Don't mind them, let them be lying to themselves. I'm not arguing the completion rate along the Abeokuta-Ibadan axis of the rail {which terminated before the level crossing at Iju (he area where there was a train accident 2 weeks ago involving a stupid keke driver that claimed the lives of all passengers, including the stupid keke driver)} but there's still a whole lot of work to be done on the Iju-Lagos axis of the project. The rail passes through the front of my gate at iju-ishaga and I can categorically tell you guys that that this project can never be ready by December this year. I don't even know why Rotimi Ameachi is in a hurry to deliver this rail project by May 2019 except if they want to do the Ambode magic by commissioning a project that is still WIP. Iju-Fagba is still pending, they are still trying to clear the land from Fagba - Agege, Agege-Ikeja is still untouched, Ikeja-Oshodi is still untouched, Oshodi-Mushin is still untouched, Mushin-Yaba is till further notice. Except if the 90% completion they are talking about is for a different rail project but if it's the same Lagos-Ibadan rail project being handled by the Railway arm of CCECC, then It can't be completed in 2019. They are still battling with the Crictical Path of the project (which is clearing the land, levelling it and pouring granite) not to talk of laying the tracks proper. Even the Station they are building at Agbado Crossing is not even up to 20% completion. I would have posted pictures but it's dark now and light no dey.

Reconstruction/Rehabilitation of Gbongan-Iwo-Oyo road in Osun/Oyo States

- Originally awarded in 2011, with 18-month completion period.

- Abandoned around 2014.

- Contractor mobilised back to the site in 2017.

The fact that they haven't touched all the roads you mentioned means the ones mentioned are lies and haven't been touched or you just mean if they can't fixed the ones you mentioned, they shouldn't do anything at all unless they start fixing the hundreds of thousands or millions of roads in Nigeria.?

What's the crying completing the railway in 2019 anyway? Last time I checked, work is going on non stop.

You are not making any sense. When they don't you complain, when they finally do, you still complain.

AutoReportNG:
The question on the lips of many Nigerians have been when will the Lagos-Ibadan Railway start work after all the minister promised last year that by May 2019 the train would have been working. In as much as we try to reply series of emails, calls, and messages on the social media, it is expedient to note that we can't answer all the questions as we don't work directly or closely with the minister of transportation, RT. Hon Rotimi Amaechi but we can assure you that work is ongoing at various locations at Lagos, Ibadan, and Abeokuta.

The minister was in Lagos recently where he toured Apapa, Constain, Ebute, Agege and Agbado Stations to see things for himself and see how work is going.

For example, Costain is getting a new Bridge, as part of the Lagos-Ibadan Rail project. The old Bridge will be demolished (it’s too low for the new train), Construction has already started on the new one. Also, Demolitions are ongoing from the site of the Apapa Station to make way for the railway line.

Recently, the completion of all civil works and this include, embankment, cuttings, culverts, and bridges have been completed, also, out of the 156.8km Lagos - Ibadan Railway, Section 3 of the measured 45km road between chainage DK75 to DK120 has been done and civil works of this section which includes a 6.67 million cu.m of earthworks, 1 major bridge, 2 medium bridges, 5 underpasses, 12 overpasses, and 72 culverts have all been completed. The Bridge at DK77 has been completed too and ready to be used.

So far, the tracks now stand at KM 123, now in Oyo State they promised to get to the final stop (KM 158) in Ibadan by end of May or early June

These are some of the images from the site across the 3 states

Pls,help us ask Mr Amechie-Hon Min.of Transport-which Custain-is itthe one after Stadium in Lagos, for the past 4-months or so nothing is going on,i still passed the place last week, workers are not doing anything visible,in fact the Chinese must have got stocked. Then let's ask Min.of.Works,the extent of work performed on Ikorodu-Shagamu- Road is snail speed. This particular Road should be a lot of interest to the public because most Trailers routes their products to NNPC Under pipelines, hence heavy road traffic.we expect Mr Fashola and Mrs Erewa-the woman in Diaspora.to be interested more in this particular project because of its immense benefits to the Public. Why is it that Contractors don't place the period of Project Starting and Completion on the Road to gauge against time of completion by the public.?This is deliberate.

The problem with Nigeria is that some region want it all and they never want others to get even one thing and they are very happy about that. GEJ started all those project in SW yet they hate him. SW railway, Ibadan express, Ore are all are PDP project, PDP spread project all over Nigeria and where building all simultaneously, you cant compare it when a project is built only in North West and South West, that is not development. The SW jubilating should remember that the money used in building this is coming from Niger Delta oil money.
PDP spread projects all over Nigeria, APC is also spreading projects all over Nigeria. Enough of all this uninformed idle talk.

By the way GEJ did not start Lagos Ibadan rail. Neither did he start the Lagos ibadan Expressway or the benin Ore road. He didnt start any of those any he didnt finish any of them.

APC don't need South-South & South-East to stay in power for more 30year's. They luv PDP with nothing to show for it. 4year's of Buhari is better than 16year's of PDP.

What have APC done in the last 4 years that superseded this one of the things done by goodluck ( building 9 Federal University). Until we tell yourself the truth ad act on it, progress will be hard to come by.
