NYC....yet another film shoot.....Still Life. Looking down at few of the many support trailers. Unloading equipment to take to the site.... shooting in the Pharmacy. With all the activities and disruption......didn't spend much time shooting!

NYC..... Citibike is a bike renting company... you pay via credit/debit card ...bikes are e-locked at the stands and released with c/d card . You are now being charged by time and charges stop when bike is back in a stand at any location. But...these bikes appear in the hoods!....high tech vs low tech!...they know how to release the bikes without card.... ride then to near their destination..and just leave them on the street. .. another person hops on it..goes to where he's going...and do the same..abandon it!

NYC... the streets....just another day in the hood. Police showing up in force... maybe domestic violence ...as in man slaps his gf. Classic car being transported. Classic Jeep... modified... see clearance? Men's urban wear store featuring spring wear.

NYC....Mother's Day... 2nd biggest flower selling day..... common $10 bouquets ...if you're lucky...$25! Mexicans hog this business! A Car Wash...one of the more common places people without papers work drying cars. Update...Affordable Housing ...last phase construction...sidewalk... making sure it is constructed as required by law to pass inspection.

NYC.....Ghetto is relative....a ghetto/hood in one place may be compared to a middle class area in another. This is from one of the most notorious/baddest hoods in NYC....is it really as bad?... if no one told you you will never know.

NYC......outside one of the biggest and most notorious Housing Projects...Polo Grounds....but yet... I'm almost sure there's no area in Lagos that one would feel safer. Inside the Project... mail lady on her way to deliver... letters...bills... cheques...passports...Green Cards... money orders... drivers licenses...small parcels containing like medications...iPhones etc... can you imagine if ehmmm...let me shut up!

NYC....the long overdue Spring warmth finally arrived with summer heat...Signs of Summer. Last...hoard of drag queens returning to base after shooting a street video shoot.

NYC... Firemen in action!...second time witnessing a 'car fire'...both GM SUVs!..more like electrical...but a whole lot of black smoke storming out from the engine compartment of the parked vehicle. Both times the FD first pumped water from the front... the smoke died down for a few...and resurrected. That's when they bust up the dash to hose the engine from the inside... wreck the ar..no smoke...they jump in the truck and leave. Can you imagine returning to find your car all soaking wrecked?

NYC....Street hawkers....hustling is a must. The one thing this city will make you drop by force...is pride.You will do jobs (even if for a short time) you never thought you will ever do in your life. Selling gift bags (Mother's Day)... quenchers.... official newspapers guy.

I always wanted to visit New York myself, please do let me know how are the prices here for renting studio for few days, prices for taxi, middle restaurants and something like that totally. Please do let me know all of that. I do not understand anything for now

Airbnb is your likely shot and that you can find online. Budget for $150/200 per day...and that depends on location. Public transport is available 24/7.... can buy metro card.... $2.75 per use/ think $35/week unlimited rides. Used for bus and train....can ride on train and transfer to a bus/vice versa on the same fare. Restaurants...it depends.... high brew eateries where you want to snap pics and upload to Facebook to boost prestige... two thin slices of bread with one small scrambled egg and a teacup of ordinary tea can cost you $15.... do you want to know about lunch? At the restaurant of my choice...that whole heap of food doesn't cost $10... but this is about location. This enough for you to digest before making a decision.

NYC...Ramadan in effect. Outside Masjid in Brooklyn. Sunday... pretty well off but low profile residents of this neighborhood crawl out to have early lunch at a popular spot. Signs of summer.... regally dressed Rastaman selling water and juice.

NYC.....No space for stuff no longer needed.... either take to a storage centre... sell on line... donate or dump! These city birds... seeds and fruits and worms not on their menu...baked foods #1... here they share a bagel.... and I can bet my life would soon be flying off to find left over Pepsi or Coke!

NYC...Update...the sidewalk was long completed....the road that was messed up with the machinery and dumpsters had to be resurfaced by the building contractor.

NYC.....more hawkers... water is pretty much ok... anything else...permit necessary or else! Guy hawking peeled oranges... permit tag around his neck...other guy...checking his bottles water stock. Guy be hawking gadgets...phone chargers...holders....cases...etc.
Speeding along the highway saw this in my rear view...slowed down for him to catch up...I snaps ...and allowed the ehmmm....luxurious German machine to roll past!

NYC...At the Mall... mission...find a reasonably priced conservative looking pair of sneakers. Mission not accomplished!...not a guy to wear these see me from far coloured sneakers! Going with the flow! Lounge area... for the weary and the ones who came by force! Kinda like the red Jordans... untilnInsa2 the price tag!
