Onelaw: Absolutely, i 100% agree with the spirit of your post. However, Africa predates Asia in years that amount into their hundreds and thousands. The Emperor Oduduwa came out of Yorubaland in Nigeria, his kingdom a major influence on Ancient Egypt, Arabia, and various other world civilisations. |

geosegun: Read THIS book, and you will learn just about EVERYTHING that caused Africa's rise and eventual fall. The Destruction of Black Civiization by Dr Chancellor Williams of blessed memory. This Oxford trained African-American scholar and historian spent many years in Africa, and visited over 25 countries, investigating the rise and fall of African civilization. The book has been called 'The Black Man's Bible'. I highly recommend it. You will learn so much. ............................... 2 Likes |

musicwriter: True. And history attests to it: THE DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE Note: All of Africa South of the Sahara was known to the ancient Greeks as ''Ethiopia''. Greek historian Diodorus Siculus. Author of Bibliotheka Historica. From his own statements we learn that he travelled in Egypt around 60 BC. His travels in Egypt probably took him as far south as the first Cataract. "They (the Ethiopians) say also that the Egyptians are colonists sent out by the Ethiopians, Osiris ["King of Kings and God of Gods] having been the leader of the colony . . . they add that the Egyptians have received from them, as from authors and their ancestors, the greater part of their laws." Much of Book 3 of the Bibliotheka Historica is devoted to the intertwined histories of Dionysus and the god-favored Ethiopians whom he believed to be the originators of Egyptian civilization. [emphasis added] (1st century B.C., Diodorus Siculus of Sicily, Greek historian and contemporary of Caesar Augustus, Universal History Book III. 2. 4-3. 3) Diodorus devoted an entire chapter of his world history, the Bibliotheke Historica, or Library of History (Book 3), to the Kushites ["Aithiopians"] of Meroe. Here he repeats the story of their great piety, their high favor with the gods, and adds the fascinating legend that they were the first of all men created by the gods and were the founders of Egyptian civilization, invented writing, and had given the Egyptians their religion and culture. (3.3.2). "Now they relate that of all people the Aithiopians [Ethiopians] were the earliest, and say that the proofs of this are clear. That they did not arrive as immigrants but are the natives of the country and therefore rightly are called authochthonous is almost universally accepted. That those who live in the South are likely to be the first engendered by the earth is obvious to all. For as it was the heat of the sun that dried up the earth while it was still moist, at the time when everything came into being, and caused life, they say it is probable that it was the region closest to the sun that first bore animate beings". Diodorus continues: "They further write that it was among them that people were first taught to honor the gods and offer sacrifices and arrange processions and festivals and perform other things by which people honor the divine. For this reason their piety is famous among all men, and the sacrifices among the Aithiopians are believed to be particularly pleasing to the divinity," "The Aithiopians say that the Egyptians are settlers from among themselves and that Osiris was the leader of the settlement. The customs of the Egyptians, they say, are for the most part Aithiopian, the settlers having preserved their old traditions. For to consider the kings gods, to pay great attention to funeral rites, and many other things, are Aithiopian practices, and also the style of their statues and the form of their writing are Aithiopian. Also the way the priestly colleges are organized is said to be the same in both nations. For all who have to do with the cult of the gods, they maintain, are [ritually] pure: the priests are shaved in the same way, they have the same robes and the type of scepter shaped like a plough, which also the kings have, who use tall pointed felt hats ending in a knob, with the snakes that they call the asp (aspis) coiled round them." "There are also numerous other Aithiopian tribes [i.e. besides those centered at Meroe]; some live along both sides of the river Nile and on the islands in the river, others dwell in the regions that border on Arabia [i.e. to the east], others again have settled in the interior of Libya [i.e. to the west]. The majority of these tribes, in particular those who live along the river, have black skin, snub-nosed faces, and curly hair". (Diodous Siculus, Bibliotheke, 3. Diodorus' words on the blacks of Africa ('the Aithiopians') written in 60 BC: "They further write that it was among them that people were first taught to honor the gods and offer sacrifices and arrange processions and festivals and perform other things by which people honour the divine. For this reason their piety is famous among all men, and the sacrifices among the Aithiopians are believed to be particularly pleasing to the divinity." Diodorus is right. There was a time when if a black man prayed to the Almighty, his wishes came true automatically. Africa was known as the Land of the Gods, and Africans were referred to as ''the blameless Ethiopians''. If you google that term, you'll be shocked by the number of ancient Greek references to Africans using that phrase. 1 Like |

When Europe was a wasteland of barbarism and cave-dwelling illiteracy, Sudan (ancient Nubia) was giving the world mighty temples and pyramids built according to the highest mathematical and geometric principles and standards. Not impressed by those small structures, sorry. BTW cave dwelling was quite common in many African regions. African cave art is pretty well recognized. Living in caves is rather smart as it provides excellent protection from weather and animals that would eat you. What was the written language of these people of Sudan. The Ancient Greek civilization began 12 centuries before Christ. Why would discount this and not mention it. The largest Pyramid built is in Guatemala. Constructed over 2,000 years ago. El Mirador is truly the lost Mayan city, a huge site (some say the largest Mayan city in existance) in the jungle of northern Guatemala. It is in the Mirador Basin, a vast area of virgin rain forest which also contains dozens of Mayan ruins including several large cities, the largest of which is the one known as El Mirador (which means “The Lookout”). The site is known as the cradle of Mayan civilization and is home to several huge structures and many square miles of unrestored mounds and pyramids in the jungle, covered in vegetation. It has been called the oldest and most extensive Mayan site in the world, covering 38 square miles, larger than the city of Los Angeles. No hotels, restaurants or tourist facilities. There are archeologists working there, however. The Mirador Basin in northeastern Guatemala is home to the largest tract of virgin rainforest in Central America. Within this region lies the remote site of El Mirador, the largest Mayan city that ever existed. The civic center of the site covers some 10 square miles with several thousand structures, including monumental architecture covered in vegetation. Among the ruins at El Mirador are the Danta and Tigre pyramids, the former said to be the largest pyramid in the world in terms of volume. The city’s main group of buildings covers two square kilometers and many were built on a grand scale, such as the “El Tigre” complex and the “La Danta” complex. El Tigre rises to about 180 feet tall, and its base covers 14 acres. The La Danta complex has a base that would cover 35 football fields. On top of this base is a series of plazas, temples, pyramids and other structures reaching to a total height of 230 feet, making it one of the tallest of all Mayan structures. |

^^ Stop posting modern artist renditions. This is a History thread for adults. Plus if we are to go for the ''biggest'', we could EASILY go to Egypt, black Africa's greatest civilization. Black Africans heavily influenced ancient Maya/Mexican civilizations, by the way. 1 Like 1 Share |

Onelaw:LOL European DNA goes back a heck of a lot longer than that. The genetic history of Europe since the Upper Paleolithic is inseparable from that of wider Western Eurasia. By about 50,000 years ago (50 ka) a basal West Eurasian lineage had emerged (alongside a separate East Asian lineage) out of the undifferentiated "non-African" lineage of 70 ka.[3] The basal Western Eurasians were early exposed to significant Neanderthal admixture. Introgression of Neanderthal traits persisted in European populations into the present, affecting traits such as skin tone and hair color, height, sleeping patterns and mood.[4] European early modern humans (EEMH) lineages between 40 to 26 ka (Aurignacian) were still part of a large Western Eurasian "meta-population", related to Central and Western Asian populations.[3] Divergence into genetically distinct sub-populations within Western Eurasia is a result of increased selection pressure and founder effects during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, Gravettian).[5] By the end of the LGM, after 20 ka, A Western European lineage, dubbed West European Hunter-Gatherer (WHG) emerges from the Solutrean refugium during the European Mesolithic.[6] These mesolithic hunter-gatherer cultures are substantially replaced in the Neolithic Revolution by the arrival of Early European Farmers (EEF) lineages derived from mesolithic populations of West Asia (Anatolia and the Caucasus).[7] In the European Bronze Age, there were again substantial population replacements in parts of Europe by the intrusion of Ancient North Eurasian (ANE) lineages from the Pontic–Caspian steppes. These Bronze Age population replacements are associated with the Beaker culture archaeologically and with the Indo-European expansion linguistically.[8] 2 Likes |

This is truly very educative, although I do not belong to school of thoughts in terms of creation of the Caucasians. We are not the Annunakis but almost all races of the world agreed that Africans were the first and that historians have not been fair to us due to lying of past historians and their hidden and explicit racism. We have always lived on the most stable and richest of the continents. We are been lied to quite a lot. My European colleague once told me that they have been wholly unfair to Africans as most of their achievements have been claimed and others destroyed because of their initial inferiority complex (added by me). Some truths were intensionally ommitted. Another had is dna test and was surprised to see traces of about 1.5% dna African (Nigerian to be precise) and about 1.8% Neatheranther dna. this actually humbled him as he was wondering how the Nig. Dna comes into being in him. This is true. Most whites that have done these dna are More friendly as they have known the truth that African are true humans with 100% human dna especially in Nigeria (Yoruba) and South Africa ( Khoisan). I have always learnt to know who I am 1 Like 1 Share |

Onelaw, If The Africans ruled Ottoman Empire and Rome which means they controlled both Northern and Southern Europe....it would not have been called the Ottoman Empire, nor the Roman Empire LOL. The Ottomans and Romans ran their own empires. If Moors/Morocco ruled them they why in the Bleep would Hannibal go to war against his own empire (Rome) that he ruled. |
