There is no specific pages an SOP should follow, provided that the information in the letter is well analyzed, coherent and concise it's acceptable. You can use computer terminologies but, also make sure the reader (the VO) understands the information you're passing across.

Bless up Frank. Noted, I ll try and simplify as best as possible

Wow!
I am wont to agree with you that some of these VOs do whatever they like.

chibertha:
Your perception is correct take my refusal case for instance
in the refusal letter the Vo checked
- purpose of visit
- current employment situation

I was confused about the first then the second I just thought it was because I was placed on redundancy since we just finished a project.

But how wrong I was when I got the GCMS note I saw

After a review of the application and supporting documents provided, programme of study does not appear to be consistent with previous education and employment history.

meanwhile
My degree is Civil engineering Public Health /Environmental Engineering Option
I was a waste water and water treatment plant trainee Engineer.
I have been working as Health Safety and Environment, officer, supervisor, coordinator and Engineer at different times

I have certificates for treatment of oil-contaminated water and soil from The Netherlands
Hazardous wastes management from The Netherlands too
Diploma in QA and QC from India

In my almost all my roles which my CV covered I oversee that the plant effluent is consistent to WHO and Nigeria standards

I just knew the person did not do a good job

Meanwhile, the application was received and rejected the same day.

Note the course I applied for was and is still Water Quality it has an aspect of design which was lacking in my first degree years
the main reason I am going for it is to enable me to be able to easily do modifications and design components for Upgrading of existing plants where I work.

My dear, they do whatever they like.

Hi Dear,

I'm not sure what you mean by temporary residence form. The three forms i filled includes;
1. Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294)
2. Family Information (IMM5645)
3. Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside Canada (IMM 5257)

obainojazz:
Hi, did you fill any temporary residence form

Hello house!

Is there any downside to writing a SOP of 3 and half pages? If no, is there any downside as well using computer terminologies to show understanding of your chosen discipline?

I tried making it as concise as possible but new information keep popping up.

Justmellow? Qudkom? Anyone??

Thanks.
Hi, kindly follow franks advice.

Hello Sillysassysally,

Hahahahahaha grin grin @ the word Spy. You really made good use of the advices that was given to you. I can recall brilliantly how nervous you were about the prodigy loan you secured (the chances of securing a visa with loans), your school resumption date that was getting too close and the upfront medical report (that was yet to be updated on your MyCIC account) etc.... I am so so happy for you that it worked out positively in the long run. Congratulations once again on your crowning achievement. I am extremely delighted to be in the context of your TRV success story.

Congratulations to all those that have gotten their TRV and to those that were rejected, don't give up, restrategize and refire.

Thanks to the ABLE GENTS AND LADIES that have taken their precious time despite their busy schedules in answering and proferring solutions to questions pasted on this honourable platform. God bless you all for the awesome and selfless works you guys have been doing here. cool I shall be here from time to time to contribute my quota for the benefit of others.

It shall end in praises for everyone viewing this topic.

Gurus in the house, pls what does it mean " that your study permit application is a non routine application"
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Mudicua: 7:04pm On May 10, 2019
Hello everyone,

I hope we are pushing small small...
I rarely post here, I am more of a reader than a contributor... cheesy
I try to share what i know from time to time, but I hail the masters who take time each day to help all of us in this forum.

I just wanted to put this here as words of encouragement to TRV hopefuls... and to myself!! wink wink

1. Let us hang in there.
2. Hold on to our faith, and doubt our doubts rather than our faith. It is okay to fear, and be worried about our applications, but hold your faith.
3. Have a positive mindset...(even if it does not work out as we want) keep positive energy and aura around your person.
4. Do not be at a standstill. Try to keep updating yourself and your application. From some of the things I have read, and seen from others' experiences, these VOs do not expect your life to be on a hold.

 For instance, were you unemployed prior to submitting your application, and waiting for over 3 months for a response from IRCC, (it might be hard) but look for a job or an internship and upload your employment or internship letter on the webform.
 Has your financial status changed? Update your application with the new info.

While waiting let's get busy.
Finally keep knocking on IRCC door/website via emails.

One thing this study permit experience has taught and is still teaching me is patience... grin cheesy jeez, I am learning to wait, and not just to wait with pain, but to wait with joy, faith and hope.
Another thing I have learnt is acknowledging some things are not within my circle of influence and power. I can only do what I have done and still doing to update my application, but that is it. I cannot do more. I can only hope those who have the power over my application be filled with favor towards it.

Do not forget to pray. Always pray, do not stop.
Irrespective of your religious belief... Pray to your God, and surely answers will come.

Shalom!

Thank you so much i just saw this. I will as advised.

Hello Olaola17,
Please I have a similar case like yours. My SP application was refused on the same grounds like yours yesterday night after receiving Biometrics validity letter a day before.
I have been looking for the advice/guidance provided by the good people in the house, please how do I get/look for this. Also on the GCMS notes, how did you request for yours?

Please I’m so mad now how can I do it... I want to pay tuition fees and the school emailed me that I can’t make a payment until I select and register my courses, and before I do that, I have to select an adviser who I will contact either my call, email or Skype to book a date that I will select the courses. Now I have selected an adviser and she gave me date which is on 6th next month, school is September now and I have less than 3 months now. Please gurus in the house advise me on what to do now I cant sleep again my heart is heavy. I’m thinking of submitting the visa app next week without tuition payment
I think you can go ahead and submit your study permit application. But make sure you have enough money in your account to show you can pay school fees and other expenses.

It has always been my pleasure to assist others regardless of the contingent motivator (monetary benefit)..... As my profile reads....... BE GOOD TO PEOPLE FOR NO REASON..... I would earnestly be looking forward to seeing more of you on this window especially for the role you've taken up by consistently uploading and updating the names of TRV hopefuls. I also got this biometric correspondence mail on Monday 6th may, I have not done medical or even get request. So since I started seeing people complain that they are getting refusal letters few hours or days after BCM. I told God to take control and let his will be done because am powerless but I depend on him all my life. Am yet to receive any other mail from CIC.
But I have sent mail once since Monday telling them process my application because my resumption date has passed.
Please any advice from gurus here.

From experience here, some applicants have gotten their TRV without paying a dim to the school. So I believe u can submit ur application without paying for tuition, u just need to convince the VO with proof that u can fund ur study and ur living expense in Canada.

Police Character Certificate goes for 5K at Alagbon Police CID headquarters Ikoyi, Lagos. When you get there ask of Inspector Bami. He will assist you in getting the certificate sorted out within 30 minutes.

I hope this helps to future applicants seeking for police Character Certificate.

Then you attended a good school. In my school it was typed on four sheets of A4 paper, and it included the registrar's stamp where required. Daz all.

This is very unusual because in my school your transcript is in a booklet with your graduation class.

Since your application was processed in Nairobi, then it should be Nairobi. for the comment section, I honestly don't have idea because I have never filled one before, but u can go to the page 440 I referred you to and chat the person that did his own already or perhaps the good people in the house can also guide you on what to fill in there.

All things being equal, I will repay the funds you paid in excess to the officer by responding to all your upcoming concerns. I hope that would be fine as a substitute? cheesy

If your school isn't on the list, then you PROBABLY cannot apply. If it's all the same to you, look through the website meticulously and you may find clarification.

Good luck.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bracha: 8:50pm On May 10, 2019
If this is about ordering your GCMS note, please note that you cannot do it by yourself because it requires someone with either a Permanent Resident (PR) status or a citizenship status to make the application. This means that you have to be a citizen or a PR to apply for GCMS note.

However, there are websites which do it for you, for a higher fee, please use Google. Conversely, if you have someone in Canada who is a citizen or a PR you could give that person permission to apply on your behalf.
