Just felt like I should share this here. I didn’t even know about this US student thread when I went for my interview. My first one was late last year which didn’t go well surprisingly. I was hardly asked any question and those that went before me were all rejected aside like 3 people which were of old age. Then went again January and it went well but I was given d wrong bank statement so when d vo asked for it and said there wasn’t enough in it I was really schoked. I didn’t let it put me down. I Picked my self up and applied for a Canadian student visa d following month. Well I got approved yesterday and picked my passport with d visa in it today.

Do not give up and if u know A doesn’t work for u try B. I wish those applying a successful interview.

I'm required to fill in my first name and last with a new password but it keeps bouncing back. I filled my names as they appear on my international passport.
I have used different gadgets for this process but I'm getting the same result
I don't know if this problem is from their site or from me.
What else can I do?

No shame in it bro, everyone on this this thread have had their fair share of "gerrout n Fu*k Off U only need one admit anyways.

In some cases, if a school gives u admission n do not give u funding, it's a subtle art of saying "get d FU*K OFF MY LOT." Gather for selfie � if u belong hia.

Applying to more schools kind of show u are serious about your education, it's an advantage n not a disadvantage in my opinion.

A mail was sent to me which contained a link to filling a form for my i20 which I did immediately. when applying in March, I submitted my dad's bank statement to the schoo which covered for Dec 2018 to March 2019. I got a mail from the school last night insisting I submit statement from 3 most recent months I.e Feb, March and April/May. My dad has been out of the country hence I cant get his bank statement. I want to know if it's okay to use my mom's bank statement since she is around. I plan to mail the school informing them of change in sponsor before they issue me form i20.


Please I need suggestions or advice before I take the above steps. Thank you all

Congratulations on your admission my friend.
ETSU takes the financial statement seriously, like they are really strict about it but they are also very understanding. You have two options.
1) Even if your dad is out of the country, he can always request an online bank statement. All my sponsor had to do was call her account officer and request the SOA be sent to MY email address in PDF. I forwarded the document as received. END OF STORY.
2) You should be able to change your sponsor. That means you would have to complete another affidavit of support form and your mum has to append her signature.
A note of caution: your I-20 will contain your sponsor's name, as in it will be boldly written on it! You can't change it after that. So please take time and consider your options because of your visa interview( between your mum and your dad, who has more financial credibility in the long run)
