Anambra has got to be the only state where streets in the village get tarred

Although i get your vibe, but i wouldn't call this place a "village". Ogbunike, Umunya, Ogidi, Oba, Akpaka forest, Nkpor, Nkwelle-ezunaka, Nsugbe and Umueri are now firmly suburbs of Onitsha metropolis. Ofcourse, they were people's villages

Just as our people have developed people's villages in Ogun state such as Ota, Ojokoro, Ifako, Ifo etc and now call those place "suburb" of Lagos.

Governor Willie Obiano has assured pharmacists in Anambra state of his continuous support.

Governor Willie Obiano gave the assurance during the opening ceremony of the twenty second Annual National Conference of the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria, held at the Golden Tulip Agulu Lake Hotel, Anambra State.

The conference which drew participants from the thirty six states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja was an avenue for members of the association to appraise their performance, successes and loopholes with a view to improving on their service delivery as well as be in tandem with the global best practices.

Declaring the conference open, Governor Willie Obiano represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike commended members of the Association for the strategic job they are rendering to the society and explained that his administration will always partner the Association for the state to be the best in terms of health care delivery.

Anambra...is always known for thin and very narrow roads with open gutters...the next thing the same Anambra state government will cry and lament over blockage of gullies and gutters by the people who dump refuse in to the gutters ....that results to erosion...while is the sole failure of the ANSG to cover the gutters in the first place. Is appaling.

This roads in the villages were first created manualy by foots of the locals...now instead widening it and making it look modern the government will just tar the road as it was created by the local pedestrians, making it look perfectly Ugly...

I appreciate the eagerness to work, but the work should be tidy enough...

Oga, Do not be deceived. Nothing good will ever come out of it.

Nothing good can ever come out of the Federal Government of Nigeria institutions. Part of the saving grace for Igbo race is that they learned from a long time to ignore the federal government and fend for itself. The Federal Government will only frustrate and systematically destroy anything that Igbos are naive enough to involve them in. That is the tragedy of the country called Nigeria.

Yeah but we must continue to be optimistic while we do the ones we can do as a people. For instance, most of the pharmaceutical companies producing drugs in Nigeria are owned by easterners and some from southwest. These companies needs support by way of constant supply of electricity to help reduce cost of production. Cheers

ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE INNOSON OPPORTUNITY

The landmark progress made by Innoson motors should act as a catalyst and road map to kickstart and encourage industrialization in our dear state. It should attract government attention and support for entrepreneurship in Anambra state in particular and southeast in general.

Chief innocent Chukwuma by some sheer entrepreneurial wizardry and innovative push has done what everyone thought was impossible before now .Like play, like play he established the first and only privately owned vehicle assembly plant indigenous to nigeria in particular and africa as a whole.Even the whole world have since taken notice of this incredible feat,CNN,Aljazeera,BBC,et al have all been to Nnewi to “confirm” the rumored vehicle plant as a “reality “Innoson deserves state and institutional support.

Anambra state government should be in the forefront of marketing Innoson brand, this should be the new face of Anambra technological advancement, innovation and progress........southeast governors should also key into this technological advancement, but,as the igbos say “onye ana eduje ogu na ebu uzo” .Anambra state government should lead this marketing onslaught ,all official vehicles should be Innoson ,intact,Obiano should include Chief Chukwuma in his entourage for all those his foreign-investors-seeking trips ,just as federal government moves around with Dangote........we cannot blame others for low patronage when our government is guilty of same ........ Obiano could even commission Innoson to make a specialized security car for his use .

Innoson has put Anambra on the economic, political and social map of the world through a successful investment and employment of citizens, the job of every government is to provide needed social stability and security through employment generation,Innoson has done this.By helping keep Innoson in business,Anambra stands to gain a lot, just like Tata did in India and eventually brought affordable cars and other household accessories to every household in India,Anambra can help her indigent citizens “afford” Innoson ,l bet you that if Innoson was dangote,Kano state civil service and even the whole northern civil service will all officially use dangote cars .......this is the way development happens ,let’s not miss this opportunity.

Anambra should help Innoson sale it’s vehicles and should do so proudly, this is the original “nkea bu nke anyi “,it should even pay Innoson “advert” fees to include an inscription “proudly made in Anambra “ on each vehicle made and sold by Innoson.......by “sharing” in Innoson success,an impression that Anambra is a business land of milk and honey would have been established beyond doubt. This is how it works in every serious economy that wants to progress ,Nnewi merits an economic and industrial hub status,Anambra government in particular and southeast governments in general should be interested in clusters like Nnewi,Aba,Onitsha,et al.......through provision of infrastructure .........this requires leadership.....

Many years ago, president Clinton as US president flew to Japan to meet and beg the aging 89 year old owner of Sanyo electronics to reverse his company’s decision to close its factories in USA because of poor patronage and sales ,the adamant Sanyo owner refused to bulge even after Clinton offer tax rebates and incentives, president Clinton ,in a typical godfather mien then made an irresistible proposal, offering to help Sanyo sell its products all over America by getting Walmart (America biggest retail outlet then ) to display Sanyo products in all their outlets ,a deal was sealed and 10,500 jobs was saved for the American economy......

Our problem in Nigeria appears to be the monthly Abuja oil money ,most governors don’t care whether businesses thrive or not in their states because government is run independent of employment generated taxes ........the prices of Innoson cars will crash when it is deliberately “assisted” to remain in business .....southeast governors should even buy Innoson vehicles and dash or donate out........Anambra should lead this charge by “donating “ Innoson vehicles to sister southeast states whenever the need arises on “humanitarian grounds “.All the “foreign aid” we hear about do not always ever come in “cash”,America gets it manufacturers to produce needed goods, pay them ,tax them and then ship the goods to assisted countries, including weapons, that’s how American jobs are created ,saved and maintained..........

INNOSON is our heritage, the pride of south-easterners and the original “nkea bu nke anyi”,let’s preserve our heritage!!!

May 29 is around the corner when Okorocha will step down. The governor will be stepping down leaving behind landmark achievements such as A new Police Headquarter, the largest Cargo Airport in Nigeria, IMO state's first 2 flyovers, New IMO government house ( the people's house), ISOPADEC building, IMO traditional rulers building, the best and most beautiful Chapel in Nigeria, the Ikeduru general hospital which is like the best hospital east of the Niger, The Twin house, renovation of Concord hotel, Hero's Apartments, Odenigbo Guest house, New spare parts markets, Farmer's market, a new polytechnic and so much more. Once the new maternity hospital is completed, it will be the biggest in Nigeria and add up as one of Okorocha's landmark achievements. Whether we like him or not, people in IMO will always remember Okorocha for his free education policy.
This brings me to the remaining so-called good governors in the SE like Obiano, Ugwuanyi and Umahi. Obiano's convention centre has been at the foundation level for 4 years now, the Airport project has stalled. Obiano's landmark projects, which are the 3 flyovers in Awka, the Secretariat, and Agulu lake hotel are still not enough to meet up to Okorocha's achievements in his 5 years of ruling. The only outstanding achievement of Obiano over other SE governors is the Agricultural sector of Anambra state. The Onitsha general hospital hospital has been under renovation since God knows when. I am focusing on Obiano here because this is an Anambra thread. Its time to remind Obiano that he has not done anything exceptional or unique to be crowned the best governor in the SE as we speak and he must complete the landmark projects that are progressing at a very slow rate. The Airport project is not even progressing at any rate.
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MXr8p: 10:12pm On May 05, 2019
Trash from a clown. Obiano's just 3yrs in office surpasses all that Okorocha did in his 8 wasted yrs.

Where are the Imo flyover? It has never been completed till date, whereas Obiano has done 3 flyovers, completed over 5 other bridges across so many rivers in Anambra north that connects to the agricultural belts, oil fields, etc. This is aside countless road projects across the state. Okorocha only renovated the govt house, he never built any new one.

What about investment in education that has seen Anambra continue to maintain lead ahead of Imo state, whereas Okorocha has been deceiving himself with the free fake education that has seen education collapsed completely in the state. Did you just called that motorpark in Imo state an airport? You really clowning.

Yes the ICC, airport projects are all ongoing, if you don't believe me, then go to the sites and bring pictures to prove me wrong. There's a substantial sum for the airport project in 2019 budget, read it up and stop spewing nonsense.

While Okorocha has incurred debt of over 250bil with just roundabout and nothing more to show, under him IMSU, IMSUTH are now poultry farms, while Obiano has gone ahead to add more structures to ANSUTH including Oxygen plant. I can go on and on.

There's no basis for comparing light and darkness.

Trash from a clown. Obiano's just 3yrs in office surpasses all that Okorocha did in his 8 wasted yrs.

Where are the Imo flyover? It has never been completed till date, whereas Obiano has done 3 flyovers in Awka, completed over 5 other bridges across so many rivers in Anambra north that connects to the agricultural belts, oil fields, etc.

If you want to counter me, do it with facts. The flyovers in IMO state have been in use for 2 years now. So an oxygen plant is a landmark achievement? Something that Dozzy group group opened few years ago in Onitsha. U didn't even counter the remaining achievements I mentioned, u were more concerned about flyovers.

Which other pointless point are you yapping about? You are not making any sense. This is the present condition of the flyover Okorocha has been building for the past 8yrs. Obiano's performance in just 3yrs surpasses all the noise and hot air from Okorocha.
