Is Ghana must go not too weak and likely to tear on the way?
Embarrassment is what I really dont want

I think he is considering the weight of Ghana must go bags as compared to ecolac bags to accommodate much items that will amount to 23kg.

I guess there are still some strong Ghana must go bags in the market and moreover it also depends on how you handle it. That reminds me, please remember to bring along with you some Euro coins as it will be useful to enable you make use of the trolleys at the airports in Germany.

They don't weigh handbags. You can put Maggi and other ingredients in the bag.

Also, it's advisable to use ghana must go instead of ecolac.

Personally I won't like to be seen near any international airport with a Ghana must go..chukwu ekwena. When boys de roll luggage, the person will be struggling with bag wey fit tear any moment..lol. my thoughts tho.cheers.

lol, remember most airline only take 2 piece 23kg plus hand luggage 10kg or so. Any other addition you go pay extra luggage and believe me the price no be here. But like you said u can put food stuffs inside one bag and the other for clothes if ur not the cloth type.
To me, any amount of foodstuff u carry will one-day run out, so it's better to get used to there food from day one. As na winter I de target God willing, I prefer to carry more clothes, winter jackets and shoes as against food items.

I sold the boxes I took back to Nigeria when I went for the holidays. While coming back I bought 2 strong Ghana must go for 2k each.( the boxes I sold weighed 5.3 kg each).
That's how I entered Leipzig Airport with my bags oh like one market woman. Seemed like Zoll was scared to search my bag they just asked me to go.

That's how I dragged my load oh. Everyone was just looking at me.

If I tell you the things I came with. Box sef for cry.

I have a handheld luggage scale, so I am always on point

Lol, don't tell me you carried the bags on your head. Anyway, Leipzig is a smaller airport compared to Frankfurt. Imagine if it was Frankfurt you landed, with no coins for the trolley, Mehn na Gobe be dat now, from baggage collection area to train station/taxi pick up. Don't try this if you are coming for the first time ohh. It won't be funny

Basic foodstuffs to bring while coming in my opinion: egusi, ogbono, dried fish, stock fish, ground pepper, dried bitter leaves, crayfish, red oil.

These are the basics, bring as much as you can!. The red oil sold in African stores is trash in my opinion cheesy.

While cooking Nigerian soups here, you can always use spinach as your vegetable.

This is sold for 1.99€.

You don't necessarily need to buy stock cubes while coming.

Are these stores in every city in Germany whether big or small??

You'll find them in just about every city. The exception will be parts of the East, but even those parts are about pretty good saturated with ethnic shops now.

This post is from Eke40seven

One thing about the southern States like Munich is that they are quite expensive in terms of accommodation and cost of living but there is more than enough job to go round ...The Bavarian accent too is something else but there are quite a number of English speakers...If you want a metropolitan life, Munich in the south will give it to you..There are other smaller (relative) southern cities which are less expensive but still good. e.g Nuremberg, Fürth, Ingolstadt, Augsburg, Würzburg, all in Bavaria and Stuttgart, Reutlingen, Heilbronn in Baden Württemberg. Hamburg in the north is not as rich as the south, but its a great metropolis one can survive in although relatively colder but with a clearer accent.

The thing you should consider as a new student i think is to know where you know someone so that you can settle better and more easily then maybe move on when you have found your bearing.

You can register with toytown-germany and look up similar questions or ask about your city of interest if the people there can help with information (note that people there are not the street hustling type and their view may be 'buttered' kind of)

My 2 cowries!

Hi. After reading about Maggi I went to their online page. They have plenty different ones in Germany, check out https://www.maggi.de/produkte/bouillons

If you want to bring food with you, I just read that meat and egg products are not allowed to be carried to Germany, because they could bring bacteria over or something like that. If they find it, they will keep it at airport and destroy it. No joke.
