe fact BH held territory as huge as Costa Rica does not mean it was found everywhere in those territories it conquered. If BH had 30,000 men at hand, ask yourself how it took the Chadians and Nigerians just 1 week to reclaim half of the territory. Seriously when you argue use small common sense and some little arithmetics.

Dude it's not about attacking me of anybody here on the thread.
You spitting shit's like the forum is; "boring, monotonous and repetitive ak-47-hilux-alpha jet forum...bla... bla" is thoughtless.
There other forums where you can talk military related matters or create one.. undecided if truly your claims where true and you've never contributed anything sane on the thread, rather causing commotion.

I caused no commotion, the thugs on this forum calling me hemp smoker for speaking my mind, backed up with a valid source, those forum members caused the commotion.

What you guys don't know is that calling people stupiid for not agreeing with you, makes the you look uncivilized, in decent societies people are free to have different opinions, and calling your thread monotonous is my opinion, but because civility and correction or opinion piece are all strange to you guys, you start attacking people and you yourselves start the commotion.

You can create peace by skipping over any comments you dislike, but you just aren't smart to do that. You start rounds of insult and then blame others for the chaos.

Learn to let others speak or you quit social media, internet is a free world for all, that's what you people don't know, you post 90% of content does not make you own any forum, you are just using free space that everybody has equal privilege to use.

Am not surprised, reason Nigeria is considered a jungle by sane societies grin they are correct o!

Seriously.IF they had such numbers why did miduguri not fall. THis town was attacked several times during this period.

40,000 men sharing 10,000 ak-47 rotated by groups running shifts of operations cannot take Maiduguri, BHT has no armoured corps, no artillery brigade, and no air force. How will they take Maiduguri that is a stronghold of NA, NAF, NN with hundreds of armoured vehicles?

BHT don't even have enough enough Toyota Hilux to carry 40k men, many videos show footmen or okada riders. If they come out with large force of 5,000 men heading for Abuja NAF helicopters will rocket them to pieces like meat grinder before they even reach Kaduna.

Boko Haram had no equipment and air power to do the job, that's why they cannot overrun 500,000 Nigerian army and police, we are too many for them.

You cannot think smart enough to figure that out gringrin Dongari, as tall as you are grin

For anyone interested in knowing ISWAP's true numerical strength, order of battle and source of funds, I suggest reading this https://mobile.twitter.com/FulanNasrullah/status/1120631799225491456

Nice one indeed.

They estimate ISWAP at ± 20,000 so BHT can hit 40k total, especially combined forces.

Only a fool will think BHT used 10,000 men to occupy the size of Belgium, with no air force c-130 hercules transport planes or thousand molue buses to drive them around to control and put Garrison on 30,000 km².

At 1 man per km² BHT needs ±30,000 men and extra for camps in Chad, Niger, Cameroon, plus raiding force mobile guerrillas. More like 40k. Then 40k men does not mean all own a rifle each, they rotate same limited weapons. Takes sense to figure this out.
