I see you've been asking this question but i don't know if you've gotten an answer yet. You will be given a protective lead jacket to shield the foetus as long as you give consent to the X-ray. The risk of complications is greatly reduced with this. Just inform the radiographer about your pregnancy.

blessedmum11:

Congratulations to you and your family. Please can u help allay my fears/concerns so i get armed with appropriate information . Considering your baby was born in april implying you did medicals when baby was about 2 months of gestational age. Please how did your spouse get chest xray done?? Did the panel physician wave it?? Are there safer techniques employed for pregnant women??

Since it is stated in your payslip, I think you are ok. On a side note, don't you deposit in your account after receiving in cash?

Hmm. If it is just a few days difference, I don't think it will matter.

I just received the 5 ADR's from Accra, my problem now is that my salary was paid in cash and it is stated in my pay slip. What can I do about the request for the bank statement showing salary deposits?
Also, I can't remember the exact dates I filled in the personal history section for my past addresses, will this affect our application negatively?

You are good to go with 1221.

@newmum.0615 @Tops.mamen @Ifeoma.77 @joo.2018 and all other seniors

Kindly help in looking into the Job Descriptions below please.
Considering NOC 1221, is it up to 70% match?
Any other NOC suggestions?

1. Direct and co-ordinate the maintenance of a comprehensive and reliable administrative filing system to ensure up to date records for timely renewals or terms of service agreement with our service providers.

Thanks for your time.

Hi,
I also had an employment history where i was paid in cash/cheque but no payslips were issued. It was already indicated in my reference letter that i was paid in cash. So when i got the famous 5, i simply wrote a letter of explanation that i was paid in cash and no payslips issued (though i printed bank statements and highlighted some of the cheque deposits, just about 4 months out of 15months experience).

About your second question, you can check what you previously filled by following the instructions in the pictures below.

Thanks, I deposit the money into my account but most times it's never the exact amount, I often put what's left after deducting expenses.

I think you should do as @bouqounmie advised and include a LOE for the cash payments.

Good evening fam, I am in a bit of dilemma.

Please what are the consequences of quitting ones job before getting PR?

So I am seriously thinking about quitting my current job which I used to claim points; I actually accepted the appointment May last year because I needed to meet up to three years working experience, which I got a couple of months ago before entering the pool in March. At the time of filling my EE application, I decided to continue working at this place until April( this month) when I will clock one year at the job, so I used it as current job.

I have read instances where they ask for payslips/bank deposits ADR covering the entire period you are using to claim points, which would become a problem if someone quits and don't inform CIC and I have also read how quitting a job led to one brother going to Accra for interview because he resigned and informed CIC.

Someone advised me to hang in at my current place of work but the truth is the working condition is terrible and depressing. Getting up to three years work experience is what motivated me to stay on the job this long and considering there is no fixed duration of PR processing, I wouldn't really want to keep living like this.

I wouldn't want to complicate my application and that's why I am here to ask for advice. Thank you all.

Sister, what app did you use? Have been trying to book mine but the prices seems to high, I practically don’t really know how to go about it. Please help!!

Claire18:
POST PPR....so, I decided to drop this here just in case.
I think this is still under express entry.

I decided to wait till my passports came back looking beautiful and shiny cheesy

Then I paid for our flights...(family of 2) Lagos to Calgary

Tip: Getting a cheap flight
- Use an app
- Weekdays (Wed-Thurs)

I think I got a very good deal, for a 100 day advance. I used Ethiopia air. Booked on the app @ N275, 820 per person..for a summer trip. It can only be God. On their site, it was 10k higher. I didn't use an agent, I simply went to their office in VI and paid.

I hope this info is helpful.

Download Ethiopian air app or Egypt air( cheaper, but they have beef with Nigerians)
Avoid Sundays...N712k.
Pick the month you feel is okay, then begin to browse through wed/Thursday.
July 10th, 17th still have it at N275k. Following week at N300k.

Have you submitted your eAPR? When was your AOR?

No issues, as far as I know if you resign after AOR (if your PR application under Skilled Workers, EE FSW).

If you are concerned about ADR, get your payslips before you resign.

Stencil:
This is tricky. I dont know if this should addressed in LOE as claiming or not claiming sibling points is optional. Mentioning it in LOE might also open up a can of worms, for the applicant and the sibling who is now a citizen.
The bone of contention is declaring this sibling in the application. Ifeoma's answer seems to sum this up perfectly.

goodlife2018 ifeoma77 like i said earlier to be on the safe side. if CIC digs deep they would most definitely know someone has misrepresented. how ? let me cite this example.
there are five siblings , let's name the siblings A,B,C,D,E with NAIRALAND as their last name, two are Canada bound. D and E are the estranged siblings.
D fills in 3 siblings A NAIRALAND D.O.B April1 2018, B NAIRALAND D.O.B April1 2017, C NAIRALAND April12015 leaving out E NAIRALAND April1 2013. (this is a pure case of misrepresentation). if and when E fills and doesn't add D NAIRALAND as his/her sibling, E is also misrpresenting. now fast forward to a couple of years, one of the siblings or the parents plan on visiting or immigrating (do not forget both of them have common siblings) and their name pops up as having two siblings D NAIRALAND and E NAIRALAND, but voila the siblings have no connection. this might raise a flag and it might not (i guess you don't want to leave your PR status to chance). if common microsoft excel can bring out characters appearing twice on a sheet, i doubt if their software would not do far better than MS EXCEL.
However i might be wrong and i might be right.
pros and cons: you come out clean and never have to look over your shoulders again, or you keep it discreet and leave your PR/citizenship status to chance of CIC not finding out.
it's very dicey, if you declare now, you would be safe, but your sibling might be affected. if you don't declare now, both of you might have to look over your shoulders. or better still, have NONE of your family members apply to Canada again. THE LAW IS THE LAW, there are no exceptions, no matter how we try to circumvent it.

my two cents

Thanks. Wifey just paid today. 27k.

Cheers!

yemblaze:
I paid 10k then oo but now its 27k for secondary verification for WES.

PROCESS: There is a LASU UBA account called LASU Revenue Account at LASU. After payment, take the teller to the LASU bursary office (Admin block 2) where the teller would be converted to a receipt. Write your WES REF NO ontop of the receipt. Take it to the Exams and Records department located at ICT and ask for the Transcript verification officer. Drop a copy of your receipt with your WES reference number, name and matric number BOLDLY written on it.
All the best.

You can access what you have filled during the eAPR on your profile.
To check what was filled in your cic profile, Replace documentsToSubmit.do with applicationChecklist.do and hit enter.

Or, simply copy and paste this below link in your url after logging in to your MyCIC account and checking the uploaded documents, press enter (maybe on another tab) :
