Isn't the 'tourist/visit multiple entry visa' for touring and visiting only?

You just asked what I'm asking of too.

I know such convertion from (Tourist - Residence) works in some countries, that's why I'm asking for that of Canada.

Hi. Don't be discouraged. It's just be a blessing in disguise. Your PPR might just swoop in even before you leave Accra.

Please reach out to @bronze25 who was added to a WhatsApp interview group. She should be able to help place you in the same WhatsApp group. Read her PPR gist here.

If you change from spouse not accompanying to accompanying after AOR, your CRS will be calculated with all the information that existed as at the time you got ITA so if your spouse's IELTS/ECA is dated after that time, it will most likely not be taken into consideration.

Start doing the things you can do on your part and try your best to convince your spouse. Another option is to do spousal sponsorship after you get to Canada but "na long thing".

omoluabiade:
I am with only one thinking of putting spouse as non accompanying since they are not ready to write IELTS and ECA? And if eventually they come around will change status to accompanying, submit necessary documents and pay up irrespective of the stage am in.

Any similar and successful case? Saw one on canadavisa

It was PPR guys !!!
So me and @WhizzyG went to receive PPR same time, same day from same station.

1. Timeline
Express Entry process simplified for me - March 2018 (by my friend in Canada)
Swung into action - March 2018
ECA by WES for PA and Spouse - March/April 2018
IELTS - March 2018 (flunked, L7.5); April 2018 (passed).
.
.
Waiting for CRS to drop
.
.
ITA - Oct. 15, 2018
Medicals - Nov. 12, 2018 (IOM Abuja)
AOR - Nov. 15, 2018
Med Passed/BIL - Dec. 17, 2018
Biometrics done and updated - Dec. 20, 2018
.
.
Waiting patiently
.
.
ADR - May 9, 2019 (Educational/Personal activity of spouse 2016 to 2018)
Typed response to ADR on paper, signed, scanned and uploaded - May 10, 2019.
Profile updated and ADR Not Applicable - May 15, 2019

PPR Mail - May 16, 2019. Came in 11:35pm, seen early hours of May 17, 2019.

Passport couriered May 17, 2019. With delivery truck as I type.

2. What is different
A. I applied with non-accompanying spouse: In reason for non accompanying, I told them that our CRS no reach with accompanying. So it's the only way that we could get ITA. Yeah, that straightforward. I guess it has no effect on the processing.

B. Half of my POF came in a few days before submission. It was proceeds from the business I run with my brother, so my brother transferred the money as a gift to avoid unnecessary complication of submitting business papers and all that. But then I didn't submit a gift deed. My brother just wrote a formal letter that I'm not expected to pay back the money. So, I think gift from a relative listed in your application must not be accompanied with gift deed. All these affidavit and court papers may not be necessary.

C. All the POF were pushed to Treasury Bills. They all matured before PPR. I didn't contact IRCC to say that I'm reinvesting or keeping the cash or updating POF with CSE. No need for stressing oneself. If IRCC needs updated POF, they'll let you know.

3. Why leaving Nigeria.
Nigeria is a country to leave.

4. For our Express Entry Nairaland family
I wish to thank you all for the help, information, positive spirit and all then helpful tips. This is a place to be. I can't be thankful enough for the wealth of information in different parts of this thread. I'm glad my PPR will be on this thread Part 8.
Apologies also for announcing this PPR late. I've been in a remote location with limited internet access.

5. For those awaiting PPR or at one step of this process or the other.
Be strong and positive. You must be patient. Everybody wants to get PPR in one month but it can't be so. Some get so quickly and others get around 6 months or more. One thing is certain: if you have everything you claimed and provide genuine documentations to back them, IRCC MUST give you PR visa. It's a matter of time.
YOU WILL CELEBRATE SOON!

My PPR twin mate @WhizzyG, congratulations once again! Warn your dog o!

By the way Visa Office VO is our beloved Ottawa
NOC . . . emmm ermm . . . I don forget be that o.

To God be the glory.

Good afternoon my fellow Nairalanders. Please I need suggestions from the gurus in the house. I'm post AOR and I noticed that my names and that of my spouse was not written in full on our children's birth certificate. Mine has just my Surname and middle name while my spouse's name is just the surname and first name.
Should i get a one and same person affidavit and submit via CSE? Will it be an oversabi to do this? Make una help me biko.

The doctor of optometry degree(OD) is classified as a professional degree by all credential assessment bodies. So is dentistry.
damzy88:
Are you sure about this? I thought only Medicine,Pharmacy and Law are classified as Professional degree according to Express Entry. Thanks
