Gernny: That was then baba Then boom. .. Nigerians started going to the embassy with cooked SOA from those agents. Right now they put SOA under serious scrutiny. Exemptions are those with funding that covers a lot of expenses. So leave luck outta it. Some nasty people are trying to close the door for the innocent ones. 2 Likes |

Hello Nairaland Family, I have a huge passion in studying in the U.S but financially I'm not okay and it's driving me crazy, I have make researches day and night if there are opportunities or possibly loan i could get and payback. I'm not lazy i would pay back in time but none gave without a cosigner. The biggest problem I'm having right now is that, It's only me that have interest in this my parent doesn't seems to care about my passion towards this because they believe they don't have the millions and not ready to support my passion I'm set to take the SAT I've been studying for the exam for the past 4months now but haven't seen any opportunity to register due to financial incapability... Pls can anyone generous register me for the SAT...I know I might not have anything to reward the person but the God of Favour will favour the person in returns.... I strongly believe, I'll pass the exam with a great grade and qualify for scholarship... 1 Like |

Hello house Thanks for the info sofar... Read something on here about candidates that a offered provisional admission, having a hard time securing visa's. How true is this and what are the things one needs to have and know to prepare well for the interview to convince the vo and land a visa ?!? |

Naijamyhome: I just dey read una topics laff just dey catch me. So school determines ones fate. Ok o, we are what we believe o. Speak for yourself o if school determines your fate. No one is disputing the fact that "Graduates from top business schools stand a better chance than the folks from the low ranked ones", but is on campus recruitment the only way into top companies? NO. You can work from obscurity into limelight, it depends on the individual drive and vision. Person wey know say he no get top Business school portfolio for him resume suppose know say he go work extra hard to get to where he wan go. Attending a top school gives you advantage in the job market as a fresher but with hardwork and determination, a no name school graduate can still measure up. Highest na time e go take. "If you are looking to pursue a career in management consulting then attending a top 10 MBA program is a must." Your opinion though What you guys seems to forget is that top 10 MBA classes won't accommodate everyone but everyone can work hard and smart, network and attend Meetups, start from a mushroom firm and work his/her way up if that's what it will take. I don't even support taking up loans to fund studies but if must take loans to achieve your MBA dream, take the loan irrespective of the ranking of your school. It will surely pay off This overheated top this and that banter should end N/B: I just decided to research the poster and the account was hastily registered on the 12th of April. Suddenly dots are connecting. If you know you know 7 Likes |

dunsinunchained: Why will one ever use such kind of admission to the embassy So you mean out of close to 1000 schools all you could come up with is a school that gave you a non-regular admission? All I see playing here is desperation. You cannot convince the VO of getting a regular admission over there when you could not get it over here. You'll run into the streets |

sheke01: This your comment suffers from ignorance. But that is none of my business - I just want to comment on the highlighted sentences. You must be du.mb to think I will stoop so low to create a phony account and write comments. You must be so so so du.mb to think about that. I never even get enough time handle one account, na to go register another account dey write comments. See, I don't care if everyone attacks me for making valid comments here. I don't need to create a new account to make myself feel happy. As long as I drop valid and accurate tips here to guide prospective business students, I'm satisfied with that. Even if na one person my advice benefit, that will be something awesome. The haters can kill themselves - I don't care. 4 Likes |

sheke01:Oga, I don't think you read between the lines at all. Luck and individual brilliance play a part irrespective of the school but it can never work for every one. If it works for you, congratulations! It doesn't mean every other person should follow your step. And if you are being insecured because of the fact you are unable to get into a top rated school, don't use that to mislead others. You don't need to be intimidated thinking it jeopardizes your success in life. This is an online forum and everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. Santé! |

Hi fams, I am grateful for all your contributions on this forum so far, I really gained a lot from you guys. How I wish I had known this forum before now I wouldn't have fallen victim of red flagged school processed for me by agent. I want to ask a question bothering me and I need the input of experience individual here. Does it worth it to take a 25k dollar loan per academic year to pursue masters in Applied Statistics at the United state of America? I was offered admission last week and I applied for Mpower Loan and was conditionally offered the loan but I haven't processed the loan further because I need the advice of experience friends here on Nairaland. Thanks in anticipation for your advices. |

Thanks for the response. But I'm still expecting Nairalander's responses. I need to make a decision about the loan before weekend. I want to embark on my schooling project on my own, I don't want to involve my family because I don't want to depend on anyone for help with finances. orimahspence: |

Naijamyhome: Insecured, unable to get into a top rated school, intimidated, jeopardizes my life success are all your opinions. I won't talk about my insecurity, admission into top rated schools, intimidation, life successes with someone who opens a new moniker, jumps to romance section and starts seeking a "mature, good looking and serious lady for friendship that could lead to something meaningful, and the lady must be ambitious, good looking and less than 30 years old." When you reveal your old moniker, or you share your successful visa interview transcript, show us your admission to a top rated school and doing a graduate degree in a top rated program, we will have that discussion. Goodluck in the ultimate search for your soulmate. regards 10 Likes |
