MATTHEWS 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.

Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats

And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
I was naked and you clothed me,
I was sick and you visited me,
I was in prison and you came to me.’

37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,[a] you did it to me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food,
I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me,
naked and you did not clothe me,
sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’

44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’
45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’

And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life

IF JESUS IS WRONG, PLEASE CORRECT ME

"Once saved, forever safe."
This is unscriptural.
Beware of Tares, false prophets and Grace abusers.
This has made Christians remain comfortable as lone-rangers, bench-warmers, onlookers, babes in the Faith and rebellious believers. Christians have become comfortable in sin and have become the ones establishing corruption and the kingdom of unrighteousness even worse than unbelievers.

Notable believers who lost their salvation;
King Saul in the Old Testament.
Judas Iscariot right under Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Himself.
Ananias and Sapphira in the New Testament struck dead by the Holy Spirit Himself.

We are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. We are to guard our salvation with all diligence.

Christ never said we're saved for ever just for believing in him, for demons do too but are not saved. He said, if we love him, we should keep his commands. He said, if judgement comes, will He find Faith? He said people will stray away from the Faith, unbelief will spread even among believers who will fall for false prophets.
Even Apostle Paul never said Grace saves anyone for ever because even He said He was fighting the good fight of Faith, to take hold of eternal life.

The precious blood of Jesus saves all who believe in Christ from being unbelievers and from living a disconnected life from God. Truly Christ refers to unbelievers as the dead, because to be carnal is death.- 1st stage of Salvation.

Discipleship; Learning of Christ. Obedience and Faith in the Words of Christ keeps us Saved. We start growing in the Likeness of Christ, bearing His Fruit and His Nature. We start doing greater works like Christ did winning souls, healing the sick, casting out demons, finding our place in ministry and establishing God's Kingdom on earth etc- 2nd Stage of Salvation.

When we die or are raptured, would it meet us still faithful and doing the works of Christ, keeping our Faith even in the face of Death?- Final stage of Salvation.

You're one of the reasons behind my having had to renounce Christianity over a decade ago - but not in the way you would most probably take it to be. For, had I come across more Christians then that spoke the way you have, I just may not have renounced that particular path to GOD. And the truth behind my words can be seen in that most of the reactions to thy post have been against the truth in it.

I won't say much more, but - if the vast majority of Christendom continues to believe that Christ has done everything for them, and thus they have nothing more to do but continue to plead the blood of Jesus for every and even pre-determined misdemeanours - then I doubt that GOD can ever be with Christianity again.

Keep up the good work. And do try to inculcate it in thy daily living as well.

Cheers .

With all sincerity, the op needs intensive bible investigation..
Our God is "agbanilagbatan" (ie One who Saves completely)
If God ever saved you, it's eternally. It can't be changed.

The doctrine of partial salvation is an assumption of men, and it impugns the integrity of the great God.. Sincerely, I don't think an atheist if he will ever imagine God, should from his highest folly utter such.

I'll leave with an OT verse

*[[Psa 125:1-3/KJV]]* %v 1% They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. %v 2% As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. %v 3% For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

When you turn scriptures meant for salvation into beggarly, paltry, asinine trivialities and ephemerals, eternal insecurity is what you get enslaved to

What's the meaning of this? Are you are gatherer or a scatterer? Even if you feel they preach false doctrines, why slander them? Have you attended all these churches to verify that they are of the devil? What matters is that Christ is preached. This should be your attitude, like Paul

Philippians 1:15-18 New International Version (NIV)
15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

So sorry about the incidence ma/sir.. This is one of what false doctrines do.
From your statement "renounce Christianity" , I knew you're coming from an erroneous premise.. If you don't mind, I can recommend podcasts to listen to, facebook friends to add up and pages to follow..
It's obvious some light on salvation needs to be shed.

You don't "renounce" salvation.
Salvation is not a contractual agreement you had with God. This is where most persons miss it.
The covenant was between God and His Son Jesus, not you. Jesus came and met the terms of the covenant and has sealed it. Where we come in is as an heir.. Salvation is an inheritance for us thru Jesus Christ.

4. Rom 8:17 KJVLite And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

7. Gal 3:29 KJVLite And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

8. Eph 3:6 KJVLite That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

9. Tit 3:7 KJVLite That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

We are not a party in salvation: we are heirs/beneficiaries. The one who has the power to "renounce" (if there's any word like that) has to be the parties.

"I renounce my salvation" for one who is truly saved is like this
*[[1Co 12:15]] KJV* If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

If my hand should say it is not part of me, would that mean it is not part of me?
If your son says he is renouncing you, will that change his DNA automatically?

When you come into God thru Christ, you're into an eternal union. Of course, such an individual is expected to bring forth fruits of righteousness. Fruit bearing only comes after salvation, not before

Many sincere Christians believe in the doctrine of partial salvation. They actually reinterprete the scriptures to say:

By works you have been saved through Faith...it is not of yourselves not by grace that we might all be able to boast

So what are you saying... That once you become a christian by faith.... You can continue sinning and wont loose grace?
Completely wrong..even though that's what you keep hearing.

Anyone who claims to be Born Again and continues in sin has probably never ever even known Christ. No matter how "pastorale" he looks.

The physical evidence of salvation is "living for Christ/living like Christ).

Answer: known to God best, however sin does diminishes our relationship with God and enhances it with the devil. Thereby we of our own free will to sin, drift away from his grace.
Of course. He who continues in sin is NOT of Christ in the first place.

No need arguing scriptures to prove "once saved forevea saved "is far from the real true meaning of what grace means.
The scripture is so balanced in such a way that u can actually get loads of scriptural references to buttress ur error and misconceptions.
If ones salvation can not be lost, my brother live ur life anyhw as u like besides u are now forever saved. SELAH

I think pressplay411 needs to read and digest John 3:16 again. Believing on Jesus gives us EVERLASTING life. Without revelation, common English tells us that something everlasting means it will last forever. This is the message some self righteous folks didn't want us to see cos they felt it was too good to be true- well, that is actually the direct greek translation of the word GOSPEL- It means too good to be true a news- and that's why many people can't accept it because it doesn't make sense to the rational mind.

See Hebrews 9:12 in NLT: Once for all time he took blood into that Most Holy Place, but not the blood of goats and calves. He took his own blood, and with it he secured our salvation forever.

Saying that the blood of Jesus is not enough to secure eternal salvation is simply equating it to the blood of bulls and goats.

Let me categorically say this: The ONLY way you lose your salvation is the same way you received it: by believing. So until you get to the place where you stop believing on the Lord Jesus in your heartand even speak it with your mouth that He no longer raised from the dead, until then.

So let's be guided what we read and share online
Some Christians underestimate the power of God or the power of the sacrifice and atonement God did for mankind.

Remember we will give account for the word we speak. Salvation is not a licence to sin. Christ has done the work we are to act accordingly in faith because of the salvation we have received. If we sin we ask for forgiveness and have Christ as our advocate. One can not be saved and be comfortable living a sinful lifestyle because Christ paid the price. God gave man free will. We can receive salvation and we can also reject it. I will advise you to read the whole of 2 Peter chapter 2 for better understanding. I feel the statement "once saved, forever saved" can be easily misinterpreted, it should be "once save, walk in the spirit, act as one who is saved, go and sin no more etc"

2Peter 2:20-22
20 If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21 It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.
Re: "Once Saved, Forever Saved": Wrong And Unscriptural! by Nobody: 1:09pm On May 12, 2019
I believe no sin can separate me from the love of God. Even if I dwell in the flesh I believe that he that is in me will be able to make me live above sin because his grace is ever sufficient and I have been crucified with Christ.
Since sin is not part of God's system, I also believe it wI'll not be part of my system too, because he that is joined with Christ is of one Spirit.
Under grace I live the life of Christ Jesus because that is the meaning of grace, I can't find pleasure in sin because sin is no longer my master, and even if I sin I will say sorry because I got conscience and more especially I have an advocate; Jesus Christ who is the propitiation of all my sins.
The wages of sin is death! But can death separate me from the love of God? No, never!
I am saved by grace and not good works. If grace saves me then grace will keep me to the end by his faith working in me and through me.

By the time you begin to throw questions to those against this great doctrine of salvation they will start hopping up and down like a wounded grasshopper. They will skip the question and hastily throw forth another useless post to sponsor their wrong facts or in another way misinterpret the scripture and post it here.
Those against this doctrine of "Once saved forever saved" should answer this question;
1.When can a believer lose his salvation?
2. What can separate us from the love of God? I know you will say sin, but the wages of sin is death. So can death separate us from the love of God?
Re: "Once Saved, Forever Saved": Wrong And Unscriptural! by Nobody: 1:30pm On May 12, 2019
The doctrine of GRACE is not license to sin. If you find pleasures in sin is either you heard or hearing GRASS MESSAGE or you are simply not Born Again.
Grace will make you hate sin, Grace will make you cry for repentance even when you sin, Grace will make you not to find comfort in sin, Grace will make you desire more of God, Grace will make you desire the Salvation of the world and not looking for unbelievers that will go to hell or not, Grace will make you pray for that brother or sister struggling with sin and not WAIT FOR THEM TO LOSE THEIR SALVATION. By Grace we have been saved and by Grace we are eternally saved whether you choose to like it or not.

1.) I don't think there is any place in the bible where it is literally written that once saved is forever saved. Christ has done the work, it is left to us to choose to accept salvation or reject salvation.

2.) Remember that there are two kinds of the death. There is the physical death and there is the second death. The death that Paul talked about that cannot seperate us from the love of God is likely the physical death. He said

Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or unclothedness, or peril, or sword?

As you can see from the above scripture, all these can be attributed to the physical as in being killed by the sword

The wages of sin is the second death as you can see in the scripture below

Revelation 21:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Remember also that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus. Paul was not referring to physical life here on earth
If you have any more questions, you can ask. Once saved, walk in the Spirit.

Why is so hard to believe that your salvation is eternal. Jesus did a complete work.

Even Jn. 3:16 says you have eternal security.

You believe that Christ only saved us halfway! Is this the scripture?
Wow. I saw this, and I just blessed God for people who still cherish sound doctrine. Thumbs up

I guess some Christians don't know that God will judge us Christians according to our Faithfulness!

Some will build with Gold, Silver and precious stone while some Christians will build with grass and hay. Some peoples works would be burnt as by fire. Everyone will reap what he has sowed.

God is not mocked!
True. Believes will be judged according to their works FOR THE PURPOSE OF REWARD NOT CONDEMNATION. There is a difference between the doctrine of judgment and the doctrine of bema. Your faithfulness is for reward not to determine your salvation

The writer is correct to an extent but the truth about salvation is that it is not something to bargain for otherwise it is of no value. It is a fact that the holy spirit which is a gift from God is born as a cid in a believer and it only grows by feeding on the WORD, but salvation does not grow, it was already a done deal before the believer was born or even conceived by their earthly pa-rent. Before the gospel came to the gentiles, there were people who worshiped the true God whole-heatedly and although Jesus refused or forbid his disciples to go pass the Jewish line, he prophecies that there were other children of another fold that needed to be en-graphed into the olive tree. Salvation is by fore-knowledge and it doesn't change by the end of people's life's journey, good or bad. It is a plan carefully playing itself out.

Now Jesus is the true vine, the Jews are the first bud and we are the bud from another fold. There is your 4-0-4 solved. Jesus once said, the tribulation would be so grave that if it were possible, it will confuse the elect, but it is not possible. He said, one should be mindful of the way they treat children, because their angels are in the presence of God, and it would be better to hand a rope on the neck and drown than to cause a child to fall from grace. Again, when the holy spirit is in you, there is nothing you do, that will ever offend God, unless your story is meant to be like that according to His own program. It is not you doing it. It is God himself. An example of this is Lucifer, Saul, Judas. They are all serpent cids

He is a new creature. Meaning has Never existed b4. Think about it

He is a new creature mean created anew or recreated in Christ Jesus. How could he not have never existed?

Have you read this scripture before?
..the life I live now, I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.
