Hello all,
Please, I've been trying to submit my application to cic for days now with no success, the response I keep getting is that I cannot submit an application form that has been scanned and must provide a digital signature. I've tried filled the form through electronic means but the content can't be saved electronically, and that's why I printed it out, filled manually and scanned. Is there anyone who has faced similar challenge and how was it overcomed? I'm considering the paper route since I'm unable to successfully submit an online application but I want to seek help from the house to see if there is a way to overcome the challenge before applying through paper route. Thanks

To the bolded, the form is not to be scanned and doesn't required an electronic signature. Download and Upload the IMM form using the latest version of an "Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat DC, or Safari web browser."

The form also can't be successfully uploaded if the answers stated in the Questionnaire doesn't match/tally with the provided answers in the IMM form

Good morning people.

I just got admitted to university of Regina and wow I don’t know where to start from.

I currently work in a merchant bank.

My questions are

1. Can I have a bulk sum of 2 million transferred to my account?

2. Can I use a sponsor that is not a family member?

Thank you

Yes to both questions but you have to tread with a conscious care of reasonableness backed with tangible evidence to any stated claims.

If any bulk/lump sum is transferred into your account, do well to address it in you SOP in light with the reason(s), source, and intended purpose for the funds etc.

In terms of sponsorship, a close relative is preferably suitable but if a third party sponsor is more capable, do well to provide evidence of relationship and the prospect third party sponsor shows proper show of commitment like paying for your tuition fees/LE or both. Also, make sure the source of funds won't be at risk to such intended sponsorship

Good luck!

Things like this has happened in the erstwhile. Was your passport included in the envelop that conveyed the letter you got?

Have you tried checking your spam/junk folder of your mail box? If yes and nothing, then heed to the instruction on the gotten letter and send a mail regarding your situation.

BTW on "certain occasion" when something like this happens especially for paper route, the refusal letter can be printed from your gckey online account. Despite the odd of the decision outcome, you can still link it to be certainly sure if the letter is there or not.

Yes my passport was included and I have checked my spam messages, I have nothing there. I did paper route and also linked it online. I don't have any message on my hockey online account except the correspondence letter that was sent to me. I have sent the message as stated in the slip, and I got an automated message.

I just got an update on my CIC and request for medical. But not sure if it okay to get the Medical done from US

Omonoba1981:
I am thinking medical would not be needed. The requirement for Medical is if you are

If you plan to stay for more than 6 months

You need a medical exam if you meet any of these criteria:

You lived in one or more of these countries or territories for at least 6 months in a row within the last year

As I said in the past one year I have spent more than 6months in a country that is not considered as destignated.

As of sending them more mails. I will wait a bit till the MP comes with a respond. They respect their MP than me bombarding them mails.

The MPs has a special way in communicating with all the immigration office all over the world. They talk directly to their office via phone and direct email to their supervisors.

Sorry for the experienced inconveniences. The letter that was attached to your passport does it state both your application number and UCI number, or somewhat of the refusal reason(s)?? If NO, wait for a few days or Week to see if it would reflect in your gckey account while sending the emails at intervals. The refusal letter was supposed to be contained in the envelop that had your passport.

I don't know the possibility of requesting for your gcms notes without your application number and UCI number because these information are often requested for the process, if not the refusal reasons is also contained inside the gcms notes.(Anyone who has successfully done this without these two information can please clarify)

I am trying to pay for the application and biometrics fee online but my transaction was declined twice; I used a dollar debit card. I will like to know what type of card people use to pay for the fees online.

Thanks

Since you already have the letter of sponsorship, just the affidavit of sponsorship would suffice except there is a second sponsor with a promissory intent which in that case the Affidavit of support will well compliment the letter of support same as a show of commitment of the support esp if its a second sponsor having a third party ties to your application.

If its for application fees or Visa fees payment, a naira debit card will do the trick, GTB and FB works fine.
Other banks does but those two are my preferences.

If its for tuition fees: flywire, western union or form A is best suitable

The bolded has been a debated topic on this thread, only if you'd taken your time to go through the previous pages.

There are successful applicants on this thread who applied with the conditional offer letter, and if you can satisfy the VO on the requirements for the conditional letter, go ahead and apply, otherwise get your unconditional letter before applying.

The most important thing is addressing key areas that reflects to the raised concerns of the VO(for a refused applicant) and the general prospect of the course/benefits/future aim if your words can be filled with brevity to take only the form of your SOP or LOE, then go ahead.

But to clearly address the refusal reasons and explain some key words to the VO likewise to not making your letter to bulky as a reapplying applicant, it will be wise to separate your letter into SOP and LOE

To the bolded, not very compulsory but might be very necessary

Hello Abidx22,

Most or if not all Canadian university offering a Masters/PhD in Political Studies/Science has their admission window for only Fall intake I think except few DLI that offers a Graduate Diploma/Certificate in Political Studies/Science have their admission for Spring which most offers concurrently with an already enrolled/running program of Msc/PhD.

As for funding, there are always quite substantial opportunities set out for PhD students/applicants for funding except on rare circumstances. In aiming for a funding;

1. Contact/Secure a potential supervisor in research areas/interest best related to yours in the prospect DLI

2. Having publications/published articles.

3. A well outlined letter of intent intuitively detailing/explaining your research focus/aim, academic background, future reasonableness/career/prospects connected with your intended course/studies, detailing down of previous research/publications, outside classroom routines/voluntary activities related to your career path/choice studies etc.

4. A well detailed reference/recommendation letter from your previous professors/head of research team/lecturers etc detailing your research strength and focus/contributions to any published work/research/tutorials or assistant lecturing roles whether voluntary or paid etc.

5. Certificates/Awards from any voluntary services/academic reasonableness related to your career field or prospect course.

6. Apply to 2 or more DLI. The schools should comprise of both less popular schools and popular schools but make sure they can qualify you to be eligible for a PGWP. The numbers of schools applied to, the chances of getting an admission offer likewise funding.

7. An outstanding academic profile.

8. Befriend the graduate secretary(not always guaranteed but works magic if you can).

This is all I can recall for now.

Good luck!

I am very grateful for your timely and articulated response. Your response is noted for action. May God in His infinite mercies bless you.

It's just strange to me, I won't even call it letter it's like a slip and it does not contain my application number and UCI number, and there was no reason for refusing me. Well as it was stated in the automated message that I should wait for 5 working days I hope to get a response from them.

Thanks JustMellow,

I just called one of the clinic in Florida, and it was too expensive. I was told it will cost me $600.

I was wondering if I should send a message to CIC, that I have been in US for more than 6 months in the last 1 year.

Will this be a good idea? Maybe medical report could be exempted for me.

This documents showed are even surplus to get you an approval but Nigerian applicants and Canadian VOs are like 5.

To the bolded, is your sponsor and cosponsor also sponsirig your kid bro?

Also, get your cosponsor to draft a "Letter of Cosponsorship" as with details like:

a. Why such cosponsorship - To what suppose

b. Detail event(s) of previous support either self development/career initiatives

c. Roles your pastor has acted/played as either a spiritual leader/guardian/mentor/godfather or godmother

d. The composition of his family

c. How much is in volunteering to support your international/foreign studies with

Also a chip in to modify your financial status in the eyes of the VO given to the fact of using two sponsors, which the(some rigid) VO might want to know/curious that if you were financially buoyant to undergo a foreign study, then why a cosponsor. So try to block any doubt that might lead to unnecessary curiosity/scrutinizing by:

1. Get your cosponsor to transfer/deposit your 1yr of your LE of $10k or the pledged 4m into your personal account - Then include your personal SOA to your documents.

2. Get your sponsor to pay for your 1st semester/year tuition fees(please stay woke about their refund policies) - Then include the receipt of payment

3. For your NGO, include every relevant document that shows:

a. Registration

b. Gratification/Felicitation/Appreciation letters

c. Pamphlets

d. Website/Links(if available)

e. pictures(if available)

f. etc

Good luck!
Thank you very much i realy appreciate this.
As per the payment of school fees, the refund policy is not favourable to me ( university of regina) thats why am not paying yet till i get my Trv
Arrangement has been made for my pastor to deposit 4m to my account and i have been worshiping with the church for over 9 years as the lead keyboardist and also teaches members how to play the instrument, he is just supporting me when i needed it most.
I will work on getting most of the documents you mentioned, thanks a lot

I need more comments please.

I was given a conditional letter too but I had it waived. For me, they asked me to take a stat course prior to starting. The course online was 30 weeks and I was advised at the Vsf office to meet the condition of my admission before applying. If I complete the course before applying for my visa, I won't get enough time. Since I had already taken a stat course and I arranged to audit the graduate stat course at my university, I wrote to the program coordinator regarding my situation and they re-orded my admission letter without the condition.

I called and emailed as a follow-up. I recommend calling Dal instead of emailing. It's quicker and you can speak to the person directly.
