Let's rub minds.

Do you think Jon Snow as the warden of the North would behead a deserter from the Nightswatch?
Let's assume that the night King is not coming anytime soon.

If yes. Why?
If no. What are your reasons?

Jon would behead him. Jon would behead ANY deserter of the Night's Watch. As a matter of fact, every Northern Lord will either behead the Night's Watch deserter, or send him back to the Starks or to the Wall to be beheaded (although the Crows were a bit lenient with that law amongst themselves; they didn't charge one a deserter unless it was clear the person had no intention of ever coming back - remember when Jon tried riding away to Winterfell after hearing about the Red Wedding..)

See, joining the Night's Watch is a VOW, and the penalty for breaking that vow is death. Once you become a Sworn Brother, your life is already forfeit. Ned Stark didn't behead that deserter in Season1 because he didn't believe his story; he beheaded him because he deserted the Night's Watch.

This answer has no connect, whatsoever, to the question.
it does. Given that same situation under that same circumstance, Jon Snow would have killed that night watch for deserting his watch cos he didn’t believed white walkers are real and don’t forget Jon beheaded someone for disobeying his rule on the first day as lord commander of the night watch.

These things your cited are bad example.
Most of the characters on your list apart from Bond come from [b]a source[\b]so what exactly is your point?
maybe you can shed more light on the bolded.
Now whats my point?
Most of the bullshit Hollywood sell to viewers usually pass through stages and build-ups until it eventually turn to norms in which some have no option than to accept it without compulsion. so many years ago we usually frown at gay scenes portrayed in móvies. but today people are embracing it with open arms (even in the nollywood industries though they do it in secret) and this hás distorted some peoples moral code are they are begininng to explore it to their detriment.
how is this possible? movie producers continue to feature this in their móvies in a subtle form until we start to see it as nothing bad.
same goes with feminism it is presently building up, its the spur of the moment. and watch it in few years time, the world would embrace it wholeheartedly by then it would be to late to start asking how we got it wrong again.

He wouldn't. If Ned himself had met, one on one with a walker before that execution, he wouldn't have decapitated that deserter.

Wrong. See bolded below:

While I don't agree with the actress' toxic feminism propaganda leaking into the movies, the most popular incarnations of Captain Marvel have been female.

The name literally says "woman". Were you expecting a guy to play a character called Wonder Woman? Seriously?

Don't follow this show so I can't really speak for it.

How can someone be a villain and still be "the most formidable superhero? Which one is she?
Anyways, The Dark Phoenix (The entity that possesses Jean) really is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

Again, it's right there in the name. Even though the film is a leftist propaganda-pushing piece of crap, doesn't change the fact that the character is female.

These are the only points that are okay in your argument. While I have no problem with Tessa Thompson being cast alongside Chris Hemsworth, I can't deny that it's not Hollywood pandering to the feminazi.
Any changes to Bond is an absolute no. Nothing should be changed about that character.
one way or the other we are driving at the same point. read my comment above.

Very true, the story of white walkers then was like a rumour, myth or legend.

So even Ned couldn't believe him and had to cut his head off for desertion.

You forget that the reason for the Night's Watch is to guard the realms of Men... from White Walkers and the undead.

I salute your intelligence. But I feel you can also look at it from another perspective.
Jon snow may decide to pardon the deserter as he is also a deserter from the nightswatch.
He might want to ask him the reasons for deserting if it is genuine.

Jon Snow is not a deserter. Men of the Night's Watch are sworn for life until they die.

Extract from the Oath of the Night's Watch:
Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post....

Jon lived and died at his post. The last sentence uttered whenever a Black Brother is being buried/cremated: And now his watch has ended. Jon's watch ended the night he was murdered.

Fighting "wildlings" was an afterthought, mostly because the free-folk started raiding south of the Wall and warring with the Starks. But after thousands of years without anyone seeing a White Walker, most everyone forgot the real purpose of the Night's Watch and believed it was meant just to fight wildlings.

The Rangers of the Night's Watch actually had a cordial relationship with the more peaceful free-folks.

some people will just be saying what they don't even understand.. seriously the most outstanding character is this movie is Jon and is worthy of emulation to the highest degree. All other characters fight for the throne including dany, but he fight for the people not the throne. he doesn't like ruling but he is born to rule.. he is the most humble in the series, and not proud like u expect him to be. And also u need to understand the situation at hand, he just learnt that he is dating his nephew... you should know what that means... so I don't know what ur balbing about. you know nothing lilbest4

It's a TV show, not a movie. And no, they are not the same thing.

In my opinion, the character most worthy of emulation was Tywin Lannister. Apart from the unfortunate blind-eye he turned to the incest between his children, his every other action is a textbook for how a real man ought to think, talk, and act.

Did you watch the episode or did a friend just tell you the major events? Jaime's trial was the first thing that happened, way before Jon told her his true name.
Also, if you were paying attention, you'd hear when she said her brother and she talked a lot about their father's murderer and what they'd do when they caught him.
Jaime's one of the main reasons why she never knew her father and had to spend most of her life in exile, but you think he's unimportant to her.

You lost in the conversation, no need to drag it with you

wildlings has always been one of the major reasons why the wall was built along side white walkers and the undead, but most people considered the story of the white walkers as rumor and moonlight tales until now.

The penalty for desertion in the Night's Watch is death. If you are caught by the Starks, it's death by beheading; if you are caught and sent back to the Watch, it's death by hanging. No question at all.

The reason for this is because the majority Watch are drawn from people who are already condemned - nobles convicted of treason or some such accusation; common folk caught stealing or robbing or raping or a host of other crimes - many wrongly accused or unfairly judged. But whichever, the choice was always death or life imprisonment for these people, or join the Night's Watch... and they chose the Watch. So their crime (or "crime"wink is forgiven in exchange for spending the rest of their lives at the Wall (Ned Stark was supposed to get this after confessing treason, but little sh!t Joffrey beheaded him instead).

So imagine such convicted criminals deserting their posts at the Watch... Once caught, it is straight death. And that, my friend, is why Ned Stark beheaded that deserter. It had nothing to do with his story.

A side thought:

If Joffrey hadn't beheaded Ned Stark but sent him to the Wall as planned, it would have been Ned elected the next Commander after Joer Mormont's death, instead of Jon Snow. Wouldn't that have been something?

Honestly I don't think the trial of Jamie was useless...

So you guys just want them to hug him for riding up North without the lannisters soldiers to help in the battle? He's a fckn lannister and kingslayer for crying out loud, what type of welcome should he be given, please tell me In as much as it's cool to criticise we should be mindful also.

Jamie was not even surprised with the treatment he was given, the only surprise he had was that Bran didn't even mention he was the one that pushed him from the tower. shocked

If they didn't want to put their past behind atleast for the sake of the battle against the Night king, why did they lose a dragon then, why stress and go to kings landing, why meet cerci

Or why didn't they reminisce on that when they met cerci.

the only thing i like in this new sansa's character is how calm she seems to be when you are trying to manipulate her ......and then just when u think u've gotten her pinned down, she throws u off the cliff with a sentence. grin

Sansa: And what happens afterwards? we defeat the dead, we destroy cersei, what happens then??

Daenerys: I take the Iron throne.

Sansa: what about the north? it was taken from us, and we took it back and we said we would never bow to anyone else again, what about the north ??

Daenerys: **oh for fvcks sake bitch** grin grin

Oh, really? You mean, if Ned and that deserter had, together, seen a whitewalker and what it could do, and had both survived it, he wouldn't have spared his life, owing to he deserting because of an unusual stuff?

You mean, Ned himself wouldn't have run?

tywin Lannister, a man who never believed his children practiced incest until he heard it directly from cersie, a man who slept with his son's LovePeddler and wanted to kill him for being an imp... perhaps also due to been smarter than him, although he was strong and wise but his downfall was his own blood.... and u call him someone worthy of emulation... old lady olena is even better...

I don’t know about the book but in the TV series. Jon Snow is head and shoulder above everyone in the series when it comes to choosing someone as role model.

Jon is portrayed like a saint. Everyone keep saying he knows nothing because he act so pure. Jon was killed by his brothers of the night watch because he allow the free-folks south of the wall (the right thing to do by the way). If not anything the scene in Kings Landing when they went to meet Cersei settled the issue. Yes, the night King is coming. Yes, winter is here. Yes, they need as many armies as they can get but Jon will rather tell Cersei the truth than to lie and backstab her later.

Do you even know why everyone Jon has met loves him and want him to lead? Man does not concern himself with titles or want no throne, he just want to do the right thing and fight for his people.

my episode three predictions
mind u this is not spoiler but my personal views
sansa will die on next episode

the big woman
ser darvos
gendry
Jamie Lanister (not really sure) are all going to die

sansa will get laid by dickless theon before kissing the death

sansa will tell arya about Danny plan and arya will kill Danny (not on next episode Enyway)

the crypt is no no safer than fleeing winterfell

I believe that melisandre altered her looks to become that girl that told ser davos that she will guide the crypts. This would be revealed in the next episode

Arya will use her training as a faceless whatever to infiltrate the camp of the night King...

The iron throne and its significance will be banished.

Yàrá will kill Euron...

Bran will warg Into the undead dragon and will die in the process
