shantelleasante: It is an optional form. Nonetheless, there is no harm filling it when submitting your application. |

sillysassysally:Thanks for your response. However, is advisable to send the new admission letter to CIC immediately? Or should wait until decision is made? Also must attach together CAQ and new admission letter together before sending or can I send only the new admission letter while waiting for CAQ to come then send it. |

To be honest, i am not the best person to give this kinda advise as i am not well informed regarding this. You could ask this question on quora or canada visa... Or better still, you could send your inquiry and/or call/mail Immigration Qubec or IRCC. Anamekele: |

Please guys i have a question to ask. When your delay is because of academic progression issues, is it advisable to apply for a new program related to your first degree program or just try to explain why you have decided to change career even though you have no work experience. Secondly I'm thinking if you change the program to one more aligned with your first degree, won't a VO be wondering why the change of program within months and feel you do not have genuine intentions for study? |

Imagine losing a whole 4 or 5 years of someone's work/life, with no one to hold accountable. This country is something else. chibertha: |

This is what is in the offer letter @kcosam Dear Johnson: Congratulations! The International Enrolment Services Office is pleased to inform you that you have gained admission to the University of Regina. This letter is for submission for your study permit; please ensure to keep a copy for your records. International students on a study permit are required to pay a $500 tuition deposit upon acceptance of admission. Once payment is made, a receipt will be provided that can be included with your study permit application. |

Hi, please did U of Waterloo give you funding - scholarship funding or Graduate Assistantship - for this course? Also, did you take an English language test when applying or was it waived? Martbills: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by kcosam: 3:55pm On May 11, 2019 |
johnsonlawson89:This is unconditional offer letter which means you already sent your official transcript to them. However, someone that got offer for Master's in public admin was not asked to pay the $500 deposit, which was why asked about the course you applied for, perhaps it could be a departmental/faculty thing. |

The same way, BUT there's a part in one of the sections where you're asked if you have to work while schooling, you'll need to tick 'Yes' there. Don't worry, when you go through the form, you'll see what I'm talking about. You may also need to give evidence when you tick 'yes'; an example of such an evidence would be a letter from the school stating that your course has a co-op option. Thaiwohuthy: 1 Like |

Hello, I have been accepted into humber for a one year certificate course. My problem now is my proof of funds, I am currently employed but dont have the tuition 10k + 10k(survival funds) =20k saved up and I was thinking about a personal loan, I cant get educational because I'm not doing a degree) I have two options: 1.Apply for the loan myself at the bank and have my brother cosign.(he will pay the monthly installments for me), maybe he can write a letter for immigration stating that he shall pay the installments until i return from my studies) 2. have my brother take the loan and then transfer + gift deed it to me. my brother has less than 10k in his savings and like me doesnt have assets so the loan is my only option. Thanks. |

It still beats my imagination How possible this is anyway, because every semester result is sent to the Senate for approval in a spreadsheet. It simply means her entire class result is missing. Bracha: |

johnsonlawson89:Paying the nonrefundable deposit is a risk you would have to take considering the bigger thing you will achieve if everything goes well with ur TRV application. Most schools request for this deposit, some even request as high as $2,000cad tuition deposit (with good refund policy though). Again I think it's probably because u applied for a business course, because like I said earlier someone got offer in pub admin in the same school without request for a deposit. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by johnsonlawson89: 5:44pm On May 11, 2019 |
@kocasm....I understand, will it affect my study permit application at the Canadian Embassy if i don't include my Deposit receipt when i submit all my documents? Because a lot of people don't even do a deposit and they still get their TRV. Keen to hear from you. Thanks |

mslug:Why not get a sponsor or co sponsor with a strong SOA. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by kcosam: 6:03pm On May 11, 2019 |
johnsonlawson89:Some schools or department/faculty may not request for that, as such the applicant don't need to pay or include deposit receipt in their TRV application. If the nonrefundable deposit is stated on your offer letter which you meant to include in your visa application documents, the VO might be expecting to see a receipt from the school for that payment. However, if you want to take the risk of submitting visa application without making the compulsory nonrefundable deposit to the school is up to you to decide. |

My sister/brother/ friend paid the 500$...I guess it's a new process in U of R.....my sis got accepted in health, my brother business administration and my friend masters in French language they were all accepted in April. When was your friend accepted in U of R? kcosam: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by kcosam: 6:34pm On May 11, 2019 |
johnsonlawson89:I understand your fear of losing $500cad if you fail to secure TRV, but university of Regina admission offer usually last for one year and so is the validity of the nonrefundable deposit, so even if you didn't get ur TRV at the first attempt (God forbid), u can always reapply again and again within the one year admission offer period until u succeed, all u need to do is to defer the admission base on visa delay. 1 Like |
