My Bros, those cars are wonderful rides they are mobile computers in action(numerous microprocessors at every module) hence the acronym over engineered-the thing that get me excited about the car, but if you are not a fan of such heavy microchips engineering , i will advice that you back off to avoid regrets.

For economy, i bet to tell u they are better than those data we got online.

For durability, they are da bomb, if you don't allow the microprocessors & sensors mess you up. Secrete, have a good scanner or a scanner friend, i don't mean those cheap scanners.

For speed and handling , no other rival, not even the almighty BMW. Some cars have speed but not handling but these ones have it all, both fifty-fifty.

Also, i forgot to say that everything is fixable, even by DIY. It can't be too bad to redeem.

so which will be suitable as I’m aware there are a couple such as c180, c230, c200 etc I want one with minimal maintainability, great economy and sharp movt, thanks

Finally got a Nigerian used W202 C180 with manual transmission without the air flow meter from a Man of God at N450k but the Speedo is not working, the AC not working (He claimed it is just the gas that is finished). Original Mercedes Benz ATf, drain and replace completely. 7 quartz should b about 30-35k depending on your dealer.

You can also use the new Total ATF. 3450 naira per litre, or liquimoly of equivalent specs.

But how did it get that low?

Well, thus far I noticed lots of electric issues due to the previous owners poor maintenance culture, also some dent that I have fixed already and set for repainting, the engine seating is bad too, changing them today also the speedometer is not working, any tip on how to get it work?

Baba, that speedometer challenge is a rabbit hole. First and foremost, scan the car... It might be as cheap as a blown fuse or relay in one of the SAMs, or as expensive as faulty speed sensors/instrument cluster/ECU. Or as daring as faulty wiring and electrical short outs. My brother scan first.

Not sure of any workshop that scans here in Lafia, maybe you point me to one in Abuja that you are aware of. Perhaps this car is the pre-facelift version I have just discovered this via the VIN.

The gurus will give you(5W40), its left for you to take it,palm oil gang (20w50) will also give you and tell you that gurus are insane and wasting funds.Whichever advice you take eventually I wish you well and enjoy your ride.

To avoid stories that touch ..follow the manufacture advice, it will tell you on the cap.. Failing to do so ,you are on your own.. Those engines don't come cheap... better to pound wise and penny foolish .. Look for good quality engine oil example Mobil 1 USA Import....

According Mobiloil.com below is the recommend oil for your vehicle... please always no matter follow the manufacture advice.. Recommendation will be on your oil cap or manual

It's just the grade of the oil. Most manufacturers make it so you can get Mobil 5w40, Valvoline 5w40, etc I've attached all your maintenance specs for you. DO NOT DEVIATE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR CAR. Nigerian kazeems will try to tell you it's okay but it's not.
