@bolded How did you know your CSE was not attended to just because they had not replied you yet? On the webform page, CIC clearly indicated that they have an issue with their email response system and even when they do not reply yet, they get our CSE. How are we sure that it was not when they almost rejected you, they saw your CSE and put that into consideration. We do not know 100% what goes on behind the scenes, what we know is CIC is working even when they do not respond to us.

Let's even imagine the CSE made no difference in your case, people have confirmed here (and also on Canada Visa) that they got rejection because of not uploading ECA which you clearly saw in the CIC rejection response, which made you raise the CSE, so why would you then advise people to risk rejection just because yours was different or because you are trying to prove a point? Sometimes CIC might not explicitly request certain things, but we learn from people's rejection notices on what to avoid. For instance, for translated documents, there is no explicit requirement by CIC for people to upload the original foreign language document, yet they have rejected two applications of people I know personally because of that error, which made me upload mine. Would it be wise for me to then refuse to upload it just because CIC does not explicitly say so, even when the rejections were staring me in the face?

If you had not raised a CSE and still got to MEP/BIL stage, your claim would have been believable. But because there is a 50% percent chance that your CSE was considered without you knowing, you cannot say for sure that CIC does not require ECA. Let be careful when giving advice here, please.

johnnybravo1990:
Concerning the issue of whether uploading ECA is a must, maybe this will throw more light.
Just to refresh our minds, I didn't upload my ECA report when I submitted u application; I only uploaded my degree certificate. But as advised by people in this forum, I was to raise a CSE to add my ECA report, and I did all that, not minding that I had filled in my ECA details--ECA certificate number and date of issue of ECA report--when I submitted my application.
The CSE was raised for the ECA a week ago. However, I got my Medicals passed and biometrics requested just 2 days after the CSE and even completed my biometrics three days later, even when the CSE had not been attended to. The response for the CSE was just received some hours ago (1 day after
my biometrics completion), as seen in the picture below.
I think this should once and for all prove wrong the argument that uploading ECA in your application is compulsory to prevent application rejection by virtue of an incomplete application (R10 completeness check). I still maintain that the most important document for your proof of education is your uploaded degree certificate and ECA details being asked of; if ECA upload was vital for a complete application, I wouldn't have gotten Biometrics request.

I had completed my masters in the United States as of May 2018 and was torn between coming back to Nigeria and remaining in the US. A lot was at stake remaining in the US, one of which was the “arrangee marriage” thing (if you know you know) which I was not interested in.

Get ur employment letter, confirmation letter, promotion letter where applicable, 6 months pay stub or slip, office I’d card and u are good to go

Smart minds , please come to my rescue.

HR has changed his mind towards signing my Ref letter.

He now claims I should follow due process ,which is for me to apply through the Director Generals office before he can sign .

because the DG and some Directors will sign my request for a reference letter before HR can now sign the reference letter

This process will make my application "news" to the whole organization as it would pass from office to office in the admin section. although I can say I am applying for a visit and need reference letter.
That still won't change the fact that the whole office will know am applying to either visit /migrate to Canada.

please what suggestion can the house offer , can I just ask a director from a different dept sign it for me ? to avoid the plans been on the gossip News @9am in the office

The GIST:
.
I started my Relocation journey in 2016 because I desperately wanted to go meet my ex in Canada! I later found out he was cheating on me! Lol it’s actually funny now but that’s what prompted it (let me not lie).
Applied to numerous schools and gained admission but my study permit application was refused in October. It pained me to my marrow!! I was like “God whyyyyy my baby is going to leave me”( mumu me instead of me to face front).

I was on the study permit thread back then and ppl were always whispering about express entry but I was too lazy but THANK GOD my application was refused. It forced me to try this route. Well as you can presume my head became correct after my study permit refusal and I ended that relationship!

MY EE journey:
I read the first three threads from beginning to the end( so put in the work guys).
In November 2017, I applied for my transcript to be sent to IQAS and started preparing for IELTS.
I gave myself 3 months to prepare for IELTS which was the same time it would take for my IQAS evaluation to be ready!

IQAS came through in January as expected! I posted about the process before!
My first IELTS was in March with BC and it was a really good exam but writing messed it up( wrote about it too before pls check my posts). I applied for remark but it came back negative! I was so drained and sad but I couldn’t give up cause now I had to get this done!
Wrote my second IELTS with MOD on 7/7/2018( a very significant date in my life) and held on to God’s promises!
Results came out and I passed LRSW: 8.5/8.5/8/7 —- 20/7/2018
Entered the pool: 23/07/2018 (score 472 or so)
ITA: 25/7/2018
I had been gathering my documents before my ITA and I had most of the documents ready.
ALMIGHTY POF was not even complete! Someone had promised me but suddenly couldn’t help me anymore I was so distraught I fell sick for the first time in years! But thank God for awesome destiny helpers and partners that I’ve as friends! Mehn they came through and if you guys read this I love you from the bottom of my heart !! Thank you!!!
.
Most of the money came in trickles so I made sure I put it in a different account, then had it transferred to my POF account (salary account) and did a deed gift just to avoid too many explanation!
.
PCC: Inspector Fatai (N3,500 got his number from here)
MEDICALS : QLIFE was a breeze
Reference letters : In cic format I claimed 3 years (2years n Nysc I waited till this time so I could max out)
Finally submitted - 29/08/2018... got AOR same day!
Medicals passed : 29/9/18
Biometrics: 29/9/18
First ppr : 31/01/2019
No adrs. I called cic and found out it was processed in Ottawa..
.
Ppr 2.0
Anyways, sometime during my express entry hustle, I had met someone new ( as per hot cake) and introduced him to this express entry palava. We started dating in the middle of all express entry tutorial*lol*
Long story short, while I was busy struggling fr ppr Mail ;This uncle was busy planning proposal with my family members.
So that’s how I got engaged and got ppr....
So we decided to just do the wedding abeg and leave Nigeria together. Can’t be waiting for 1 yeye ppr Mail again!!!
.
So I notified cic of the wedding before the wedding! I think this was a very smart move cause I even got my adr for inclusion of spouse documents before I got married!
We got married in Ikoyi and submitted the documents! Updated pof and paid rprf n app fee! That’s how cic carried my file to AVO I was scared and confused cause I had heard stories about AVO! I was already thinking I’d spend another 6months again but I kept on using @threadstone’s timeline as my point of reference to God that I wanted my ppr in 4weeks!!
.
11 days after submitting still no Spouse uci so i decided to raise a CSE let it not be that they didn’t see my file.
After that it seems the visa officer just entered fast forward mode cause in 29 days after adding and submitting my spouse documents we got our ppr 2.0!!!

I’m so ecstatic cause our application had lots of k-leg, visa refusals but I made sure i did the following:
1. I created a folder for each document so I don’t make mistake.
2. Had a cover page and table of content for both mine and my spouse documents.
3. Uploaded schedule A upfront for his UK n US refusals n my study permit refusal.
4. Wrote letters of explanation for cash payments and highlighted all salary and cash payments.
5. Made sure my online presence and my application was in tandem!
6. Prayed a lot and made sure I was consistent!
The waiting period is long but totally worth it!
Special thanks to Seun for Nairaland, the moderators of this thread, AVO group y’all are amazing, my darling Nairaland friend @austinpee thank you so much for always listening to my rants, the predecessor @threadstone for answering my questions and paving the way, my darling friends and before I forget my ex (for being a cheat cause if not for you I won’t even have considered relocating) behind every disappointment there’s a blessing after all. I’m petty I know lmao grin

In conclusion, this route will test your patience, faith and sanity but the feeling is amazing! No application is the same but don’t lie! Be honest and meticulous. If you make a mistake notify CIc immediately! It will all end in praise!

The least requirements for the exam? A valid international passport and money for registration (value depending on the administering body. Oh! And preparation.
Pass mark to qualify for Canadian express entry is band 6 (I think) across board. However, prepare to get bands 8777 in LWRS respectively as this has been observed to do wonders in catapulting CRS points for express entry.

Dear johnnybravo1990, I don't think anyone has insisted uploading ECA (or IELTS) certificate/report is a must. Yes, IRCC doesn't specifically ask for it, but it is advised.
Let's not forget that for education, the prerequisite is Canadian degrees (or their equivalent) so I think it goes without saying that for education placeholder, you upload proofs of an education that has Canadian equivalency, ergo uploading with the ECA report, together with proof of English understanding.
I believe the request for ECA report number and IELTS TRF number at the point of profile creation is just to confirm that you actually have done it since they know how it should look like.

Your referral to the R10 check would make me also address the post by @ladymarshall wrt police certificate.

To the best of my knowledge, the R10 check is just to check that documents in the placeholders are complete and possibly cross off the document checklist. It's like a cursory glance to ensure documents are complete. "Oh, is there a degree certificate as claimed? Check. Is there an identification document or utility bill as claimed for sibling? Check.
The validity, authenticity and eligibility of each document is still checked by the visa officer after R10 is done.

Even if one isn't expected to upload ECA/IELTS reports, if the visa officer attending to your file wasn't listening well at training and is used to seeing ECA and IELTS uploads, bro, he won't remember or bother going to check the point where the report numbers were written.

Better safe than sorry.

Hello all, I've been in the road the past couple of days. I need to make an enquiry on something. How does this Wes evaluation work. My Wes profile showed they received my documents on 18th april. On 25th, profile was updated and I got a mail same date saying they've sent a message to my institution via courier and electronic mail.

I tried following up with my school, but couple of people I asked did they were not aware of such. I checked my Wes profile ystday and discovered profile was last updated 30thapril. However, it still shows "application in progress". Could it be they've gotten a reply from my uni?
