Ask and you shall be given!

Maybe I should try this. My PPR would come 2 months after submission! *waits* undecided

ladymarshall:
I'm PPR story hungry and I'm sure I'm not the only one starving. Almost 10 pages gone and no story. Wrap up your scripts and share your stories with us, dear fellow Canadian hopefuls grin

PPR CLINCHED!
ITA 8/8/18
AOR 17/9/18
S
I
L
E
N
C
E
GHOST UPDATE 17/5/19
PPR MAIL 17/5/19
Approximately 8 months post AOR

Our (my wife and I)decision to relocate to Canada was based on many factors. We were also motivated by our siblings in the diaspora who are soaring high in their various fields.

IELTS
This was done with BCIE which wasn’t a smooth sail for me. I didn’t study much cos I felt it would be a walk in the park since it’s ‘english’ but I didn’t know ielts had plans to humble me. Score was SLWR 7,6.5.6.5,7. My wife passed hers! I wasn’t deterred. I immediately registered with MOD and took the test 1 month later and after much intensified jacking, I passed with the minimum required score 8777.

MEDICALS
This was done at IOM Maitama Abuja, sometime in August 2018. I had to do a sputum test/culture after they found a scar on my chest X-ray (Trying and tempting times). My medicals was finally passed in November 2018, 3 months after AOR.

PCC
We got our police certificates from the Force HQ in Abuja. I paid 20k for my wife and I. I also obtained PCC from the UK

ECA
We used WES for both undergraduate and masters degree

WORK REFERENCES
We got the CIC format for references and asked senior colleagues from our organizations to write this for us. Attached payslips, offer letters etc.

POF
My wife and I combined funds to invest in tbillz for a 6 month period. Submitted the certificate with 6 months bank statement.

Then the wait...
Boy! I lost count of how many times I logged into my CIC account.
Ordered 1st GCMS on 23rd feb
Ordered 2nd GCMS on 27th March
Both notes were basically the same thing. No difference and it was very evident that our file had not been touched.
We also called CIC (3 times) and each time we spoke to them it was the same cliche of our file
Being in que and waiting to be reviewed by an officer.

This past week on Friday I got a ghost update saying application/profile updated. Woke up the next morning on Saturday and saw the PPR Mail sitting pretty in my mail box.

In closing, At every stage you find yourself in be it ITA, AOR, ECA, re writing IELTS, awaiting PPR etc just keep pushing and understand you are a step closer to your goal. Delay is not denial, it will end in praise.

Thank you @ifeoma77 for your assistance.

There's no such thing as British Express Entry into Canada. What I think you are requesting information about is IELTS exams. You should probably go and read up page 1 of this thread. Best of luck.
Thank you for your response. I will make more enquiries about the IELTS especially from page 1 as advised and ask questions where necessary.

Lady W. You are good to go. So many people have got PPR being Entrepreneurs. Your case isn't any different. What is your CRS score?

Can I go ahead and calculate my CRS score when I haven’t sat for IELTS? Because I left that link when they asked for my IELTS score

Is it too late to say congrats again?

Been off here a minute.

Kindly advise.

I am 29, will be 30 next year.
I have a B.Sc.
I have almost 5 years of experience
IELTS score: 9,8,7.5 7
Single.

My present score is 438. considering it's low.

What programme can I start and conclude before the year runs out to improve the odds?

I am open to a wide range of suggestion.

Cheers and merci beaucoup.

Acquiring internationally recognized certificates like BCS certificate in IT, CIMA certificate in business accounting and the likes to claim two or more certificates can help you increase your CRS point. And also think back, you may have acquired ND, HND in the past, if that is the case, please send it for evaluation ASAP

Hello, does anyone have an advice for me.

I'm concluding my NYSC next month. I have no job or skill, owing to the fact that I'm an agriculture student and it goes without saying that I spend all my time on agric related issues.

For reasons beyond my powers, I find myself preparing for IELTS.

Now my questions?

How do I sort the work experience aspect?

Do you know anyone who had the same difficulty as myself.

How did they handle it, where they successful?

Thank you Lady Marshall

Evaluate only Msc (Bsc is unnecessary), for Nigerian Msc degrees, Waec is compulsory see earlier response here https://www.nairaland.com/5031893/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/442#78104049

Yes. Use LWRS 8777 for IELTS when calculating. (LWRS =Listening, Writing, Reading, Speaking)

Congratulations on your PPR. It was a long wait but it has ended in praise.

I am really happy for you because your very high CRS score was what prevented the any rejection based on that NOC. God came through for you.

You score 8.5/10

We wish you and your family the best in your new country

MY EXPRESS ENTRY JOURNEY

My first close contact with relocation to Canada was in 2016 when my sister left with her family. She had started the process as far back as 2014 when it was paper based. She studied the entire process and eventually got the PR.

Many thanks to all who answered the questions I asked here. I appreciate you all for the wealth of info on this thread. It was indeed a great source for me in the early days.
