Would you let your mother or sister or daughter dance there??
Would you let a similar night club be set up in a family neighbourhood?

I am sure you would say yes....
is Nigeria not a secular state?
Is having a strip club contravening Nigerias laws?

Please point to the law where it is illegal...
Even the dumb zealots who carried out the demolition merely cited “noise pollution”.
It is morally illegal

This is not just ordinary demolition
You are wrong, it has nothing to do with politics, those Abuja Fulanis and Hausas will not tolerate such rubbish like strip clubs in their neighborhoods.
Ordinary hosting of the Miss World pageant was rejected by them not to mention strip club

Too much Nollywood lol

Firstorderwizard:
I condemn the demolition but seriously, strip clubs and brothel owners should be severely dealt with. Those places are criminal hideouts.

but is the demolition of the building the solution to prostitution in Nigeria? can't they easily find another more suitable building to continue their business?

Nigeria is governed by a bunch of senseless selfish fools, why demolish the building, will it stop prostitution? Why is prostitution a crime in this country for goodness sake

I don't think it has much to do with prostitution but rather someone took offence to the activities around the place, I read somewhere that the noise was an issue with neighbors. And it seems to be located in a residential area. With powerful and well connected neighbors you can't afford to dismiss any complaints.

The country is already in a bad state and we are finding ir really hard to cope with the moral depravity plaguing it now.
Believe me, if prostitution is made legal, your sisters and daughters (if you have any) will join it gladly since you see nothing wrong in it.

I personally believe any place that aids and abets such moral debauchery needs to be brought down.

You are right, it can't be cause of prostitutes, but still even if it's the noise public disturbance or what ever destroying that building is pure wickedness why not just close it down

i don't patronize prostitutes bt If prostitution is a heinous crime why not embark on a national awareness programe? more over ending prostitution when nigerians are dying of hunger, poverty and unemployment is sarcastic

The country is in a bad state, are the prostitutes to be blamed for it? What moral depravity are you talking about? Is prostitution a new thing in Nigeria? Countries that legalized prostitution why are they coping with moral depravity? And if my sisters and daughters join prostitution if its legalized what's bad there do you know how many ladies became multi millionaires cause of prostitution? A building worth billions a man's source of livelihood it's destroyed overnight do you know how many people look up to the owner of that building for survival, ok what should the man do now start robbing banks or kidnapping how about the people under him? , those prostitutes might have kids to feed should those kids starve to death now? I don't know on what grounds you are judging this case even if it's religiously or traditionally, prostitutes have always been amongst us , it's just pure selfishness and wickedness to lock up prostitutes and demolish night clubs,

This is so wrong. Why do we have leaders that don't think.!? At least that place its a creating one or two jobs. They just increase the unemployment level by 0.00001%. While not convert the place to a govt school l, hospital or even a police station, then settle the owner to relocate his business. No this is not good. Truth be told.

talking about one Nigeria yet a Nigerian cannot operate without religious prejudice. This country is a wrong union. What is anyone's business whether anyone chooses to be a prostitute so far as they don't hurt anyone or overstep their boundary while carrying out their business. It is so sad

Funny you, it's not about me. Am educated and employed, yet I can feel the plight of those uneducated strippers. I see what some people pass through in this country. I am not supporting these ladies, but even some developed countries don't do this to helpless women. They should have helped them with a trade or capital to start something.
