In my own opinion, I think the history of the account is as important as the balance in it. Someone with 10m balance without a good flow is likely to get a refusal letter based on insufficient funds. If your sponsor's soa indeed has a good history or if she can prove the source of the funds, then I think 5m should be okay. I may be wrong o Also, I think the fact that you were going for a prenursing was the reason for the purpose of visit thingy. So now that you are going for nursing, try to explain why you intend to study that abroad instead of staying back in Nigeria, and use your mom as a strong home tie. Explain that you have to come back home to take care of her since your dad is late; it's your obligation! (so sorry to hear about your dad). And erhmm maybe if she can gift you one of her lands and reserve it for your use at the completion of your program.

-Which course did he Study at the Uni?
-Which course is he intending to study in Canada?
-Is he currently employed? If yes....Is it related to his undergraduate course or intending course in Canada.
-Who was his sponsor?
-How much was in the sponsors account prior to his application submission?
-Did he pay any tuition fee?
-Did he include a LOE/SOP with his application?

Strong home tie, not you having job o but you must own the business.

Strong SOA, in the region of 20M if you haven’t paid for your tuition. Which will cover living expenses for both of you and your full tuition.

You can have a family co sponsor like you dad or MUM which is optional but then can still stand as home tie for you particularly if you are part of a family business which you probably could be a stake or shareholder.

There must be academic progression and what you are coming to acquire in Canada must be useful for the company and your country.

I believe the above is the basic thing but then remember that all other things will be checked by the VO. Things like the marriage certificate, the depandants of both party in any and other things.

The final thing is just the grace of God cos at times some pple won’t do up to that and they are given. But on the human perspective, what I gave you above is necessary.

OMO I still dey wait oh!. They also told me 5-10 working days and i was given a tracking number but the thing isn't giving me any tangible information. I have seen some really cheap flights and i don't know if I should just take the risk and book my flight now or still wait some more...
