thanks for your response and condolence, actually i am not the breadwinner, i am just staying with my mum helping her out while i work as a software developer at an IT company in abuja. my boss already gave me a grant for leave for the next two years and also a sponsorship letter. in my letter of intent i claim the government plans to pay my dad his 15years pension arrears wihich my brother and i have planned to use to create a reputable family business. as for my sponsors, they have opened a joint account in my name with 30k$ CIBC Bank. they also produced their SOA and letter from bank claiming their annual salary is about 191k $. i am also waiting to enrol in my fall semester term so i can pay my tuition as i cannot pay tuition without enrolling. after paying tuition then i can submit my visa application. so my question is should i still upload my own personal SOA? thanks Yes definitely you should. And also your current employment documents. Payslips, work id, leave letter etc. 1 Like |

democrat101: OK sir, considering your points, how else can I convince the VO I'll return. I have the capacity to claim to be a worker at my Grandpa company and he will be paying half of my tuition fee. isn't this convincing enough to the VO? Please check my previous posts concerning home ties. I believe you will get a lot of inputs on how to go about home ties. |

What are these documents for? Are you applying for a visa that has just a few documents required or something else? Please be careful what you include in your application - be as concise as possible. To your question, I don't know what you should submit. Asapant: When adding sales receipt to application. Should we submit the whole booklet for six month or we submit the just November 2018 and April 2019 cash booklet this 2 months should cover six months. Or we tear off the duplicate off the receipts for the month of Nov 2018 April 2019.
Advice pls. |

I don't know how this transfer would boost your application, especially if you already submitted their statement of account when you were applying. If they transfer the money to you now, you'll have to submit an updated statement of account, and it may look suspicious. Why didn't they transfer the money when you started the application? I'll advise they leave the money in their account and you just keep praying and believing. Godspeed. Caddy123: I need everyone thoughts pls on this. My sponsor wants to transfer 40% of my tuition to my personal acct now, my resumption is on Monday 6th, and they (vo) just started my eligibility review and background check. How is NYSC a red flag? i don't agree with this. For me, I think he failed to convince the VO on two key things. 1. Purpose of visit - how well did he address this in his SOA 2. Intention to return to home country after studies - the OP is 31 and has no travel history. Also, how well did he show potential job prospects upon his return to Nigeria? These are the things that come to my mind. Of course, GCMS notes would help put things into perspective. Senatorkolade:

It's the employment verification process. You don't have to provide everything but to be on the safe side you should provide your employment letter and work ID card. Cic at random sometimes do physical verification of applicants work places. The chances are slim but not impossible. PS: Salary account is also a plus. |

I am sorry for the delay. You have got good finances as you have 7kCAD extra from your funding. There's also good educational progression. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 3:45pm On May 05, 2019 |
Everything I'll be writing here is my opinion from the little knowledge I have. The money in your account is small; if they refused you based on funds, then your funds are low. Increase that amount or get a co-sponsor who would show their willingness to support you by either paying a part of your tuition or paying the money earmarked for the sponsorship. I'd advise they pay a part of your tuition. Even if they do pay a part of your tuition, you need more money in that your account. I'd have said you should wait till after your NYSC to reapply but I suspect you're in a hurry because of that mouthwatering Graduate Assistantship you have there, so I'll say you should write a banging SOP addressing the rest; because of the NYSC and the employability reasons, I'll advise you remove that unemployed and put your NYSC place of employment. I don't see the relevance of Nos. 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21. The documents that concern your extended family aren't relevant in my opinion. Your wife is the only family you need to prove as a home tie, and if you have children that'd even be better. Unless you're the one taking care of your mom, then you can explain that in your SOP/LOE. The purchase agreement is for a family land, not a personal one, so why will that bring you back home? I'd have used the family land as a supporting document for funds (this is for online application) while in my SOP I'll write why that decision was made, going as far as to say that the land can be sold if I get short on money. Work on your home ties please. Show how that degree will work for you here in Nigeria. Please remember that these are my opinion. Someone else may have a contrary view. I wrote all the above based on my limited knowledge of the application process. Godspeed. AgroNACT: TRV REFUSED! PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVICE

I sort of knew this was leading here, but I wanted to have you say it instead of assuming. I think it's better for them to verify for themselves, that's their job not mine (the applicant's). When I applied, the only thing I filled was my 10 year work history, I said if they wanted to do a background check, they should be my guest. I got the visa. That was me tho. Anyone who wants to put theirs can do so; just do what makes you comfortable. BUT don't put in too much document that'd lead to confusion. Being concise and precise matters a lot. If it were an interview, being concise and straightforward would be the best way to go about it. Qudkom:

Yeah, I think you're very correct. Also, I think his personal account was low. He's going for an MSc. not a PhD so he can't fully rely on that stipend, he needs a little more money in that account. His wife may even still join him at a later date. My opinion tho. sillysassysally: How is NYSC a red flag? i don't agree with this.

@Frankrobbn1 @GboyegaD @Austicus @042viber Top up your money to 3 million and above and reapply with the same documents you listed. You're matured and married. 1.2 million in your account is not reasonable in the eyes of the VO that handled your application regardless of the funding. (how would your folks cater in Nigeria?) ask yourself that question If you're showing such little money, How much does your wifey has in her account? (common bro, you're married don't think for only yourself). Ongoing NYSC is not the problem here. They don't even recognise that sh** 1 Like 1 Share |

ADVISE @austusus, 04 viber, qudkom, justmellow et'al
what is the best solution for a young couple who wants to relocate and hubby's sister is sponsor via SP
1) Tuition 13k, flight 4k to and fro, upkeep 15k, couple's joint account is 6k, sister has 55k in mutual fund and other investment like treasury. currencies are CAD.
couple are both employed and run private business and weekend basis. hubby has inheritance from grandparents land, house. couple both have landed property in their name different.
2) hubby going for a yr course, should they apply together or separately? if together, wont the vo think its just a short course and can stand as home ties for hubby? or can the couple claim their a growing family? |

IbikunleBukky: thanks, what if she applies first? cos all these vo's sef, its hard to please them. they know that 99percent going to canada via school wants to relocate. i dont know what is the sin relocating through school, after if you google ways of relocating to canada school is among them, what if feel should be their concern is that students actually go to the school. You might need to rephrase your question. If you were asking if she could apply for a student visa, the answer is yes.youre welcome. |

Didn't your wife's study permit application just get refused? Why do you want her to apply for visit visa immediately? She cannot work on a visit visa, therefore a spousal open work permit is what she has to apply for after you have received your study permit.Good luck.
