The reason why she doesn't want to use WES is because she took neco in her SS1 in the year 2000, that was the first time neco came out and she did well and that's the result she is using, how can she now explain to WES that she took the neco exam in her SS1, I mean how can she write 4 years instead of 6 years. How can she explain this please everyone suggest. Thanks |

Hello fam, it's PPR!!! TIMELINE: IELTS (4th attempt): 7/7/2018 ITA: 3/10/2018 (CRS 462) AOR: 8/10/2018 MED PASSED/BIL: 7/11/2018 DEFAULT IP2 REVERSAL TO 1P1: 22/11/2018 ADR: 21/3/2019 IP2: 18/4/2019 PPR: 23/4/19 FAMILY SIZE: 3 VO: Accra, AVO for short! All the while, my spouse had been the one carrying this Canada matter on his head while I was simply tagging along and as such never bothered to make any detailed research. But things changed in 2017 when I went visiting in the US where I spent a couple of months. To be honest, I never wanted to return back to home, but on the other hand I never wanted to stay back illegally even though most persons there were advising me not to go back to Naija again. So while I was there, I started making some serious research about how to succeed in our Canadian PR journey. I had written IELTS in 2015 to add to my hubby's points for PNP, and to be honest, I just strolled into the exam hall with the mind set of 'no be English again'? Moreso, hubby had just told me that all I need was 'a 5' in all the modules to give him the required points for Nova Scotia's PNP. As a matter of fact we had paid David Cohen some cool cash to handle our application for us. These guys kept our application for two whole years without ever getting a chance to submit it whenever NS opened up their Category B stream. Chai! Infact on one occasion when the stream was open to take in the usual first and fastest 250 applicants, hubby ended up signing into the NS Portal before our so called immigration Consultants, there and then we gave ourselves sense and withdrew our application from them. Fast forward to September 2017, I came back from my trip armed with all the information needed to launch my attack on EE. I had accidentally discovered that my hubby was a member of a closed group (Express Entry Law) on Facebook and I asked him to add me to the group. I followed every update on the group and all the PPR announcement there kept spurring me and firing me up. The group was created by Mark Holthe, an Immigration Lawyer and has mostly Indians in it and to be honest, they were quite selfless and kind with sharing informations as regards acing IELTS. I got to know about the Cambridge 1-13 practice materials for the first time in the group, and by the time I came back home, I gave hubby the assignment of printing the practice tests (1-13, General and academics) for me and told him that it was only condition on that I would attempt the exam again. Next step, I went in search of a job to in order to add one more year of work experience to my already existing 2years work experience. By November 2017, I had successfully secured an employment to the glory of God. By February 2018, I commenced studies for IELTS test. My self and hubby booked the test with MOD (Meadow Hall, Lekki) for April 30th and I mapped out the strategy for studying for the exam since my job was a 9-6 one. Thankfully, my workplace was about 15minutes away from home, so immediately I closed from work at 6pm, I would make sure that I got home at exactly 6:20pm, take a shower and be seated on my study table by exactly 6:30pm. I had given an instruction to my Domestic help to ensure my 2yrs old daughter is completely locked in her room with with her before 6:30pm when I would be back home. She (my help) would feed her, bathe her and put her to sleep for the night while I was locked in my room studying till 11pm. The only time I spent with my daughter were only in the mornings when I would get her ready for school. It was so painful to be honest and sometimes I would get emotional about it but i had to find strength and courage from the success stories of those who had scaled through this process. 30th April came, and after my test, I had a mental assessment of my performance and started sensing I may not get the required scores, so I just got home and slept till morning. The results were eventually released and I was right. I had fallen short in listening. There and then, I asked hubby to book me for another test in June and still wrote with MOD but this time on the Lagos Mainland. Writing on the mainland was the worst decision i had made as i eventually learnt from a friend who had written in May that they had to use speakers for their Listening test. She advised i also practice without headphones just to avoid surprises. On the test date, we however got headphones but as the exams were about to commence, there were several technical faults and we were made to start with the reading, writing and then finally listening. I was livid, and I immediately started loosing faith. I eventually, lost concentration during the listening test and knew that I was coming back again for another test. As usual, I got home and went into my melancholic sleep and hubby seeing me in that state knew all didn't go well. That night, I woke up around 1am, and quietly reached out for my phone and booked another test with MOD at Lekki (i had written there before and found the centre to be more organised as opposed to the mainland centre) for July 7th without even waiting for the results and i never bothered mentioning it to my hubby. It was the next day while I was trying to make payment that he knew what was going on and of course my results came in with all 3modules maxed out while I was short of 1point in the listening module again. Thankfully, the next exam as at the time my result was released was just a week away, so i focused my energy on that. Come 7th July, I wrote my final IELTS exam and Knew deep down, that it would certainly be my last. I fact when hubby picked me up, I was all smiles! He offered to take me to go eat out and I didn't object, (for previous attempts I'd say no to those offers and just head home to my melancholic sleep). So he immediately sensed i had done well in the test and by the time the results were released, I had successfully dumped IELTS for good. The feeling was outta this world! ITA: Next, I had to patiently wait for my work experience to clock 3years, and while I was waiting, i thought to get some first hand experience from my fellow countrymen since the EE GROUP I belonged to on Facebook was dominated by Indians and that was when i remembered Nairaland. I recall joining the thread in part 5, but quickly went back to flip through part 4 and I couldn't stop reading till date. The thread is truly a goldmine, I just laid low like that US submarine that was in Naija for months undetected I had gotten all the documents I needed to submit post ITA and was just waiting for October to get my complete points for 3yrs work experience and by October 1st 2018, while Naija was celebrating their independence from Britain with nothing to show for it, me and my household were celebrating the extra 25points that CIC gifted me for Independence day anniversary. Truly, it was my own independence day from Niaja! Then 2days after that, there was a draw, and voila, yours truly clinched her ITA and 5 days afterwards precisely on the 8th of October 2018, I turned in my application. MEDICALS, PCC: These were done on the same day. For Meds, it was at Children's practice and was quite a seemless process while Inspector Fatai sorted us out with PCC at 3.5k each. ECA: Hubby had once tried going the school route, so he had evaluated his results with WES and they were still valid while i had mine evaluated in 2016 for the PNP route he was initially going for. Mine being a Professional study, I got a Canadian equivalence of 6 years of professional study from my evaluation with WES. POF: For this, we sold one of our assets, prepared a deed of sale and submitted along side with title deed. The proceeds were paid into my account by the buyer and I highlighted the payment which came with a narration as well while the funds were fixed in a term deposit plus I had given an instruction for funds to be rolled over upon maturity. The rest of the funds came from hubby's dorm account while he wrote a consent letter giving his approval for me to use the funds for this journey. We also included part of his pension funds to act as a buffer in case of exchange fluctuations. Then we prepared a table to show all the funds and of course a screens shot of the day's exchange rate from Xe.com. I had asked question on the thread earlier about moving the fund from my Diamond bank account when I learnt about the merger with Access bank and got meaningful contributions from a lot of selfless individuals here. Infact someone told me moving the funds would mean that I was typing an application by myself asking for application to be sent to Accra. Hian! I had already moved the funds to my GTB account and raised a CSE in December 2018 to notify CIC about that only to get a reply that they had sent my enquiry to the Visa Office (Accra) handling my application. That was how and when I knew my application was in Accra. I later learnt from CIC call centre that my application was transferred to Accra on 29th November 2018 due to workload redistribution. REFERENCE LETTERS: I claimed work experiences from 3 different establishments; for internship, NYSC, and my present job. Thankfully, I had a good relationship and reliable contacts in my previous places of work as well as my present place of work, so all I did was to draft my JD and structure the letter in the CIC format, and then sent to them to type on the official letterhead paper. I was paid via bank in all these organizations, so I submitted bank statements showing salary deposits for all three work experiences. Having learnt that my application was transfered to Accra, I started worrying about what I had done wrong. Infact, because of the earlier response I got from someone on the thread when I asked about moving funds, I nearly almost blamed my dear husband as he was the one that insisted that I move the funds from my Diamond bank to my GTBANK account. Thank God for the CIC agent whom I spoke to and who confirmed the date my file was transferred to Accra (which was way earlier than when I moved my funds) and the reason for the file transfer. I became a PH.d student afterwards on everything Accra VO. I would also like to say that Accra VO brought out the research spirit in my hubby too because all the while, I was just the only one who was digging out alk the info about this process. Hubby only told me to involve him when there were cost implications, didn't like it but couldn't fight him either, lol. He was the one that found the Accra VO whatsapp group and we got added to the group in December. Life was a lot better in the AVO group as we saw we weren't alone. My information was updated on the group's spreadsheet and whenever I viewed the sheet and saw 2017 AOR still waiting, I would almost want to start crying! The group had different amazing personalities and there were always lots of permutations with different analogies of how Accra process applications. The very popular one being that AVO has a window period from January to March and with this we were hopeful. Fast forward to January and a few persons got ADRS and we all went ballistic, they were eventually followed by PPR mails and our joys knew no bounds. We were all fired up, while we looked forward to the next month hoping to see more applications approved. February came and they were still doing their thing at their pace, while we were still complaining, March came and it seemed like a drought had taken place in AVO as they were issuing more ADRS than PPR. Infact on a certain day, which was a Saturday (9th March 2019) one VO showed up to work and started sharing ADRS o! Sotey someone nicknamed them 'ADR Visa Office'... lol. The rain nor reach my side o, and I was believing God for a straight PPR without ADR. Eventually after two weeks when I didn't see my own share of ADR, I became worried. Different thoughts started crawling into my head. Abi dem no fit verify my previous work experiences? To make matters worse, I tried sending mails to the email addresses on my reference letters from my previous work experiences (trust our shabby so called Federal Government Hospitals) and they all came back with error messages! Ewo!! Ndia emee m ife finally!!! I started begging God for mercy. Then we proactively sent the famous 5 (an acronym the group had created to refer to the five documents that Accra usually requests for in their ADR) and also stylishly asked them for the status of my application on the 20th of March and they responded with their generic reply of "Dear client, be advised that your application is in queue for review". Chai, AVO, Infact eh, all of you that have your application in Ottawa can never understand what it means to be in AVO. This one that Ottawa would take their time to respond to your mails with details of every thing about your application, Accra can never be caught doing that for their applicants, their response never exceeds that one line I dropped above. However, to the glory of God, on the 21st of March, I got the groups 2nd most coveted mail in the form of ADR and I danced around like the golden mail had arrived. Since I had proactively submitted these earlier via CSE thinking it would hasten my application processing, I just fired it back again at them the next day, this time through the place holders provided for the ADRs . In this month (April ) the group has seen the highest number of PPR'S more than any other month and so while I was anxiously counting down to the 30days deadline before a decision is taken on my application, and at exactly 8th April, the day my application clocked 6months, hubby got a response from one of the Calgary MP's he follws onTwitter and whom he had contacted in March about helping us make enquiries on our application. He sent a consent forms to my hubby asking us to fill it and send it back to him. For me, I was very reluctant because we had contacted Uncle Ralph in February and he told us that eligibility, criminality and security had not started. I reluctantly filled the former and sent back to the MP and in seconds he replied the mail stating that eligibility was 'recommend passed' and added that it meant that they could progress with Criminality and Security checks. All through that night we could not sleep cos we were overjoyed! By 2nd week of April, a lot of October AORS including my AOR mates were being issued PPR yet mine was no where to be seen. Onye ne'eme m ihe a bikonu? My dear hubby, then decided to contact Uncle Ralph again and he sent us back to oblivion by telling get us for the 2nd time that nothing had been initiated! Village people don finally make sure say they use my application paper take sell corn! I was livid! I talked to a close friend turned sister in the group and she told me to ignore Uncle Ralph's message and that I should rather believe the MP'S own, since he doesn't attend to volumes unlike Ralph who gets to give updates to a lot of people. For my sanity, I had to go with her submission, I stan you Kory. My people, on the 18th of April (The Thursday before Good Friday) at almost 5pm, I logged into my application and saw an update. I had to wipe my eyes again to be sure of what I saw, then I raced on and viewed my application and saw it had moved to IP2. I was happy all by myself and concluded that God would hand me my PPR after the holidays since it was already close of work at AVO. They only decided to give me something to hold on to during the long holidays. I proactively got all docs ready for submission, packaged them over the weekend and handed over to my hubby whose workplace is close to VFS Lekki to take along to work on Tuesday. Men and Brethren, on Tuesday 23rd April at exactly 9am, the sexiest mail on the planet touched my mailbox to the glory of God The Father!, God The Son!! and God The Holy Spirit!!! AVO simply resumed work with my application! I owe it to God to return here with this testimony. Words have totally failed me, that's why I don't mind staying up this late to share with you guys. I have been so busy at work lately and I do not want to keep postponing this goodnews any more. Forgive me for all the typos, for IT HAS ENDED IN PRAISE FOR ME! May it be same for everyone still waiting. Many thanks to everyone who constantly take their time to answer people's questions especially the selfless likes of Newmum0615, Ifeoma77, Joo, Topsmamen, wassynewest, ladymarshall, mcstan, smslive, our own raphrulz of our what's app AOR group who I can call at anytime and be sure to get answers and a whole lot of you too numerous to mention. @Ifeoma77, I'm finally going gong to that place you told me that generators would only exist in museums N/B: please there are speculations that histories of previous Visa denials is one of the reasons for file transfer to Accra. I and hubby both had Visa denials in the past, and we didn't submit a Schedule A upfront. I was told that I should have done that, but the truth is that there are people who submitted Schedule A forms with their applications and their files still landed in AVO. But then, you don't loose anything by submitting it upfront so you know you've cleared all your doubts. Fact remains that AVO is a Visa office like every other Visa Office and as such applications would always be sent there to be processed. NOT ALL APPLICATIONS SENT TO AVO ARE COMPLEX. Apologies for the long post, that was never intentional, I just couldn't stop writing 112 Likes 8 Shares |

You guys must forgive this village girl who keeps asking questions at every point. Am about paying WES for ECA to get my reference number. I want to initiate my transcripts at my institutions this morning and I see options that am unsure of Credit Card: I don't have a Credit Card. I do have a Master Card Debit Card (ATM) will this work Western Union Online Transfer: I don't know how this works although I do know there's Western Union in Nigerian Banks. I see stickers and ads at bank. So which is the right one to choose? I'll prefer Master Card ATM Card or Mobile Bank Transfer from my phone whichever that works. Pleas answer if you know. Thank you. |
