Stanley5050:To troubleshoot this I will advice you go to the vfs in lekki to clarify this error. You have just 30days to submit your original passport and if they continue to delay cic will not give a listening ear to excuses. You conducted your biometrics exercise there and they are mandated to submit your passport to the embassy at no additional cost. |

SandCastle: Are you sure that’s the last page? Or let me say is that the only page the VO made his/her conclusion? |

fumisko:I really don't understand your motivation towards your study permit. But i will advice you do proper justification to it. Because the action of one person can affect others. If your study permit is still valid you can make use of it simply ask the school to give you another letter of acceptance if they can. And you give a solid explanation at the point of entry why you couldn't meet up initially. Please note that a study permit is different from a tourist visa I will also advise that you don't waste this glorious opportunity 1 Like |

Hello, Your situation is rather surprising and peculiar, I've never seen anyone who got a TRV for study permit and never used it/was uninterested in using it. I suggest you allow it expire, instead of cancelling it because I believe a visa cancellation won't look good on your passport. 2. Your TRV is specifically for study, because there's a stated category on the visa - if you check your passport, you'll see it, it says 'student' - so you can't use it for tourism. 3. While I don't know the reason you changed your mind about travelling to study, I'll advise that if you can, you should reconsider. Godspeed. fumisko: 1 Like |

For an Msc thesis based you'll need to get a supervisor first else they'll leave ur application pending. If u can't do that, email the graduate study admin for a switch to course based. waynee2baba: |

kcosam:I called the vfs global and they only gave me an email to send message to Lagos immigration. It’s going to take up to 2 weeks before they get back to me. I don’t think I have that much time to risk due to the fact that I have a deadline to submit passport. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by kcosam: 9:59am On Apr 29, 2019 |
Stanley5050:I will still suggest you visit the office in person if you are in Lagos, that is where you did your biometric and submitted your passport, talk to a supervisor there. |

Stanley5050:At the VFS Global office show the manager or supervisor the CIC update and make them understand the risk of losing the opportunity to get your TRV. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Abbeyme: 10:08am On Apr 29, 2019 |
IbikunleBukky: I wanted to do upfront medical, but IOM and Qlife are both giving loooong dates which will further delay the submission of my application. So I opted to wait for CIC to send me medical request. Tnx for your advise. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Stanley5050: 10:21am On Apr 29, 2019 |
kcosam:ok that’s a good idea. But when I called the call center, they told me that they have nothing to do with that. Telling me I should just send an email to Lagos immigration. |

IbikunleBukky: There have been no updates to your application (S3....... 5) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience. That is the message I just received from CIC in my email. What does it point to Pls? I raised a Webform yesterday for another reason tho. |

ILoveDLord: JustMellow: @ILoveDLord thanks for clarifying. I believe even at that, your application was approved?! And my post on the issue was tagged WRONG simply because the known method familiar to them wasn't implemented as a guideline, undermining my integrity with such porous instigation in the process. |

fumisko: Don't cancel anything, if you do, you might leave to regret it especially if its because of (maybe) your travel preparations. What you should do is to defer your admission to September if your resumption is for May or June. The reason on why you couldn't travel wasn't detailed out, I guess its privy only to you. Normally, Canadian DLI are mandated to report students who have inactively not attended classes for 90days which calls for the cancellation of such student study permit by IRCC but I think not all DLI are fully complying as they allow class attendance to the discretion of the students who would either have the final laugh or not when applying for a PGWP. You can get your study permit cancelled by sending an email or raising a CSE with your Full name(as shown on your passport, UCI number, Details of your DLI, DoB, Country of birth, Passport data page etc with a body message directing for the cancellation. The subject should be on cancellation. For your second question, you can use the privilege of having a SP as entry into Canada then apply for a "status change" from within Canada only if you still have a legal status. Doing this means you won't be able to study or work. FYI: Don't cancel your SP if its not a life threatening challenge/issue. I pray you overcome your worries, fear, or whatever that's posing to be an hindrance. Godspeed! 1 Like |

Stanley5050: I have come across this case before, send an email and raise a webfom with your/the relevant application details from your full name as reflecting on your PP, UCI number, DoB, country with a title as URGENT - Passport Request After Submission for Paper Application. Then briefly lay your unrest in a brief write up as the message body. You can as well try calling Nairobi VO on phone but they hardly respond to calls BTW to the bolded, how did you go about it, was it an authenticated reference letter from your bank(for the 1yr statement ticket) or the regular bank statement? please clarify! |

Its very right to do ur upfront medicals after submitting ur app.. And to the submission, the clinic will submit ur result to CIC, and u can as well upload the slip the clinic gave to you on ur medical day through the webform.. FYI the clinic wont give u ur medical result, they will only give u a slip confirming u have done ur upfront medicals.. Peace Chukwuemekatehi: |

URGENT PLEASE!! Good day the good people in the house, please I need your honest response to help me advice a friend properly. A friend of mine wants to go fmaster's degree in Canada, currently she has a PGD & a master's degree in the same discipline from the same school but wants to go to Canada for a second master's in a related discipline. Now the challenge is that she is planning to submit the PGD certificate as her highest qualification in the application for a TRV to avoid the VO raising unnecessary red flag by wondering why she is going for a second master's degree instead of a PhD. So please I need to advice her on this, is it OK for her to be silent on the master's degree qualification and state her PGD certificate in a bid to avoid doubt on her purpose of travel? |
