Pls somebody help I got a driver who registered my Camry 2004 on Taxify. I gave him a condition that the car will always be with me on Sundays for my private use. He didn't like the idea. He said it doesn't work that way on rental agreement. He is to be delivering 25k each week.only from Mondays to Saturdays. Pls anybody to tell me if this arrangement with him is unfair. I need advice. I'm new to the Biz. My work does not permit to drive myself now
you are giving him too much listening ear, if he doesn't like the idea let him go, a thousand more will collect it for above that price sef

You quoted the WRONG person (he definitely knows more than you do about the business) with the WRONG answer YES. You can't compare what the earning was when Uber started and what it is now. If you were doing Uber then with your positive attitude, you would own at least 2 cars by now.
When people share experience here it can at times come across as negative but it is for everyone to learn.
Lastly, no one is saying you shouldn't work but don't overwork yourself...Fatigue is a crazy karma.
I wish you the best in the ehailing world!

I honestly don't believe all dis, but I'll rest my case... Funny how people talk about car problems and you don't see some names, just complain about pricing and someone that has never thought of commenting just sprung up from nowhere, the most crazy one is working for 5 months without a day rest. Sir machine, I greet ooo

Yes.

Since I join Uber January 2019, I have been doing well and earning well.

I have been paying my 35k rent, with no story. Been with the same car for almost 5 months.

I think Uber has given me a great opportunity.

I have stop listening to negative comments about slavery this, slavery that.

Bros, you are still new in the game. With time you will understand the big picture.

I have a target and I must achieve it.

Boss I expected more from you than using Nipsey as a yardstick... Regina must be a very hard working girl, but let me put that aside. If I can remember, there was no time your drivers are not doing good, until the day you complained of bad management, maybe you never get to see that coming.

My dear brother, ever since I got rid of my old manager and started managing the cars myself it has been good o .. I even have a female driver ,that nobody wanted to take a chance with..
Now do I challenges at times? Of coz just like any other business, but overall am doing much better than before bro. The point here is good drivers and good cars and good owners.. If you can mash those things up and a little bit of hard work.. The sky is the limit..
And keep in mind when everybody was jumping ships, complaining ,uber this and that joining the fence, uber is not designed for rental etc.. Am still here bro still doing it .. Correct me if am wrong .uber has been in nigeria for 4 years now? But me have been in the business for about three years now .. On business at times, you need to change your strategy and adapt to the business currant environment.. So many changes with uber up and down.. I change too ,I took better car of my cars, look for good mechanic and drivers.. I had to start from the bottom all over again.. When I say from the bottom, I sold all my uber cars that were under bad manager.. Bad oil completely destroy all my fleet.. I basically started with tokunbo cars all over. Lost millions of naira etc.. But look at me am still here .. Like 2chain said, " if you start from the bottom, you can see the top " it is not easy ,coz if it was easy everybody will be doing it . This is not a race for me ,but a Marathon.. TMC ... The Marathon Continues .........

Great observation... Let's be honest its not all about earnings.

We all earn and we've seen great performers in the past. Remember those days ( no need to mention names but we remember them ).

In the past Uber newsletter was sent weekly and they had special recognition for highest earning driver.

My people we have seen earnings, 250k , 300k and even more in 7days.

If we are not careful, the so called earnings we see on the screen will affect our judgement.

E hailing people, are we really making profit considering the current fares and increasing cost of doing business?
