I get your time. Lolz. You should admit that you are not an island of knowledge as far as US visa application is concern. Yes, I went with the appointment letter I uploaded above, thou it doesn't show the barcode but since it's shows the day and time of appointment, that's all that matters. And it's still the same profile.

True, sometimes the information here can mislead people a also discourage them, sometimes i wonder if they work in the embassy, there's one that always talk about traveling to different countries outside Africa. So that means if you have no travel history then no visa for you lol. Everyone has different purpose for traveling so i hope no one will get a panic attack because of what some nairalanders say. Good luck to everyone who applied for a visa. Be confident and make your purpose of traveling as clear as possible (except you intend to overstay) thank you smiley

There is no 'reprint' option. I tried scheduling an appointment so it will prompt a message that I already have an appointment after filling my details. But I'm stuck. Below is what my profile looks like now. Just log out option

And I’m not in anyway telling you I’m a repository of ALL knowledge on these matters, never will say that. It is only this particular one I want to be clear on that I’m wrong, lemme at the least learn something new on this

I guess Abuja is faster then. I applied on 9th April and picked up my passport on the 26th. Factoring in the Easter holiday I'll say it took exactly 2 weeks.

Good morning everyone.

Please i want to know if its just me or if the dropbox renewal in Lagos Embassy is taking more time than necessary.
There is no status update for my visa when i track it on ceac website.
The last update is 18th March and it says ''Application Received''.
When i track my passport is says ''there is no status update for the passport number submitted''
Who else is experiencing this?

Hello guys, I was denied visa today but my parents were given. That was my piority and I’m happy they got it. I noticed 99% of all the young people I saw both married and single were denied only old people. For those who intend to go for their interview you guys should pray and hope for the best.

Well, well.... Congrats to your parents and you on their approval. You will have to build more ties to break the B1/B2 visa someday, like I said previously, you are much more in a vantage position going for a student visa per North America rather than a visitor's visa, especially if your sponsor is financially in order still, there's precedence to draw on to a large extent. This has mostly been on for maybe up to 6 months I think, no need for panic. Below was one of my posts on it at the time, it may be of some help to you.

In essence, they haven't touched your file "proper", relax all the same, except for the "needing my passport out for something urgent" part.

Begin to worry some bit if status changes to "Administrative Processing" and doesn't change to "Issued" in 2-3 workdays thereafter.... All the best!

Good evening, I have some issue bordering me right now. My wife and my daughter are planning to go to the USA. I had already paid for their visa fee. What I want to know now is that, is DS160 and visa appointment form compulsory for both of them or is it my wife alone that needs DS160 and visa appointment form. Kindly help me out

Both needs to fill the form and have an appointment for interview too. Your child could be scheduled alongside your wife via her profile or you set one up for the child (this is actually the better option to avoid future worries.

So my wife will have her own ds160 form and visa appointment and my daughter will also fill her own ds160 and visa appointment. But what I want to know is that is it possible for my wife and my daughter to have same date and time for visa interview. And my daughter is just 3years.

No one on this forum owns the other advice. People have different experiences and provide advice based on what they know or have experienced. This is not a place to sing kumbaya where people will tell you that every applicant will get a visa. The truth sometimes is bitter and harsh. If you have an issue with the quality of advice here just say thank you or keep it moving. I prefer the truth than false hope. However, I always advice people to avoid this thread few days to their interview cos it can mess with your head. I also know no one hear gains anything from the other getting a visa or being rejected and we should see advice here as humanitarian work

Yes, there's a column to fill any other family member booking same day appointment. If you are confused do your wives profile first, you can call the embassy to help you add your child

Good morning house
I was denied b1/b2 visa last week can I reapply for another one this week although I told them I will be going on vacation, I need your advice
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by groovychik(f): 7:55am On Apr 30, 2019
Has your status changed since last week? Somewhere on NL, you wrote you have not been working for 3 months. On Quora, I read that the more frequently you apply, the more you are seen as an immigration risk. However, we have also seen people that got their visas after two or three times. My advice would be to wait cos believe it or not, the VOs can sense desperation sometimes. Build up your profile, look for a job or start a business and keep enquiring about the UK Visa as you're already doing.

All he thinks of is just the “try-your-luck” approach like many others, and by the time you tell them the blunt truth, all the demons will rally round them in an attempt to ridicule you. But they lie, we will keep punishing schemers, deceivers and liars with the truth! They enjoy bringing the country Nigeria and its people to disrepute for all their wrong and selfish reasons.... This one wants to waste money if he doesn’t wait some good time and go back to the drawing board. He’s clearly just plain desperate if you go through his posts! Is it not the not-smiling US Embassy we are even talking of here?

One thing I know, in the midst of us saying we don’t know what your US B1/B2 visa acquisition chances are and that it is not a chance game, is that, in every 10 refusal-bound profile I see here, I can boldly hazard a guess on them and get as much as 9 right. It is only good profiles I may not be bold to say WILL GET A VISA. But a bad profile? I will talk! Most of us can smell it from miles away, how then will it get past the VO? You will now come back here with your bad profile and be playing victim when all you do is try-your-luck, hoping against hope, of course it will only take a miracle. And if the miracle doesn’t happen, stop attempting to do our heads in, please, we know more than that....

I’m planning/trying to renew a particular country’s visa for myself right now, despite all my travels (to both the said country and other better ranked countries) and visas (expired and valid), all the advantages going for me and all my knowledge, I’m holding off because I see a financial shortcoming somewhere (different embassies different approach), I’m not willing to apply leaving any ground to chance. Then someone will now want to spew gibberish at me because I’m lending a helping hand but being blunt? No wahala, we are here....

But they won’t grant you if that is the total value on your bank statement.

Hello all, please i have this issue bothering me. I got married sometime in 2013. Did my change of name, NewsP Pub nd all that... But my passport expired January this year. I just renewed the passport(that is it still bears my maiden name) instead of doing a change of name. The reason was that i was informed i will have to go to Abuja and it would take a while to get and it cost 53k(of which i didn't have much money as at then and i needed to submit a Valid passport for an admission application which had a deadline of 7days). Am presently about to apply for a US VISA with my family. Pls my question is Would the different names on my recent documents affect my chances? Especially because i did a change of Name in 2013. Nd renewed IP 2019 nd yet i used the maiden name.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by groovychik(f): 10:55am On Apr 30, 2019
People have gone for interviews with passports in their maiden name. A friend still got hers in March despite her passport being in her maiden name and had her marriage certificate as proof which they didn't ask of. Will let the pros here give their opinions. Best of luck.

Not an issue.... But @the bolded may not exactly be correct, especially if the previous passport already got expired before you went about the renewal process, my wife did hers in Asaba previous year without us breaking a sweat, and even at almost the going rate at the time. Well, I won’t be surprised to hear too that NIS has reverted to the Abuja approach on this anyways....

You have to fill a desperate Ds-160 form for the both of them. When filling the form, don’t forget to add your daughters details to your wife in the section of who would be traveling with as well as your child’s. For the appointment, you’ll fill only one and add your daughter to the mum as primary applicant, you’ll be able to add both receipts to one appointment.

That amount could be ok only if your trip is a short one and how much you will be spending. You have to be very rigorous in the application
