Thank you for your reply. Not really, my sponsor's account manager who is also the branch manager wants to write a personalised bank reference for him to be used for my application, so I was asked to send a draft but I am not sure of the key information to include in it. By the way, is the bank reference letter that necessary? Only my thoughts....The bank manager is not the bank, neither is he the owner of the bank. I am afraid any personal letter from him would carry any weight. The only reference letter from any bank must come from the management (shouldn’t be a one man thing)... Generally adding a reference letter from the bank to ones application is a plus but not a necessity. Let the gurus shed more light... 1 Like |

Schonebaby: Honestly, I keep reading ur profile and wondering why you were refused. People whose profile have been not so good have been approved visa. Perhaps you had a very sour visa officer? Your purpose of visit is strong, your career progression is ok. Funds are ok, family tie is not bad. Perhaps age? .....31 is not bad for M.Sc. It's possible your NYSC stood strong in the visa officers mind. (The fact that it's compulsory for Nigerians to finish it?) How was your SOP, ur presentation, the grammar, and flow... I'll like to read it. I'm very interested in your case and I want you to get it right the next time. Can
Please can you kindly send me a PM so that we can talk privately as you have suggested? My PM is not going. |

I believe initially you said the company has plans to make u a full staff...if so, u can meet the HR and he or she will draft an employment letter for u and study leave...u mustn't include your salary account because since u have a fully funded scholarship. Just get a sponsor that will cater for your the living expenses, if the your #1.2m can be raised to 3m...u include your own SOA Ok, noted! I really appreciate your advice, thanks so much. |

If you are not in a hurry you can sign on to the CAC website and get the registration for the business done but if think you can not do it yourself go to the nearest CAC office to you ( in this case you would make do with the tours around there to do it for you at fee). In 1 week the certificate would be out. Since he uses his personal account for his business you can throw in 2 receipts that corresponds with some inflow just to show where the money comes from. This is my opinion though. Asapant: Yes. Am his only dependant. His business is not registeted |

The vo might not understand you having an account that’s financed by you, your wife and in-law to study abroad when the same course is available in your home country at extremely cheaper cost, bearing in mind that even the said amount wouldn’t be enough for your flight and cost of living. What will your wife live on? That might be the question the vo couldn't figure out and concluded that you are not a genuine student. PS.my opinion. Thanks so much. Opinion noted 2 Likes |

sillysassysally: I have a friend whose situation was quite similar to yours. She got full funding for an MSc and her passport was semi-virgin (lol) the only time she had ever traveled out was to the UK when she was very little (like 4 years old). She was rejected on the basis of purpose of visit, travel history, personal asset (something very similar to yours). The second time she applied, she used consultants (Maple Education). Some of the things that i know she did differently includes: 1. Deferred her admission as she was already short on time 2. Wrote a banging SOP - I can send you the template she used 3. Even though she had full funding, she still used a sponsor (her dad) whose SOA could cover her cost of education
Like it has already been said, i would advise you to order your GCMS notes immediately as it'll give you more perspective to what the VO's line of thoughts are regarding your particular application. When you have done all your hard work, don't forget that "faith begins where facts and figures ends" - Omofar. I pray that what God has started (getting admission and full funding) would be perfected for you.
With that said, i noticed we do not have your timeline information. do you mind sharing?

I don't have a specific time range of how long it will take because it's treated individually... However, I received mine within 15 days after medicals was passed. You can go through @sillysassysally post on the tabulated statistics to find a more detailed guide. Hope this helps?...... |

Thanks Sir for your response. I'm considering using my mum's account statement with closing balance of 8.7m and my tuition fee and living expenses for a year is below 25000cad. Also, I have a million plus in my personal account and 2 plots of land that worth about N8million. With this, do you think I'm good to go without involving my uncle?? 8.7m after subtracting your tuition fees and LE for a year is considerably good to an extent but if your mum can up it to 10m above to be sufficiently solid, it would be better as these VOs assess respective applications by/with different circumstances. If your mum can't up the available funds, it will be advisable to get a cosponsor so your application won't be on the bases of an assumption of just LUCK. Good luck! 1 Like |

Don't restrict yourself to a particular institution. What program are you going for? You can check University of Regina and Winnipeg they are generally very fast in issuing admission letters to applicants provided your grades at high School are good.
Keep me updated as you progress Boss biko answer your brother o, I sent you an email Is self sponsorship advisable? If yes, how can I present the documents? I have a business registered two years ago and I use my personal account for transactions for the business |

I had the same fear too! Even started reading news about how they've denied entries in the past. I was also worried about customs giving me issues with my luggage. Surprisingly, all the person asked me was what school, what course and that was that. Even printed my account statement as POF sef just in case.
Ps. I'll advise anyone coming to book a flight with at least 3 or 4 hrs layover at the POE, because I missed my connecting flight and it was not funny at all. Had to spend 2days in Toronto before I got another flight to Winnipeg.
Hello, can we hook up on whatsapp please? I am coming to U of W this Fall 07066975486 |

Deane: Hello guys,
I'm about finalising my TRV application. While filling imm1294e, are funds in RSA to be calculated as part of the funds available or do I just stop at uploading the RSA statement in the proof of funds? That is, is the RSA funds to be reckoned in calculating the funds available?
@makano @justmellow @qudkom @austacus and other gurus, i really need your advice here guys. Thanks. No, its not calculated as part of your available funds for studies but rather it reflects more on the strength of your proof of funds. The RSA is more suitable to be use as a support to the reguar/commercial bank statement. Good luck! IbikunleBukky: i would like to know more about this *bolded*? ..that any additional document that is use to show/support the capacity of sufficient funds gives further strengthen and convincing to the proof of funds |
