privaldo: I wouldn't have made that assertion if I hadn't read any of her books and in fact, I've read 3 of her books. She writes for the mainstream, and she's receiving this much attention because she promotes their agenda, nothing really special about her works. 2 Likes |

education is gradually fading away. Even the ones who went to good schools were they pay huge amount of money for tuition, still have nothing to offer. After Chimamanda Adechie, and some few who are making us proud, who can we look to as the next icons of greatness in this field ? And Hope You Remember Clearly That Gone Are The Days When Good Jobs Would Be Patiently Waiting for A Secondary School Under-graduate. Gone Are The Days When Education Give 95% Assurance Of At Least Moderate Standard Of Living. Gone Are The Days When Concrete Priority Is Put In The Educational Sector. God Are The Days When Teachers Are Appointed Based On Meritocracy And Not Mediocrity. The List Goes On And On. So What Are You Talking About? |

ekestic1976: And the picture was in 1988??. So after the accident in 1987 that he got paralyzed, he was still walking in 1988 as could be seen in the picture. What I read about his life was that the accident happened in 1991 on his way to his home town of Ogidi in Anambra State. |

ekestic1976: You may be correct as I was a teen then. To make this assertion confidently, I don't have any cause to doubt you. May be the article I read it before may not be actually correct. Just to correct your post, he did not die in the accident. He suffered a serious spinal cord injury that resulted in him been unable to work again. I think he died in the early 2000 during the Obasanjo time. Thank you. |

Focusmind: Thanks, he certainly didn't die in the accident - that's a slip. But HE DIED IN IN 1987: I'm SURE of this. So it wasn't during Obasanjo presidency. Know why I'm so sure? It was in the same year that Awolowo died. |
