I think this is where I end this banter with you... Cuz of the bolded. Seems you can't share ideas without some low blows.

Maybe you need to understand the series better. Reading the books would also help. You are responsible for what you understand and have every right to your own thoughts or ideas, whether wrong or right so I won't contrive to imprint anything on you.

Chao!

lol nigga I know I’m a pain in the ass right now but no vex abeg. I’m just trying not to be bias, I don’t hate Jaime honestly and I respect him a lot for standing up for the people and saving them but law na law brother, even for bible sef David killed the man who killed Saul even after hearing Saul begged him to do it.

because he is little and funny we just assumed he was intelligent. He might have gotten a bit of reps from The Battle of Blackwater but dude still lost until Tywin showed up. I still can't see any smart thing he has done since season 1
Exactly. Even me too

Ned didn't understand jackshit about why Jaime did what he did. He was a most honorable fool, remember? He judged him before he could defend his action.

Brienne is probably the only one in the realm who understands why Jaime killed Aerys.

Ned had every reason to praise Jaime for what he did but he didn’t because he knows Jaime did the wrong thing... the mad king killed his brother and burnt his father alive that was enough reason for him to even praise Jaime so don’t say he understands nothing

Most people wouldn't do this.
Even though our opinions differ on this matter, I applaud you for your message.

Like I said, Ned was a honorable fool. You'd expect such a reaction from a man like that.

You nailed it.
We fans are already used to having our theories disproved and our favorite characters killed, so I don't believe that that's the reason for the backlash. This season, we now have to watch interviews of the producers/directors to infer what really happened in a scene, like the "Dany kinda forgot about the Iron Fleet" comment by David Beinoff (like WTF?).

Or this one by the director of the last episode, David Nutter about Sansa ratting out Jon's secret.

“Well, she doesn’t say it blatantly, of course, basically inferred it, so I
think that that’s a moment that Tyrion has to put two and two together.”

That iron fleet scene doesn't make sense at all. She couldn't see them at that altitude but they could see her to the point of targeting and killing a dragon? GOT is too classic to make such a mistake. angry angry

If Ned was fair and just at all, he'd at least listen to Jaime's reasons and empathize just a lil bit. After all, Ned, too, helped a usurper to the throne, with good reasons to back it up.

he did and he told him plainly that it did not justify what he did.

Nah, come on. You call that joke of a scene a real confession You need to go back and watch his 'in-the-pool confession ' to Brienne during their captivity in the North. That singular action almost broke him.

he did not really tell Ned the reason.. What he told Ned was he helped him avenge Ned's father and brother's death.. The real confession was to Brienne of tarth in a pool after they were captured and his hands cut off. One of The reason she sees jaime as an honorable man.

lol bro u don’t get my point. I don’t need to watch that clip because We Nigerians we really listen to reply, From my precious post u will see that I agreed with the fact that Jaime saved lives by stopping the man from burning down the city, what I’m trying to let u know is that Jaime could have stopped the mad king even without killing him, the mad king was already doomed and he knows it. Jaime shouldn’t have been the one to deliver that blow considering his status, Ned knows it, Robert knows and everyone in kings landing knows it. The mad king deserves to die but not by Jaime’s sword. I know you are going to say the people in kings landing are unaware that he saved them but they are aware of the madness of the king and they know how cruel he was and that he deserved to die but still they still mocked Jaime for killing him cos they know he shouldn’t have been the one to kill him.

Here is an excerpt from the book;

“It fell to me to hold the Red Keep, but I knew we were lost. I sent to Aerys asking his
leave to make terms. My man came back with a royal command. ‘Bring me your father’s
head, if you are no traitor.’ Aerys would have no yielding. Lord Rossart was with him, my messenger said. I knew what that meant.
“When I came on Rossart, he was dressed as a common man-at-arms, hurrying to a
postern gate. I slew him first. Then I slew Aerys, before he could find someone else to
carry his message to the pyromancers. Days later, I hunted down the others and slew them
as well. Belis offered me gold, and Garigus wept for mercy. Well, a sword’s more merciful
than fire, but I don’t think Garigus much appreciated the kindness I showed him.”

From Jaime's perspective, the only way to truly stop the mad king was to kill him. Merely killing the pyromancer was just postponing the action; the mad king would have simply had someone else to carry out his order. For the problem to go away completely, the mad king had to go. It was nothing personal, it was simply duty.

Tho I agree he could have held the mad king captive till the rebels got there, but the king's guard are sworn to protect the king's secret. Killing the mad king was also to cover up his intention of roasting his own citizens. Jaime was just saving lives and doing his sworn duty at the same time.
