you know Nigerian Christian and Muslims don't really believe in 'live and let live'. Cos if they do, they won't be acting the way do.

I'm a Nigerian Christian, and I believe in live and let live, but not all Christians do. A lot of religious people in Nigeria don't believe that mantra, but I do. I believe that with time and enlightment, Christians and Muslims, especially Yoruba Muslims, will be more tolerant than they are now.

so you're an idealist. Lol. Evil doesn't always beget evil same way good doesn't always beget good.

Going by the the rule of thumb, evil indeed begets evil.

It's not idealism, it's just common sense.

I was once intolerant as a child, but as an educated and enlightened adult, I'm now more empathic and tolerant.

Before twins were killed, now that tradition has been decimated.

Even developed countries like USA and co were once intolerant towards gays but look at them now.

With TIME and education, religious people will be more more tolerant in future than now. It's all facts.

dude you're really cracking me up. All you posted doesn't really speak about facts, but of personal belief.

If you still believe the USA and co are tolerant of gays, then I'll really believe you really believe racism is dead.

How far and wide have you travelled around Nigeria before you came to the conclusion as regard the bolded?

I'm not saying ALL Americans are tolerant towards gays or have accepted them fully, but many are tolerant towards them. Gay people are not killed wantonly or jailed in America like it's in Nigeria and other African countries. Gay people are allowed to get married in the likes of USA, UK and others, how many African countries accept that?

Face it, European countries are more tolerant towards gays now than in the 18th century, and the number will keep improving as time goes on.

funny they're tolerant to gays and not blacks. Do people actually go to jail in West for racism?

May be the numbers will rise in the west, but in Nigeria, I seriously doubt it. As long as religious intolerance and religious extremism are weapons, they will continually be used against those who fall prey to it. Simple.

So how come I went from an intolerant Christian to a tolerant one? Did it take me 2 million years to achieve that? What of Christians like Falz and Banky W that have defended gays before and are tolerant of them, are they aliens?

Can you compare the racism in the era of our forefathers to the racism now? For fvck sakes, Blacks once couldn't vote in America but the past president of America is a black man.

Blacks once upon a time were picking cottons as slaves for a living. Those things no longer exist in America. Racism will never be totally eradicated, but it's reduced over the years. This is all facts. Google it.

Tolerance will increase in Nigeria, just not as much as in her European counterparts.

I think I have to say something on the issue of tolerance.

The level of tolerance noticed in man is first, a function of his biological make up or nature and not primarily his religion. Culture, race and the likes may play roles in escalating such tolerance/intolerance traits in a man yet, the level of tolerance can still be traced back to the person's creation.

The level of intolerance in some ethnicity/race is high (e.g. Arabs, Persians, Fulanis/Hausas) while it is relatively low in some {e.g Yorubas, Chinese undecided} that's why you will see that an average person from such race/ethnicity explodes either easily irrespective of their religious affiliations.

In short Man needs a coverup to perpetrate the evils in him. He either use religion as a coverup against a fellow countryman with a different belief or; race/ethnicity against a man from another race who shares his belief.

Most of the atrocities committed using religion as justification are by naturally violent people racially or culturally. They either deliberately twist the teachings of their religion or lack indepth knowledge about the teachings of their religion.

I beg to differ on your last paragraph. Someone that's naturally non-violent can become violent once he associates himself with a toxic association/religion. Research thoroughly and see cases of individuals that had no violent history but became terrorists when they got into radical Islam. There's a reason someone said religion is the opium of the masses. Don't underestimate the power of religion.

Na, wa o. Did I ever disagree that religious people are intolerant than tolerant ones? My stance has been that the number of tolerant religious followers have increased vastly. This is the truth.

Bro, there's a vast difference between being a born again Christian and a Christian. If you go to church, pray to Jesus, read your Bible and believe the things/doctrines in it, you're a Christian. But practicing what God has commanded us to do in the Bible is what makes one a born again Christian.

Tonto is not a born again Christian neither am I

We're not the same, but their actions influence us a lot, truth or not? The English we're speaking, the rap music our musicians are singing, the bikinis our ladies are wearing, the cars we drive, the planes we fly, the house we live in currently are all ideas of the West.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by abdurrazaq(m): 2:06pm On May 06, 2019
We have cases of many that have also left the religion they were born into just because they were not in agreement with its violent 'teachings'. Those that left such religion must have had very low level of intolerance and therefore finds it hard to hurt others all in the name of religion. However, the fact that someone has no history of violence does not mean such a person is not violent by nature. He might appear less violent because he has not been presented with the right opportunity or instrument or cover to exhibit the wickedness in him. Therefore someone who cannot avoid the teachings of 'radical islam' and go ahead to perpetrate evil has evil in him. The evil might just been unlocked by the new associations

Please guys I need the name of a certain Jackie Chan movie. In this movie he became the driver of a James bond type secret agent but when the agent got incapacitated or something of the sort he had to step in the agent's shoes and blah blah blah...

I just happened upon the movie one certain day in the long past but couldn't finish through thanks to our electricity company, I liked the movie and made a mental note to download it later but unfortunately I didn't get the title. I wonder if anyone here has seen this movie and can help me with the title I will be grateful.
