OB411: Please when did you submit your passport initially? I thought submission of passport is after medicals? Kindly enlighten me. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by OB411(m): 7:17pm On May 08, 2019 |
Ishaq96: When I put in the application I submitted all supporting documents along side my Int'l passport. I think its different for online application, mine was paper route. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by guzenaira: 7:20pm On May 08, 2019 |
hiambenson: Travel history is not the issue. That 8m is too small for self sponsor. After tuition and living expenses, fight and the rest. what will you have left in that 8m? If you have a family that depends on you, what is your plan for them aside the 8m. If you can’t increase that money in your account convincingly, try to look for a co sponsor. |

guzenaira:Okay. Thanks a lot |

Unfortunately my sister's application was refused this afternoon |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Chukwuemekatehi(m): 7:53pm On May 08, 2019 |
When did you apply? hiambenson: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hiambenson: 8:02pm On May 08, 2019 |
guzenaira: I will increase the money in my account to 10m or thereabout. I've also made tuition deposit. I just ordered for GCMS but the one month period seems to be too far if I must say considering my resumption date. Do you think I should just increase the funds in my account and reapply without waiting for the GCMS note? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hiambenson: 8:03pm On May 08, 2019 |
Chukwuemekatehi: March 13th, bro. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by kcosam: 8:08pm On May 08, 2019 |
hiambenson:So sorry about the refusal. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hiambenson: 8:15pm On May 08, 2019 |
guzenaira: I also have a 4 unit of 2 bedroom flats house which is nearing completion but I didn't add it as proof of funds because it's not fully ready to be occupied by tenants. Do you think I should have also added this? If yes, what purpose will it serve since it has only been roofed and not fully ready for tenants to start residing in it? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by guzenaira: 8:20pm On May 08, 2019 |
hiambenson: There maybe other things in the gcms note that we couldn’t see right now. If you do without seeing the notes, then thats a gamble. But if you really want to gamble, then let me advice you. Make sure your SOA final balance covers your total tuition, you living expenses, flight itenery and a very good sufficient balance left. If you don’t have any dependants, good for you. But if you have, make provisions for all of them and explain it in your SOP. Bros, on this same thread, I saw someone who applied and had just purpose of visit. He applied again with gcms with the other things he did the 1st time and got purpose of visit and some other refusal. Yet we have some that reapplied and got it straight. The ball is in your court, work on your SOA and explain what you did differently in the new application and I believe you should get it. All will surely be fine. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by guzenaira: 8:26pm On May 08, 2019 |
hiambenson: I think there is a guy on this thread called frank; in one of his post he highlighted all the refusal reasons and how to tackle them. If you see the gcms notes, you can really ascertain what the VO want since personal assets and financial status comes together. It could be either of the two or both. That’s why the gcms is good but since you want to gamble, work on the two aspect convincingly and I believe it will work out well. So you can include it in your next application. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Mudicua: 8:27pm On May 08, 2019 |
So sorry about this. Order your GCMS notes and see what went wrong and try again. If you are self sponsored, I think 8m is a wee bit low for tuition, living expenses combined. Also what course were you going for? Kindly share your timeline, and what you were going to study and let's see how the house can help. Keep the faith... it will end in praise. hiambenson: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Mudicua: 8:35pm On May 08, 2019 |
It is good you have ordered your GCMS notes right away, I will suggest that while waiting start to gather your documents to address the things being stated as reasons for the denial. Then start to work on your SOP... build it within this period of waiting. As for increasing your money in the account, do you think 10m is okay? Why don't you add a sponsor as advised by someone earlier. It may go a long way to help. I know you did not say anything about home ties, hence I believe that is strong for you. Hence if you have a family, how do you prove they will be catered for while you are in Canada. (I am assuming you are male) If you feel you cannot wait for The GCMS notes, then yu can reapply, so long as you think you can fully address everything raised in the refusal letter. Keep the faith... hiambenson: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hiambenson: 8:36pm On May 08, 2019 |
guzenaira: Many thanks, guzenaira. I think it would be better for me to wait for my GCMS notes but I'm only bothered by the timeframe involved and the time I have left to reapply for Fall 19. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hiambenson: 8:43pm On May 08, 2019 |
Mudicua: Thank you, Mudica. I'm a married young man in his late 20's with a son like you presumed. So yes, I've got a strong hometie because I don't intend to take my family right away. I think I'll need to wait for the gcms notes like you and guzenaira suggested. The 8m really covered the cost of my one year PGC study including the 10k living expenses. I think I need to show more funds and also indicate in my LOE that my wife will be handling my business while I'm out of the country. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by guzenaira: 8:44pm On May 08, 2019 |
hiambenson: You are welcome, I believe you have ordered for the note already. On this application, there is no time wasting. Even Canada is a country whereby 24hrs is not even enough for you but you will definitely enjoy everything and every penny spent. Don’t take chances, don’t waste time and don’t rush. You will succeed my brother. 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Mudicua: 9:03pm On May 08, 2019 |
Your property can serve as an asset. I believe you can add it to show as asset. And then you can also mention it on your SOP as a future proof of funds since you will be letting it out within the shortest possible time after completion. You can further explain using a timeline (For instance: at the moment, the property has been roofed, and in the next couple of months electrical and plumbing fixtures will be placed in the apartments, then painting and finishing will commence shortly after) something like this. I have noticed that these VOs like explanations with timelines and dates. Shows you are on top of your game. Anyways the decision lies with you eventually. Keep the faith... It will end in praise hiambenson: |

Go on google. There are different ones. I used CAIPS. When you google just type order GCMS notes and you will see options. Open each, read their offers an d make your choice. wealthmiq: |
