dokasia: PPR STORY – NOW MY WATCH HAS ENDED Okay, today is 28th January 2019, I don’t know why I want to write this but the spirit is telling me to write because I feel this is the week I get PPR. If it does, I would be so excited and might not write this. SUMMARY IELTS – AUGUST 19TH 2018 LRWS – 8.5/9.0/8.0/8.0 SPOUSE IELTS – SEPTEMBER 8TH LRWS – 7.5/6.0/5.5/6.0 ECA – APRIL 2018 – JUNE 2018 SPOUSE ECA – APRIL 2018 – OCTOBER 2018 (Did not claim points) PROFILE CREATED – SEPTEMBER 25TH 2018 HOW TO FIND A JOB MAIL – SEPTEMBER 25TH 2018 ITA – OCTOBER 15TH 2018 (CRS 442) PCC (ALAGBON) – OCTOBER 30TH 2018 (Police just dey rush us…) MEDICALS (IOM) – NOVEMBER 1ST 2018 POF – 100% GIFT DEED (Where I see that millions for this economy?) AOR – NOVEMBER 5TH MEP/BIL – DECEMBER 6TH BIOMETRICS COMPLETED – DECEMBER 10TH CSE RAISED – JANUARY 19TH (To know VO) VO – OTTAWA PPR – When you read this, know I got PPR the day this was posted DECISION TO TRAVEL In 2017, I was single, I have a job that pays me shit compared to what I bring to the table. Worst of all is there is no growth structure. You do not know when you are due for promotion or a bonus. Anyway, sometime in April of 2017, my elder brother came up with plans to travel to Canada. He was discussing it with me but truthfully I wasn’t understanding, my heard was just turnioniown. A senior Registrar, earning above 400k wants to leave Nigeria? Anyway, in June, he and his wife started the journey by visiting Enugu to write the IELTS, well the score wasn’t what he needed apparently. That night, he decided to register for the exam again for July, well I registered too out of curiosity. IELTS July came, I only remembered 2days to the exam and logged into my British council account and practiced with the free 30hr materials. Result came out. LRWS – 7.5,8.0,7.5,7.5. we both needed to re-write. August 19th 2017 we wrote the exam, immediately after the exam, I flew to Lagos to see my GF and I proposed to her. Result came out, LRWS – 8.5/9.0/8.0/8.0 He too got same. We had gotten the required score. WEDDING/ECA/ITA I had a wedding to plan, I didn’t want to start the application without my wife, I wasn’t ready to take the spousal route thingy. My brother entered the pool, got ITA, Submitted application and got PPR 18days later. He and his family waited for my wedding in April. The night after my wedding, we used money people sprayed us at our wedding to pay for our ECA with WES. Then the problems started. We figured out issues with my wife’s maiden name, there were a lot of inconsistencies with her names on her school certificates and documents. We had to go to Abuja to correct her international passport. Damn, we spent good money. My ECA was ready in June. She finished from IMSU, hers was an issue. While waiting for her ECA, she wrote IELTS in September and got LRWS – 7.5, 6.0, 5.5, 6.0. We couldn’t wait for IMSU anymore, we claimed sibling point and our CRS score was 442 without her ECA. We dived into the pool. First draw was 443, we missed it. Second draw was 445, we missed it again. Then OCT 15, boom, 440. We got ITA. MEDICALS We booked at IOM, traveled to Lagos to my parent’s house. We left early on the day of the medical by 5:30am, got there by 7am, took a tag and proceeded into a waiting room. We finished everything at around 2pm. On our way back, stopped to buy gala and coke at oshodi, na so local government people catch us. We paid 25k, story for another day. POF 100% gift deed from my father. Properly signed and notarized. I got my statement of account scanned and submitted with a reference letter from Firstbank. LOE I explained a lot of things here. My wife’s name inconsistencies, my gift deed, etc. can’t even remember all WORK REFERENCE LETTER I have only worked in one company since graduation, March 14th 2019 makes it 5years. I had my regional coordinator draft out the letter with appropriate Job description. We used a seal on the document and he signed. We submitted our application on the 5th of November 2018 (my brother created the profile, and uploaded all the documents. I didn’t even know the password to the account till after submission) POST SUBMISSION I told myself I wouldn’t check my profile like a lunatic. I was lying to myself. I became that lunatic. Naira land was my home. I joined more than 5 WhatsApp groups. Well the one created by RamJ still has a special place in my heart. We are favored on that group. Oh yes, did I tell you my wife is actually Ify on the group? Hahaha. Don’t eat me guys. After submission, MEP was December 7th 2018, that night we booked an appointment for Biometrics at VFS Abuja for the 10th of December. Arrived ABJ on the 9th. Used google maps to locate VFS the next day, the whole process took about 45mins and our profile was updated that same day. The whole December; SILENCE. In January, group members with AORs younger than mine started getting PPR. I was happy for them but at the same time I was a bit worried. Is my file at Accra? People were raising CSE to know their VOs, a couple of them were at ACCRA. I summoned courage and raised CSE 16th January 2019 I received a reply on the 21st of January 2019 – (The initial assessment to ensure your application is complete has been finalized on December 20, 2018. Following this assessment, your application was transferred to the Ottawa, Canada office. The office will contact you if they need other documents from you.). Phew! That was close. At least I had been hearing good things about Ottawa, God is in control. Oh well, I am sure by the time you read this, I must have gotten PPR mail sometime in the early hours of this morning, I must have screamed my lungs out of excitement and kissed my wife. Well PPR didn’t just show up at our doorstep after finding out VO was Ottawa. February 5th, we applied for GCMS notes and on the 8th of March, it was received. Eligibility recommended passed by the Case Analyst. Criminality was passed too but security was not started yet. My wife and I were happy everything was going smoothly expecting PPR. Now our rent was expired, Landlord refused to be paid monthly, we took a leap of faith, we parked all our property to the village. My wife resigned and went to stay with my parents in Lagos, while I stayed back and worked. (Note I do not recommend this. This was done strictly by faith.) March passed and nothing happened. We became worried again, fasted and prayed and on the 9th of April, I got an email asking me to check my account. It was an ADR to proof my sibling relationship. I quickly phoned my brother and we provided our attestation of birth (to show same surname), his PR card, utility bills and his statement of account and submitted 2-3hours after the ADR. We all thought that was it. CIC Laughed and on the 11th of April, They shot us another ADR. This time they requested for Schedule A for my wife and I, Proof of work experience, Pay slips, Statement of account. We submitted on the 16th of April. We knew it was getting close. We kept praying. On the 29th of April, I went to church in the evening and prayed. I told God I had committed everything I had into this project. I begged him to look with pity upon my wife and I, stood up and went back to where I was squatting. My brother called by 3am to tell me he logged in and saw that the Review of additional documents had changed to Not Applicable. I smiled. I knew God listened to my cry. Yesterday May 1st, I walked into Studio 24, Enugu, Told them to take my PR passport with the specification, they already knew it but I insisted and showed them the specification anyway. The guy looked at me and said ‘Oga I know am, No be you be the first person, una plenty wey wan leave’ He took the pic,I told them to send it to their Lagos office so my wife can print it from there. Since she’s with my International passport, she’d take it to vfs, lekki. I never get PPR but I had faith. I came back, and slept. I had the urge to wee by 1am, woke up, searched for my phone to use as torchlight, unlocked it and saw a Gmail message notification, I Knew. I pulled it down and there it was, laying sweetly staring at me – Ready for Visa. 3days to Due date. Oluwa bu onye dying minute. Thank you everyone on the Naija November AOR Group. Incredible people. I wish everyone good luck. No man left behind. It has ended in praise!!! 135 Likes 6 Shares |

Hello everyone...Been following this thread in silence mostly because I am yet to commence the EE process so i basically have nothing much to contribute, I’ve just been soaking in all the information here...I must say it’s really commendable the display of kindness here...anyways I’m sitting for my IELTS on the 11th, studying hard and trying not to get nervous...my prayer is to not have to sit for the exam more than once...amen! Lol. Hopefully I will share my IELTs maxing our testimony, ITA testimony and eventually PPR testimony I due time :-) 13 Likes |

Spouse isn't particularly keen on this EE thing. I've booked my IELTS and ECA is in process yet spouse has refused to do nothing including renewing expired passport. Me, am bent on this route o and I don't want to apply as spouse non-accompanying because I won't get PCC and medicals. What other option do I have? Please say a word of prayer for us 5 Likes |

Dear all, A friend Received a notification yesterday night. The application was canceled. Reason: Incomplete application. Did not include upfront medical report for wife and Kids. They were not in town at the time so he only did for himself and explained (LOE) that the wife was having a baby (almost 9months pregnant) then, being reason why they decided to do hers after birth. Any help / advise please?,or just back to square 1? |

Sorry to hear this. But CIC does not compromise on their primary requirements, medicals is a must. Pregnancy no matter how far does not preclude medicals. He has to do start afresh, re-enter the pool, get ITA, then book medicals for himself and the family and upload all the required documents AND/OR following the PPR story earlier this week, let him book medicals for himself and the family now, after he gets the information sheet, raise a CSE, attach the information sheet, appealing the cancelation. This might take months. While waiting for the appeal response, he can proceed with a new second application. If the first appeal is successful, he can then raise another CSE requesting CIC to withdraw the second application. Read this PPR story for clarity, https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/413#77961558 Whichever option, he must still do medicals with the rest of his family.
