We're in the same shoe. Resumption for me too is May 6th. My flight is supposed to be today yet passport not ready. No correspondence letter either. I've called, texted, sent CSE, and the likes as suggested here but no response. I even went to VFS Lagos yesterday to be sure my passport was transmitted in the first place! Friday this week would make it 4 weeks that I have submitted the passport and going by previous data, I thought it should have been ready even before now. My advice is this: Let's keep hope alive. Something great can pop up after today's system maintenance. But by the way, when did you submit your passport? And when tracking it on VFS, what response did you get? mulikky: |

Hello, I'll reply to the best of my knowledge. Before you pay your fees, please know the refund policy of the university/college. That being said, let me go to your questions proper. 1. You could pay through your DOM account or pay in naira. If you pay in naira, the charges/conversion rate may be higher, this may cause a reduction in what you'll pay. So, I suggest you pay using your DOM account. Ask your bank how to do this, tell them you have the money in naira, they should assist you. This should take care of questions 1& 2. 3. Get his statement for end of April if you're submitting your application by May. I'm suggesting this because it MAY look shady if the remaining days of the month of April aren't included, one might think you have something to hide. 4. I think there's a guideline for addressing that reason for denial at the beginning of the 13th or 14th thread of this topic. Please check it out. On the other hand, someone might help you with that. 5. I can't help with this, Qudkom might help. He could outline it extensively for you here. 6. Use the passport. When you get to the expiration bridge/year, you'll cross it by getting a new one then. 7. What do you want the marriage certificate to show? What do you intend to prove by adding this document or your mother's passport and statement of account? PS: please include your statement of account if you can; endeavour to write convincing statements for your home tie, include as much proof as you can. God bless. Frank274: |

dedecoder:I understand the frustration. I'm also having a similar challenge. Calling the vfs lekki customer care is so difficult. After several tries I was able to talk to someone. Just when the lady was about to dictate my tracking number for my passport there was a network malfunction. But what she mentioned was it takes 5-15 working days to get a response from the embassy. I am just lucky my resumption is for Fall not spring. They dont reply mails either and its unprofessional on their part not to send my tracking number. Just keep pestering them, hopefully they give a speedy response. Everything in Nigeria is difficult |

Frank274:Hello, please stop stressing yourself. Walk into any bank and request for the form to make an international transfer. Access bank I know makes this easy. You don't need to do an exchange or whatsoever to make your payment. It's very easy just give 2-3 working days to reflect in the schools account. Alao make sure your name or preferably your sponsors name appears on the invoice given to you in the bank. That way you can claim your "inlaw already paid your tuition deposit in your letter of sponsor". 6 months before your passport expires you can apply in ontario-ottawa at the Nigerian embassy. That's not a big deal. Read my previous post on 3rd party sponsor for more information. You will also need a detailed LOE to comprehensively explain previous refusal. 1 Like |

I am really sorry to hear about passports being held up for weeks even months. After going through the pain of getting an application right and the excitement of getting a passport request. The emotional distress waiting for your passport is extremely difficult. This is more than sending webforms or even visiting VFs centers. I think concerned parties most especially the ones that have been waiting for months should try and go to the Canadian embassy in Victoria island and make extensive enquiries on their passports. This is just my personal thought and opinion. Most especially for people that have purchased tickets and about to miss pre semester orientations. 1 Like |

They stated it on their website that Supervisor is not required before the start of the program, then after someone apply, they leave ur application on pending till you can get yourself a supervisor. 1 Like |
