Maxcollins042: You saw the look on Jon's face when things went haywire, right? And you obviously know that he isn't new to the battlefield. So why was he surprised? Why should an experienced soldier like him be surprised? The reason is because in war, when your opponent surrenders, you halt the attack. They have already surrendered, so why are you still attacking them? Even Ser Davos was surprised, another fighter. There are levels to madness, and the Dothraki raiders are at the top of the chain bar the Mad Queen. 4 Likes 1 Share |

GloryIsaac: If you had followed the story keenly right from season one or even read the book, you would have figured out that Jon was trained to become a fighter but he hates to fight. They were surprised because this wasn't what they knew the dragon queen for. Ser Davos have seen worst things than this but never expected that the queen would do such. The deal was to make Cercei surrender while they overtake the city without ramping up the casualties. So it's expected of them to wear the confounded look when things took an unexpected turn from their perspective. Moreover, the dorthraki and every other soldier there were merely following orders from above. It wasn't even only the Dorthraki that went on a murder and raping spree. There were other soldiers there that exhibited their own brand of madness as well. 1 Like 1 Share |

Maxcollins042: Sorry, bro, you are wrong! You can't hate something and be good in it. The only character that can pass for this is Sam Tarley, not Jon. Was there any scene that supports your notion? Right from the very beginning, he loved fighting. He made Arya her first sword, remember? He actually wanted her to be a fighter, too. If he hated it, he wouldn't encourage any other person to do it. Also, this same Jon was pissed when he wasn't made a fighter in the Night's watch. He loved training other fighters there. Avoiding fights once in a while and being honorable doesn't prove he hates fighting. 8 Likes 1 Share |

mandysmum: Greyworm ehn That niccur has some real issues. Torgo's silly pettiness, I believe, took root during Jon's first meeting with Dany at Dragonstone. That meeting, you'll remember, didn't end well for both parties, with Jon being a tad-bit insolent towards the Queen (even as much as figuratively calling her a child) and refusing to bend the knee in the end. As a loyal servant of Dany, one can forgive Greyworm for perceiving Jon as a pompous entitled twa.t who thinks himself a rival to the Unsullied captain's queen. That guy's loyalty na like a zombie's. E no dey hear go come. 1 Like |

Buharifanatic:Jon has been a passive character in season 8. This is because of his peace making nature. He claims Daenerys to be his queen (an excuse he uses to avoid being an opposition to her). But the final episode will tell who indeed is the greatest Character 2 Likes |

GRIMMJOE: Every TV has its setbacks. In Daenerys Character development it has always been displayed to us that she had psychotic issues (just like her brother and ancestors). Show runners showed how she watched her brother die without shedding a tear. Even the worst of villains care for their kinsman 6 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Brukx(m): 2:06pm On May 15, 2019 |
Buharifanatic: Jon Is not mad. In Varys' voice "any time a targaryan is born a coin is flipped, I don't know where hers (dany) has landed but I know where yours (Jon) has landed. I hope this explains why I won't call Jon mad. Not all Targaryans end up mad afterall(Maester Aemon is a good example) The coin in Varys' parable signifies "chance/probability". The mad King wasn't born mad. He had a break out in the later years of his reign. Dany has had her own breakout. |

afolwalex20:YES! Do you even watch any of the character explanations given by the directors at the end of each episode of season 8? Perhaps, you know better than them. Because Jon fought at the battle of the bastards, fought at the wall and some other fights doesn't mean he loves fighting. He fought the fights because there wasn't any other option. Just because you are good with a gun doesn't imply you must like shedding blood. N.B: Sam Tarly isn't even close at passing the description. He is a coward and has poor swordsmanship. 7 Likes 1 Share |

arantess:They arrived KL together but Greyworm took the lead, leaving Jon in the shadows as usual. Jon was meant to lead the charge. D& has emasculated Jon's character this season. Compare the Jon of Battle of the Bastards and this Jon who keeps repeating 'She is my Queen' like a broken record. |

GloryIsaac: Jon has never been in that position ..... in Dany,s shoes .. After Cersei killed her Dragon, behead Missandei... Betrayed by Vary and Tyrion.... Just imagine it was Arya and Sansa... Cersei beheaded..... U will definitely see the brutal side of Jon Snow ... Did you see how Ser Davos still want to behead Melisandre... Even after she played a major role in the Long Night fight..... No forgiveness Did you see the mean look from Greyworm..... Dany aint mad at all ...she did what is neccessary !!!!! 12 Likes 1 Share |

IamD18:reasonable in which era oga? Before the UN and the bills of Human Rights and international codes of conduct, humanity has been waging wars, committing genocide and other atrocities since Cain and Abel and to them it was all reasonable, so i ask you again, "reasonable in what era" ? After you answer the question, ask yourself what fictional era the show is set in again then advise yourself again on the reasonableness of Danny's atrocities in kingslanding in that era 6 Likes 1 Share |

mandysmum:you got everything muddled up, greyworm removed the unsullied stones to signify that half of the unsullied are dead, Jon and Royce also removed half each of their armies, what that scene basically says was that half of the people that fought against the dead died. 4 Likes |

Re: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Nobody: 4:20pm On May 15, 2019 |
Willie2015: In all honesty, i had always known that Dany was going to turn mad, the excuse of doing what is necessary doesn't cut it. Thankfully, the show writers proved me right. I have my reasons.... 1. Ever since those dragons matured, Dany has been burning people everywhere. At first, it seemed like she was the savior of the world, so a lot of fans didn't pick the clues that the writers were dropping. The burning of Sam's father and brother was a very strong message about a potential Mad Queen. 2. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Dany was hellbent on ruling the seven kingdoms at any cost, which is why Varys was bothered about her state of mind. Remember that Varys served under the Mad King, and a lot of others after him, so he clearly saw similar traits between father and daughter. Jon's refusal to be King made Varys even support him the more. 3. Dany rarely made decisions herself, which made me believe she wasn't worthy of being queen. She was excellent at saying 'Dracarys', but when it came to the major decisions that didn't have anything to do with execution....there was Ser Jorah - King of the Friendzone -, Tyrion Lannister, Jon Snow, Missandei, Lord Varys. 4. It wasn't necessary to burn down Kings Landing with all the innocents in it, but she made up her mind to do so because they didn't love her and to spite Cersei. Isn't that madness?, the children on the streets had absolutely nothing to do with the power tussle. 5. When she told Jon to hide his true identity, it was clear that insanity was already rising in her. She was desperate to rule the seven kingdoms and was going to do it at any cost. "I spent my life in foreign lands. So many men have tried to kill me, I don't remember all their names. I have been sold like a broodmare. I've been chained and betrayed, raped and defiled. Do you know what kept me standing through all those years in exile? Faith. Not in any gods. Not in myths and legends. In myself. In Daenerys Targaryen. The world hadn't seen a dragon in centuries until my children were born. The Dothraki hadn't crossed the sea. Any sea. They did for me. I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms, and I will." - The Mad Queen (To Jon Snow) 6 Likes 2 Shares |
