ShyWhale:don't let anyone force you to marry someone you don't see fit I think if you have enough knowledge, enough fund or you know how to get fund from BOI, the professional skill to manage such establishment, ambitious, persistent and does not give up easily, and you have conducted your market research to know the profitability and location that suits such establishment I think Nigeria is the best place you should be get to know people already in the business in Nigeria and learn how they have been able to cope and succeed but if you've got those qualities and have not done what's expected don't bother, if you can succeed business wise in Nigeria you can succeed easily any where around the world don't be at the foot of the leader over there just because your family are telling you not to come, you own your life |

As a Nigerian professional in the UK, you have a better chance of getting a professional role in the UK if you move here. Since you will need to rely on a spousal visa, you have no other alternative to come to the UK. On a more serious note, if your proposed wife was born and raised in the UK, there is a high probability that she will never behave like the typical Nigerian wife ( cook, clean, being receptive to your family members, house chores etc). You have a choice to make here. If she is from a good family, you can teach her loads of our traditional Nigerian values while in the marriage but be rest assured the marriage MUST last for 5yrs before you can be granted a permanent residence. 2 Likes |

ShyWhale: You can make $4000 to $6000 per month in Nigeria in business, especially if you have skills for web based businesses. While that's chicken change in comparison to the average earning in Europe or North America, if you earn that here, you'd be at least be able to live comfortably and travel at will and can easily prop yourself up. So, if you're looking for a business in Nigeria, try to avoid physical based ones as a startup. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Dude from your post, these are my reservations: 1. You are hungry for success- Good. 2. You care so much about family- Good 3. You let people’s opinion define your actions atimes- bad 3.you would consider marrying a woman to secure a good life, if UK works fine, you would show more love to the woman.- you love is conditional, your zeal for success/ professional jobs will make you go against your conscience- bad. 4. You haven’t done your research well. Aside being book smart, you got to be street smart. Street smart means combing people to buy you. Not everyone has this ability. Introverts don’t. I k ow there are formality and process in the western world but as black man you gotta forget the formalities bro. Look beyond your STEM Degree. Consider other countries, apply to those countries. You mentioned IT, isn’t it wisdom to shift to where it seems to be paying. I myself is an engineer but you find that IT is in all sectors now. Everyone is doing something related to IT in their jobs. Everyone is talking data which is more of IT and so I had to upskill myself. Upskill your self before you even consider Uk or Nigeria. You have a year to do menial jobs and upskill yourself. Hello bro, no one will hire you just because you have a German Masters... mention the skills you have. 5. You are still young and fit into trainee age range in Nigeria, so apply for the jobs. 6 Likes |

ShyWhale:with all sincerity o speak in me. it is true that Nigerian environment is harsh for business, but the Nigerian environment reward you more to any other place on earth for business. Chinese, Lebanese, Americans which every nationale you see in Nigeria, succeeds her in business in Nigeria. it is true that it tougher to do Business here to any other place in the world. look man the market is key to what ever business and Nigeria has the largest market force in the whole of Africa and one of 10 biggest market force in the world. stop allowing uninformed people advice you. I'm an entrepreneur and yes I face lot of challenge's every single day, but I am being rewarded for dealing with these challenges. I'm already starting my second business while the previous is self running already. my brother, I swear by the one who make heavens and earth Nigeria is rich with billions of opportunity that you will know that government jobs are for low people whom chose settle for less. believe you me, you make money and become rich in places with lot of problems and challenges to places where there are little or none. tell me what ever it is have to sell to Nigeria and I will tell you how much wealth you will make. 2 Likes |

Bros you don't want to love that girl. Open your heart and you will love the girl. E be like you no know wetin Nigeria dey pass through. The highest work a graduate can get here without connection is Receptionist or one 25k work. Startups in Nigeria tend to fail most times. I have friends that graduated and served years before me all unemployed; everyday travelling to the ends of the country for one interview or the other. It's more or less a committee of unemployed graduates. It's that bad that we no longer feel bad about our situation. By June another set will pass out and increase our number. As it is anywhere is better than Nigeria. Continue to visit the UK and see if things shape up between you and this girl. Why is it that women see us as an opportunity why can't we do the same, what bleeping pride do we have. There's nothing stopping you from loving her on the long run. Take a shot with the relationship. It's not like your options in Germany are that vast since you have just one more year. Should it fail to kick off in the UK you can return home. If you know the way boys dey find whitey to take pity on us and marry us you no go dey talk like this. Even if na cripple we don't mind. You go shock for the way I go love the cripple even she go dey fear. Truth be told there's not much here 1 Like |

ShyWhale: If you are not truly convinced about her please come back to Nigeria and start your own business if you have your money or stay there in Germany and start good business. There are many business you can do there and make money. Some of those business are Dropshipping, Affiliate promotion like Clickbank Affiliate that you will spend less money and still make cool cash. Dont go to UK to go and marry someone you font have feelings for so that it will not turn into something else. She was born in UK, been in UK 2ru out her life and if anything happen tomorrow she can divorce you my man. Think very well.... |

Oh well my second piece of advice is this; Does any member of ur family run a business? Do u have a trusted brother than can run a business for you? How many Lands or houses have u secure? Do u know y I asked this question? Have a critical thinking of wat is going on in USA...... All the benefits Obama brought for both citizens nd non citizens have been scrapped off by Donald Trump Mind you the world at large is in Economic, Financial nd political crisis........ Someone says dont come back home for the future of ur children hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Do u think Germany, Canada etc can not wake up one morning nd say foreigners are taking up there jobs? Which may lead to deportation........ See wat is happening in South Africa........ Mind u Germany nd those European countries are just using Us as modern slaves..... Finally everybody has told u there own point of view But I advise u to pray nd fast for God to review His plans for u....... If God says ur destiny is in Nigeria there's nothing u can do in Europe to make u succeed nd if He says ur destiny is in Europe there's nothing that will make u to make it in Nigeria. Remember u must one day come back home if not alive ur Dead body must surely arrive ur soil. If I want Gods favor do away with anything sin because it can barricade ur blessings....... Thank u God bless! 4 Likes 1 Share |

You can return to Nigeria but have an escape plan in place...in case you see anything you don't like....don't burn the bridges you built back in Europe. You may need to use them again. |

ShyWhale: Do you want a honest and frank advice... Move to the UK i repeat, move to the UK. I dont know about marrying the said girl but if thats what it takes, you only get that opportunity once, take it. Life is all about compromise. if it works out fine. if it doesnt, you move on as a british citizen. As a british passport owner, you are better off and unlimited. When you look at the worst case scenerio, remember Biafra guy, the only reason he had an option to escape is because he is british. The consequences of choosing nigeria are better left imagined. 2 Likes |

ShyWhale: Bro, everything you said about uk and Germany is 100% correct, I studied in the UK. Blacks hardly get professional jobs in the uk, especially black Africans without red passport. But you have a choice between Germany and uk. Nigeria is not an option for now if you havent acquired a german passport. How good is you knowledge of German language (reading and writing)? There are opportunities in Nigeria in terms of professional jobs if you come back, but then again, it's good to have an escape plan if your job search does not work in your favor. About the UK girl, there is no need marrying her as we all know how it would end, as you don't fancy her. If you don't have a german passport yet, I would suggest you stay put, fast and pray, God will surely answer, bless you with your dream job in germany. |

Please do not marry the UK lady. You said she's not your type, do not get into marriage that you'll live to regret for the rest of your life. Secondly, please remove"return to Nigeria" from your options, the country is now a nightmare. You can try migrating to other countries like Canada, new Zealand or Australia |

Okuda: Where do G boys meet their maga? It depends on how you package yourself. Internet is often neglected but do you know that it has the power to connect you to anyone you desire? A guy had the opportunity of a date with DJ Cuppy something he never would have done without internet and lots more than your brain can carry. You are too pessimistic and have inferiority complex. Some ladies have already made it. All they need is a man to call their own and besides op has prospects but lacks opportunity which what am recommending can solve. 3 Likes |

ShyWhale: The real truth is not that they are professional jobs out there looking for people but professional people who can do the job. Even if you are a waitress in a bar, there has to be some level of professional approach to it to make it legit and harassment free. A stripper even can be a professional and thats why one can do any job. its only in nigeria or a nigerian that feels you be head of departments to be professional or sit in one big office and dishing orders before you can feel among. Those driving buses in the UK are some of the highest paid in the UK and it just require you to be professional. The only country where i think professionalism cant work is nigeria and i repeat, relocating back home without being a passport holder of one of these developed nations is a bad idea. i can bet you, for now, fustration will set in and going out isnt easy coming in. people drinking sniper and jumping bridges are on the high.... |
